Judging from the last thread posts, the guild store spirit gems seem to drop every 6 days. Meanwhile, a scroll was seen on the 27th, 15 days after the guild system was implemented. So maybe we'll get another scroll from the guild store on the 11th?

The new Business Time Master V uses 50 energy and 1 trade permit with 91+k battle power for 100k gold. It took me 13 turns using my season 1 trials team to finish. The stronger enemies' attacks with the hound and bull might be troublesome for those with low hp units or with a weak healer. I defeated them in this order: fairy > monkey > bull > hound > golem
Up next, the season 2 trials boasts 160 floors. I just passed the 5th floor boss Olivine and the winning strategies are still the same.

Man I couldn't even finish the season 1's trials (I think I made it to 40something, the 5 scrolls reward), I doubt I can go past 100 on these.
Also my problem in the first season was simply that my teams were somewhat underleveled by the end (I don't even have all my SSRs up to 50 let alone 60, and my SRs are 45 or below), but if S2 has 100+ trials, that means you can't rely on levels or rarity alone, you need at lot of 3-5 stars SSRs with maxed intimacy AND probably 10 potential or above. In short I think you're forced to whale this time.

I think Nu shotas that don't have H scenes with adult Eiden would probably be overall well received. Personally, I wouldn't be opposed to shota H scenes and I feel like I'm aware of a lot of eastern Nugays who would also enjoy it, but I tend to follow fellow degenerates. There's definitely a bizarrely large number of hypocritical moralgays who consume fantasy porn, but I dont know if they make up a significant portion of the consumer base or not.

I'm asking because I've got like 30 contracts sitting around and, if there's no immediate use for them, I'd rather blow them on the banquet gacha. my poor Garu is only 1 star and Kuya could use another rank up too.
It's hard to say. Ever since WD and ZL were leaked they have avoided adding banner images till the day of the event, so there not being any images is not confirmation that there isn't a new banner. However, for Yokai Banquet they did pre-load Garu and Kuya's skills and intimacy rooms. I'm not seeing that this time around, so this can either mean there is no banner attached to it or the devs are catching on once again and won't add them till the day of. I guess you can always wait a couple of days and see if the reveal any silhouettes.
One thing of note is that they did add portraits of Eiden (kid and adult) that indicate that he might be playable, but unlike the other characters he does not have a damaged portrait. So, either it's a placeholder, or he's just going to be a special character for this event.

In one of the update notes it said Dante will be added when CH 10 is released. So basically... a long time. Longer than it took for Blade because they seem to be pushing content slower now.

I feel like SSR Morvay/Aster are the biggest lie. I have a gut feeling they were never meant to be SSRs and the player base is waiting for nothing. If Eiden's name really is "Eight"/"Eighto," then we already have all 8 clan members.

How's the fight? I'm excited to tackle the new bosses, but I'm taking it slow at the lower floors and farming gifts for opening all of my usable units' intimacy rooms.
Not that hard as i was expecting, surprisingly. Olivine is immune to damage whole fight and you have to defeat his minions to battle departure him. My order was knight-gigolo-thief-bandit. You don't have to bring in healers because boss Olivine keeps healing you, so i went ham with support+strikers, i would recommend leveling them to lvl 50-55.
I’m actually surprised nucarnival has people strategizing on how to fight bosses. i’m so used to joseimuke games being auto centric. with nugovernment being a porn game i thought they would make the game as easy as possible to attract a large player base
Well most of the time, if you have big numbers, you can brute force through content. The only thing that blocked me is the AOE Garu trial and the shit with the five healing koalas.
It's kind of the opposite experience for me, I could strategize my way out of most trials, but I got filtered by the ones you can't really beat without some decent "brute force" (HP especially)
like the fricking mutant jellyfish and especially the fumongus, what the frick am I supposed to do about those? some cards get immune to poison and paralysis but that's at 5 stars of potential level 12 or some shit

