I still loved the game but the NG+ cycle is trash and there's barely any equipment variation to Fashions Dogma it at end-game, especially for pawns. All the best looking equipment is locked to Arisen-only vocations.

Skyrim was the most important game from Bethesda, DD2 was just a test for the RE Engine before Monster Hunter Wilds, also, True Modding, something DD2 don't have, and probably never will. Anyone here saying the game is weak isn't wrong because Capcom never intended to make it great, that's what they planned for MHW, but the game still have a really fun gameplay nonetheless.

Just play it yourself to see how you like it. I got swept up in one of the hype trains years ago and didn’t like it. Got to the point in the story where Julian and Shegoat fought and she got BTFO and was insanely bored, so I went to BBI and gave up on the main game entirely. Got a good 10ish hours of fun gameplay before shelving it. Replayed a bit on PC after buying it on a $5 sale after DD2 was announced, dropped it after killing the Griffin since my feelings hadn’t changed.

The Steam Top 100 has a decent number of single player games, and even when you strip away any roguelites and easily moddable titles with custom quests n' shit, you still get ones like The Witcher 3 peaking in at over 10-13k players consistently. Good games still get played and replayed often, and the fact that DD2 is meant to be replayed and is that low does in fact say something.

I disagree because I think most of the top steam games are slop. Fallout 4 is a legitimately terrible game, but it's massively popular.
Popularity usually means it's safe and caters to a wide audience in both complexity and aesthetics. You're never going to see some super complex game with a Guiseppe Arcimboldo style run at the top spots. Hidden gems is a term for a reason.

I love dragons dogma but the performance is really bad on my PC and I can wait. I have music I wanna make anyway so I'm busy but I am sad that it runs like shit. I have like 30ish hours in it I enjoyed every second of the gameplay but I couldn't sink my teeth into it cause I never got over 45fps.

DD2 isn't that bad, you can have fun. But it's just not a very good game.
Performance is terrible, especially in cities. You have NPCs teleporting in and out of existence to increase the terrible performance, it's really immersion breaking.
Many quests are super vague and you often have no clue what to do. Good luck solving the Sphinx Riddles without a guide.
The main story never really takes off. The side quests are horrible. The Characters are fricking boring. DD1 had a lot more memorable moments and characters in story and side quests.
Enemy variety is too small, you'll be fighting the same enemies every 10 meters. No 5 different versions of Harpies and Lizards is not interesting.
Traveling around is a pain in the ass. No Portcrystal in Bakbattahl is a fricking insult to the players.
My pc isn't strong enough to properly play this at 60fps, I'm waiting to buy this so I can play it at a rock solid 60fps
