Johnny Silverhand is one of the cringiest game characters ever. His "Wah! Corporations/Capitalism/Arasaka" shtick is awful and Keanu Reeves is a terrible voice actor.

Okay, sure. But was he wrong?
>wtf the guy who screams FRICK THE SYSTEM wants to FRICK THE SYSTEM
>Character known for being a narcissistic butthole is written to be a narcissistic butthole.
How could CD Project have done this?
hes so charismatic that when he tried to kill V in the beginning i was kinda ok with it
the7y couldnt have done a better job with him, and yea, VA is a big part of it
I mean. Corporations in most Cyberpunky games tend to be the big bad guys.
Replacing Jackie with KeaNo Sneeds might have played well with the neckbeards but almost ruins this game for me. the rapport you have with Jackie is so much more immersive and grounded imo. Relic storyline should have remained as an arc within the overall plot. Johnny Silverhand is a weak and silly character to build an entire plot around.
Genuinely bold mature storytelling would see the missions side quests play out like little Tech Noir type storylines with more attention to quality over quantity. they really shit the bed with the slop in this game
yea, nice pasta, just saw it in the other tread
have a nice day
no I've modified it since then and corrected a couple of typos especially for you.
but he's not wrong
i enjoyed it.
the whole booting up after you're dead was pretty cool.
too bad the game is just pew pew pew and thus boring.
Counterpoint:
Joey Silverwiener is such a c**t
Too bad you have to suck his dick to get the best ending, which is assaulting Arasaka tower by yourself
He is. I wish he suffered even more.
He should've been played by Henery Rollins.
for some reason I didn't think he killed that many people with his attack but I found out earlier it was over 12000 people or something, that is fricking nuts, I can't get along with this guy.
>he doesnt know
he wasnt the one who planted the nuke, the 2023 Arasaka Tower memory is a straight-up lie mixed with a bit of truth here and there
do you hav any proof of this?
NTA, but yeah. Cyberpunk 2020 Firestorm campaign. It was Morgan Blackhand that did most of this shit, Johnny just died like punk to Smasher.
Not just Firestorm, the tie-in tabletop sourcebook that's meant to act as promo for 2077 adapts the scenario you're describing.
alright but seeing that cp2077 is internally consistent and doesnt really miss such details because it was jannied by the creator of the tabletop i would expect for there to be a clue that allows for jonnys memories to lie
could be subtle but since there are clues for almost everything else in the story, why not something this important
and i didnt see one
on the contrary, jonnys "friends" remember parts of memories that are in the same flashback sequence
>on the contrary, jonnys "friends" remember parts of memories that are in the same flashback sequence
The only friend that references the 2023 events is Rogue, and she's deliberately very wishy-washy about what happened. And even then she contradicts some details from the flashback, like Johnny never working with Thompson again.
Honestly, for me it's a compromise between Pondsmith and CDPR - Pondsmith wanted Never Fade Away and Firestorm adapted, CDPR wanted a story about Johnny. So in order to have a cake and eat if too (we need to sell Johnny to the audience somehow, even if he died like a punk during the Arasaka raid), CDPR have replaced Blackhand with Johnny and said that the memories were "unreliable". Also, I am pretty sure Pondsmith vetoed the use of Blackhand in the game. It's his DMNPC after all and he didn't want to waste him on just a flashback.
rogue is vague but nobodys forcing her to do a play-by-play of something we already saw in the game
the only thing he actually did was "liberating" Alt, that was all true, and even then it omits the part where he gives the engram data to Murphy (and the one where Murphy throws Alt to beyond Blackwall for her safety because the idiot tried to grab the mangled remains of Johnny)
Whoa, who is responsible for making the memory a lie? and why?
I remember reading that the development of Cyberpunk storyline got restarted almost from the ground up with the addition of Wholesome Keanu Chungus 100. Was there any other claims from insiders to substentiate that or was it just hearsay/made up shit ?
>I remember reading that the development of Cyberpunk storyline got restarted almost from the ground up with the addition of Wholesome Keanu Chungus 100.
Yeah. You read that on Ganker. With no actual source what so ever. It's just a moronic Ganker cope theory, there is absolutely no evidence for it, and it makes literally no sense.
Nah, this "in previous build you were able to pick who is on the Relic" shit was always a massive tinfoil hat theory, that someone came up with after adding two and two together and getting five.
This "childhood hero" shit in 2018 demo was nothing more but an early draft of the lifepath system. Not to mention, that would be an insane amount of work that puts Witcher 2 to shame.
>ITT oppositional homosexuals wah for attention
Yeah anon how DARE he criticize and oppose le wholesome hecking megacorporations that ruined the world?
He made Ganker frick some geriatric b***h, bet her pussy flaps were moldy
Anyway Arisaka corpo ending is the best and cannon
>He made Ganker frick some geriatric b***h
She gets cold feet right before getting down for real though.