How much damage does your SSR Quincy receive from King Dante? I have Quincy as my main attacker too. The elemental weakness worries me because I don't have any other backup striker I can use other than Homecoming Yakumo and SR Aster. I'm also waiting for the last 10 SR Morvay fragments to drop from the friendship banner so I can upgrade him to 3* to boost his hp/attack. I have a lot more rooms ahead of me before I can reach the top.
I'm stuck in same hole as you, my team tanks hits really well but they just can't hit back, my greenman takes around 3842 damage and I think I'll legit start wasting scrolls on SSR Edmond
Aw. That much damage huh. I guess I'll see how fast my team can die once I reach the final boss. I'm not keen on using my scrolls so I'll focus on raising enough gold for everyone's upgrades since the ticketed gold farming stage was raised to 100k per battle which means 3mil gold per month, or just 2.1mil this June.
Blade's boss battle conditions were more forgiving since one unit can freely die while the rest finishes the battle while Dante's relies on pure strength. tfw Dante's battle conditions make sense because his character is a harsh taskmaster.
Perhaps having a healer is worth rerolling for? Or just go for multiple SSRs. For now, you can't really get Dante since his introduction banner ended and he won't be added to standard banners until chapter 10 is released (we don't know how long that could take). However, the next event SSRs will likely be Blade/Dante so you could start now and save your rolls for that, or just wait until the event is active to reroll. Personally, I think the amount of rolls you get from logins/dailies/events is pretty good as long as you're not trying to pull every single event SSR. The pity system could be better, though. There's no guarantee you will get an event SSR instead of a standard, and it may not even be the event SSR you want.

I find SR Yakumo frustrating to use for a number of reasons. He has relatively low HP, he has nothing to do while everyone is healthy (olivine is always stacking the regen boosts from turn 1), and if he needs to guard when others need healing, well, you're screwed. For example, if you have to heal your characters because next turn some big super moves are getting unleashed, it means he won't guard and might get taken out. It's less of a problem for olivine because a) he can skip a turn and your party still gets healed b) he's way beefier so he can generally tank a super without guarding.
but for those reasons Yakumo is also very good for scripted battles (switching between guarding and healing at opportune times) and more importantly, he's also the only other decent healer I have and he can be paired with Olivine for those battles when constant healing is very important (mushrooms, jellyfish etc)
And I agree, Morvay is vital and Aster is a very nice SR either way.

Alright, I'm done. Aster's quite a striker at 4*. He saved my ass in this fight with my 3* Morvay. I used my stocked advanced enhance mats unlocking all possible attack nodes at potential 6 for all except for SR Yakumo just to deal that finishing blow by turn 18.

To those wondering, this is my team. I had to battle Dante twice so I could complete all 180 stars. First time I fought him, everyone was at level 57 potential 6, intimacy 5/4 and I only got 2 stars because I defeated him at turn 20. I'm f2p so I farmed gold, using them for my strikers upgrades before I battled Dante again for the last star. Thankfully, I succeeded in defeating him at turn 18 so I didn't need any further leveling for my team.
This was the same team I used against first season Blade except they were about four levels weaker and I had a 3* SR Olivine instead of SSR Knight Edmond. I was bummed about the no support unit thing when I first read the win conditions, but you midas well overcome adversity through the pure gold ausomeness.
A theory is making the rounds on EN and JP twitter about the pattern for the cover song series. If it's real, there are some really good Pokemon OPs I wish they would cover because I'm not gonna lie, Mezase Pokemon Master would put me to sleep if that's what they go with.
Nu Carnival feels like it's dying and Eiden's Birthday event not having new SSRs doesn't help (I'm assuming there would have been news by now if it did.)

Understandable. At end of chapter 9, Eiden's stabilized four out of five altars. Only the dark altar is left, but the fire altar's been held together with essence glue after it got shattered so it may probably act up again.
He's already accomplished this much, but he's still being tossed around like a ragdoll in a hurricane in the main chapters while there's evidence in the SR/R stories he's received some minor training in combat, academics, survival skills, and healing info from his clan members.
They're still keeping the key stuff vague like Huey, the King of Klein Kingdom, Leader of the Sorcerer's Association(I mean, a bunch of top secret 007 sorcerer spies probably has a head honcho calling the shots amirite?), nameless country that manufactured/sent Blade, wandering Yokai King, Leader(?) of the Elemental Spirits, Main Spiritual Leader of the Klein Religion, Head Captain of the Klein Kingdom, etc.
I say, NuGovernment probably unbalanced it by coming too strong too fast on the White Day event. Everyone who participated in it got swole even though they fricked up explaining some vital mechanics behind it like the skip ticket team usage multiplier, and the farming stage item round down. Season One Sorcerer's Trials didn't give exp to prevent it from happening again, and they sort adjusted the difficulty in the Zest for Life event, but they still screwed it up with the amount of zest given in the most difficult stages, and the number of people unhappy were yay high with the dupe original SSRs they rolled instead of the event SSRs. The Mystical Banquet event was a relief from the previous high pressure skip ticket eating events, and this time it's challenging, but one doesn't need to use brute force to win.

Man, I got my guys to the final boss, but it was an annoying fight as I didn't have any other decent units or resources to deal with a tricky fire based enemy.
I was 11.2k damage short of ending it in the 18th turn and I was left with a 179 star count when I defeated the boss on turn 19. I definitely need one or two of my guys ascended to the next level for the completion of the trials.

Looks like the maximum guild level is 10 based NuGovernment's guild notice update last May which means there will only be a maximum 40 member count. Our level's halfway there, but it's a shame we still have a few member vacancies.

The best rewards are always roll currency, and there's nothing to roll for. Upgrade mats don't matter if you don't have new units to use them on too. I have no intention of quitting Nu yet, but it feels wrong that we're having a bannerless event this early when there's so little other content to occupy players.

It’s been 8 months since Tetora’s last 5* and 2 years since his last event, so whether or not swimsuits win I predict he’s going to get something similar next month or so.
The fact that blade and Dante are both tops makes me think that Blade will be paired with Morvay(bottom) or Aster(bottom) and Dante will be paired with the other. At this point, an all-tops or all-bottoms banner seems like an unwise business choice, but what do I know?
Aster's dialogues are killing me in this Klein Star event. He's still thinking of making money while in the middle of helping out with Blade's birthday gift preparations. Kinda weirded out Edmond still calls Eiden a fraud, is that his nickname for him? The most interesting interaction was between Quincy and Kuya. I already figured Kuya's tough love approach from his intimacy rooms, but his scenes here lay it wide open. I wonder how they'll do part 2 for the bgm? Using 3k energy just to get the wallpaper seems kinda hard.
Well, damn. I was salty about there being no banner for this event, but the scene where Eiden hands out his candies is really cute. He has a surprisingly charming relationship with his harem, even if there's nothing remotely groundbreaking about him as an isekai protag. I still smiled through the whole thing.
The Klein Star enemies are cute. I hope to see them in the third season trials. This also gave me a clean closeup of Topper. I guess it's not so bad to farm intimacy items from this event if the ones you're unlocking isn't scheduled for that day since it'll give a guaranteed 6 basic, 4 intermediate gift, & 3k gold for 15 energy. We'll also see part 2 in a few minutes, along with Eiden's birthday messages/gifts/letter.

I just did an auto live I already unlocked and it seems like it rewards the same score as the clear that is being played. So I assume the 'Good only' thing is only when you haven't FC'd a song but want to auto it. I'll wait for an event to test the diamond thing.

He was stuck at 50-55k for a while until his April Fools card dropped (7k) then I got one copy of his theme scout (3k) and then the Undead event just now gave 5k, plus the U.S.A. collab card where he blessed me twice with the free rolls (2k) and I also recently bought his event song 5* from the memorial shop (3k). So it's pretty much lucky timing I guess since most of that 25k was free fans. He's a good pup.

I've made it to trial 47. I mean, sure Kuya was boosted with SR Olivine's ult buff, but lookit that damage. This was also possible because I maxed out his intimacy which I'm glad I did last month. I can't believe my 3* SR Kuya with his heal blocks and dark elemental advantage was an alternate key for getting past that trial 45 aoe roadblock. He was an obvious pick in hindsight when you look at that stage. I plumb forgot about him when I was looking at which benched units I can promote and use for that particular challenging area.
My poor 2* SR Yakumo struggled to stay afloat during trial 50. If only he had one more star for extra hp. It doesn't help that the boss will use an ult on your healer at turn 4. Got it done on a battle where the rng didn't bully him too much after manipulating the protective bear's shielding on my strikers.
Kuya units are specialists. SR-N Kuya units will lessen (basic attack) or deny enemy heals (ult) so they'll be sitting ducks you can pick on.
SSR Fallen Leaves Kuya in addition to doing an aoe attack, and lessening heals is for situational use as his paralysing ult, if it lands, can give you a breathing room if enemies especially bosses aren't immune to the paralysis status.
SSR Kitsune Dream Kuya otoh, will do damage over time/bleed/turn by turn indirect damage (basic attack) and their ult will debuff the target enemy to reduce their attacking ult damage and cause the enemy to receive more damage from bleed attacks like White Day Edmond's ult.
So the elemental rock paper scissors thing is an important part to consider when looking at the challenge stages since some of them can't be finished through sheer power alone due to the turn limits. One's gold resource is also another factor. I settled on using SR Kuya because he's cheaper to upgrade than using more than 1.5mil gold on a fresh level 1 SR Garu as Kuya's gotten some use during the Zest event and the first season trials.
It depends. Music for me is nice, I really like Switch/Undead/Valkyrie songs, but the other groups are meh for me. And events are TOO much time consuming, I don't recommend doing them if you're new because its a lot of time + diamonds (I only recommend going for tour events).

2* SR Yakumo's previous heals couldn't make it in time for Dante's aoe ult so both him and Morvay got upgraded a bit. That got me into the last half of the fight. It wasn't enough. I bailed after checking out I can't defeat him in 18 turns. I guess I'll be seeing Dante in the first week of September. Maybe I'll have a better strike team by then.
I barely won this battle for a three star victory. I can't believe we'll be doing this trial again in the future.
Thanks to 4* SR Aster's huge hp pool he got promoted to the frontlines slot 1 instead of Morvay. He's got a long way to go before getting his third star upgrade. With Choco Yakumo's ult special ability, everyone's ult especially Quincy's dealt a good enough damage to Dante despite his and R Yakumo's wood disadvantage. I'm glad that I didn't give up rolling for these White Day units. Dante kept knocking out Quincy with his ult in the latter battle phase before I levelled him up further for his hp to reach nearly 9k.
For the anon that gave me the NuCarnival acc: Sorry I wasnt that active on the acc this week, I had my final exam (I'm finally free from studying) and now I can focus a lot more on it. I did all dailies and all weeklies but the one that gives the 100 stam bottle, gonna focus on the event now.
Seeing those 4* SR Asters with or without SR Morvay become instrumental in defeating this second season trials' final floor boss sure is interesting along with using an R Yakumo. Those R Yakumos are gotta be at least 3*, right? Cuz there's no way he can survive and heal with a 2*'s stats with Dante's heavy onslaught. My 3* SR Aster has a long way to go before I can upgrade him like that. I have a 2* SSR Ancient Ceremony Quincy, but his elemental weakness against fire really puts a damper on his attack and defense power. I wish I had a 4* SR Edmond or 5* R Quincy I could use as another effective water striker. Rolling for another SSR appearance or upgrade is a longshot and most of us are stuck without a new banner that has pity. I'm salty I didn't get anything good at the Banquet banner even after burning through my scroll stock. No new puppy or shady fox.

Well, your team for that stage isn't just limited to strikers, I meant any unit that can do direct basic attacks. Those attackers with ults that only have 3 cooldowns would be best choice. I restarted several times cuz I wasn't paying attention to the enemy stats on that battle scroll info thing and tried killing those birds. Kuya will heal and shield those yokai birds indefinitely so you just need to hunker down and strike when necessary.

Why not just reroll since it's the first banner in the game? It's doable easily with Bluestacks. I made a few instances to login to so I can roll for the Ritsu 5*, just logging in daily so I can have ~30 rolls on each acc after a week but the prereg rewards should be enough to reroll normally.

Nu Carnival bros, do you work on like a team for each element or are you going hard on one team that has boys of mixed elements?
I have a mixed element team of whatever units I have atm. It helps that the units I dislike stayed away from me, and I keep seeing the ones I like when I roll. Defeating enemies will be easier when they can't exploit your weakness. I've been using a 3* R Yakumo since I don't have enough fragments for my SR Yakumo. He's not that bad since he's high levelled even without SR Olivine's buff. It's SSR Quincy that's run into a problem with my Dante fight so I've been keeping my eye out whenever I do the friendship banner roll for fragments of SR Aster, SR Edmond, or R Quincy.
Playing since day one, initially I built only the ones I liked, SR Olivine, SR Quincy and SSR Blade but that only lasted till when the first Sorcerer Trials landed and I realized I had to build damage dealers preferably burst ones of every single element, SR Morvay and a second healer at least
To beat the current trials i had to build R Quincy because he's water and final boss is Fire type, finally got all the stars today

SR Edmond might be better if he's high ascension and your Blade only has one star but otherwise in the long run Blade is a much better investment, he is very strong, his buff does not run out and he isn't limited SSR so you can get his copies from any banner, mine only got benched this fight because there were too many conditions but he was in all the other 59 trials

Is it worth building SSR Yakumo or either of the SSR Garus? All three are 1*
SSR Yakumo is worth building because he's one of the few fire damage dealers in the game and he's got a decent mix of consistent and burst damage
The Garus are kinda meh, the hardest content all values quick single target burst damage too much so the whole ramping damage/debuff mechanic Banquet Garu has is not that useful for now plus he's a limited character so very hard to ascend and his full potential is tied to the limited event Kuya, if you really need a light striker then wait to get SSR/SR Blade or even R Garu
The other Garu is an aoe damage dealer which isn't really essential in the current challenges but if you really need an aoe striker you can build his lower rarity SR version, if you just need a dark striker then SR Kuya is fine too

I feel like this is a problem inherent in the mobile format. They want to throw a ton of characters at you and drip-feed the content to increase player retention so it can really take forever if you're waiting on someone specific.
There's something to be said for the old school format where you just look at the box cover, pick a guy, and run straight through his route. You don't get infinite content but you do get guaranteed content right away.
Games barely do the top off and on thing nowadays that I would settle for just that.

I think the stage is easier without a buffer. Bring four units who can use basic attacks (actual attacks) and SR Yakumo, and full gaurd through turns 4, 5, 9, and 10.
If your SR Yakumo needs more health and you're hurting for money, try to raise his intimacy instead.

I would recommend to grind a certain number of points each day so that you’re only left to use up event passes on the last day but I assume you’re too tired after work to do that each day?
i did the math so i know i should at least grind around 500K points a day and whatever I miss i can make up during my days off. since school is starting soon I should start weaning myself off from gaming tho. sadly soshage aren’t like console games, i can’t put my phone in storage like i can my tv, etc
Yeah it's easier said than done, maybe you can restrict who you grind for and keep it to your top 3 or something. Good luck with everything though and I'd definitely recommend just picking the card you want on Day 30 this time unless you really want the memorial coins.
Rinne could possibly be shuffle gacha 5* next month or so. Hiiro I could see being event, it depends if Tatsumi getting a 5* in tour disqualifies him or not.

I say this is the nicest way possible, but I really think players should give up on SSR Aster and Morvay existing. It's pretty clear that they are supporting characters and all the special SSRs/events will revolve around the main 8 characters.
I'll gladly eat my words if they're eventually released, but... yeah.
There's absolutely no reason NOT to make them SSRs eventually though. They're not minor or lesser characters. They get at least as much screen time as everyone else. Their birthdays are celebated the same as everyone else.
Even if they can't be part of the big rainbow Clan showdown at the end of the unimportant main plotline, they can put on bawdy outfits and touch weiners as well as everyone else.
That's my feeling too.
Maybe once Eiden is temporarily done collecting nakama in the various territories the story will refocus at home and we'll get them then.
Blade and Dante haven't gotten anything and neither have the vamp and incubus. Dante is stuck in limbo in terms of leveling because they won't put him in the SSR banner

I feel the same way when I saw it. This looks like they just threw in random stuff. A wispy sailor outfit and some kinda swimwear? Is Yakumo supposed to look like a wispy lionfish somewhat? I wonder about their stats and usefulness too, but I don't like looking at the designs. For the first time I'm not looking forward to rolling the event units, and just for dupes of the original SSRs.

It's just following JP, anon. Year 1 JP cards are like this, and then once you hit the Tomoya scout during Eichi's event (Primavera) it'll be readable for free. It's not until the 2nd anniversary revivals that you get to read year 1 stories completely for free on gacha rerelease too.

Aw yeah. All my exploration sites finally hit level 4. I can feel all those extra gems already. It took loads of fiddling since most of the time the requirements were three same element units I don't have at that moment.
Anyway, my music is still set to White Day's bgm since I like its cheery fastpaced tune compared to the beautiful atmospheric calm bgms of the previous events. The only thing that could surpass it is the boss music bgm003. I'm looking forward to the music they'll be using for the beach idol event. I miss the advanced leaks from before. I should have just dumped all my rolls trying to go for Kuya last banner... I was holding onto scrolls for an event Blade and now I might have to roll against 2 other characters I don't want... I'm more worried about Yakumo's hand. wtf happened to it. His lower half seems less screwed, but it's too squished? Kitsune Dream Kuya's hands also seemed to suffer from a case of yaoi hands.
It's not the pose. It's how it's drawn. His palm is too flat for that hand pose. His ulnar styloid process is low and shouldn't be that prominent unless he's suffering from a fracture or arm deformity. His fingers are too long. Just look at his awkward looking pinky. If you try his hand pose and since his hand is folding a bit, the area under his thumb should be sticking out more instead of being flat. I'll just file the weirdness as a side effect of being a snake spirit descendant. I hope I get Blade instead of Yakumo even if he's my favorite. My autism can't handle it.

I think I'll keep doing the great success spam and look for skill chibis once I'm done with it, but I dont think I'll be able to reach the SR in any event. Maybe 500k, but I don't see myself reaching 1M points. I'm at 400k right now though and started it today, I guess if I use some stones I'll be able to reach it? But it also depends on if I make my chibis better.
it’s best not to waste stones refilling MP, you can 100% clear events with dipping into gacha funds. feeding wizards in the kitchen raises their affection which unlocks rewards like stones, MP items, etc. the game regularly has rerun events. although the cap is at 3 mil you can get a copy of each event SR

Only way to get his normal SSR after chapter 10 is released would be through the clan banner or the limited time rateup Promised Day banner without pity. It really is sad.
I started Nu:Carnival almost at the end of Zest. What exactly happened to make people ragequit so fast? All I remember was how bullshit it was for new players to get into the Zest trials with the ridiculous leveling
It introduced pity and pity reset with high instances of normal SSRs (.06%) butting in instead of the event SSRs (.6%). Pretty much got people riled up with how unlucky they are at their pulls especially those who rolled 300+ times and didn't get an event unit. Imagine paying top dollar and getting fragments or the character you hate with your rolls.
The event was also exhausting:
1) raised the amount of points needed for the rewards and story unlock
2) screwed up people who didn't have or use the needed multiplier units so no intimacy room bonuses
3) drained resources so most had a halfassed team which led to
4) even if you do manage to score an event unit, you can't use them anyway because your resources are down to nothing useful
5) introduced turn limits [i mean it is good for those who wanted the extra challenge since you now can't outwait your enemies unlike in white day], but for those who used up their gold, mats, gems, and scrolls it's another slap on their faces with time ticking down
Compared to White Day's stormy start with the game not explaining things well [assault tickets do what? ffs i just used them all and now you're explaining to me how it really works? no wonder my multplier reward points don't add up] being buggy and glitch af with accounts not binding, battles being overlaid at the homescreen, super long annoying way of adding friends to your list, everyone threw themselves into getting to the end and most were satisfied with their rolls.
I'm f2p and one of those unlucky ones who didn't get anything except for fragments, and a few R/N units. I used up my resources, but I could only manage Hunt 4 with a paltry multiplier with SR Aster, SR Kuya, and SR Quincy. It sucked so I was glad I got anything at all from White Day.

I can’t believe someone calculated this was the right move to pull rake in more money even after seeing the surveys and the player exodus of a niche genre. Ah, wait Sorcerer's Trials season 1 got the turn limits going. Zest of Life was the first event that had those. Anyway, I think most of them got lured with the promises of lewd stuff happening early on, but saw those got locked behind SSRs in the main story, and SSR/SR intimacy rooms, didn't expect the difficulty of managing resources for their units, the boredom of farming mats+gifts/unlocking intimacy rooms, reused h-scene models with different text, challenging stages especially with level and turn limits on, and their banner roll results. I still am salty I got nothing from the two previous events even after saving my rolls.
There's also that thing where you can't choose which guy you can poke which makes it a sore point for other players that the game makers got a joke name NuGovernment right after it was released.

All standard SSRs have one intimacy room that uses the same assets as their respective chapter's H-scenes. There are minor differences like less clothes and different lighting. Take Fallen Leaves Kuya for example, his intimacy room 2 looks the same as his chapter 2 H-scene.
Maybe controversial, but I hope it doesn't take too long for people to leak the h-scenes for the 3 summer SSRs. More people leaving definitely shows in how slow some scenes are posted.

I just had to think hard about this... it was Eiden rubbing lotion on him and grinding fully clothed, right? And the thing is... those scenes are fine for filler, just not for rooms that require 2 stars or an intimacy key. They really aren't important enough to take up 50% of the SSR's main content (because let's not lie to ourselves, it's an h-game and we're here for the animated scenes)
All standard SSRs have one intimacy room that uses the same assets as their respective chapter's H-scenes. There are minor differences like less clothes and different lighting. Take Fallen Leaves Kuya for example, his intimacy room 2 looks the same as his chapter 2 H-scene.

I have no idea what the new h-scenes will be like because they're probably going to be at a beach, singing or something. I had half a mind to reroll accounts so that I could see the small preview pictures of the intimacy rooms for all 3 (new accounts get a guaranteed SSR at 20 rolls), but NuGovernment restricted the friends list feature until beating ch 2-10, which means you can't get the scroll bundle until then. It used to be a lot sooner/easier.

I guess talking when you face them as enemies counts as bare minimum interaction for NuGovernment. Mystic Banquet and Klein Star got better at providing more conversations between the other characters. Eiden’s just being swept away without any choice in the matter, and he’s slowly descending into a distressed helpless dude with each main story chapter. Unfortunately, I can’t comment on the intimacy rooms of the event SSR units because of my luck.
Maybe controversial, but I hope it doesn't take too long for people to leak the h-scenes for the 3 summer SSRs. More people leaving definitely shows in how slow some scenes are posted.

Seriously though, the original SSRs were false advertisement enough by reusing intimacy scenes (but AT LEAST they were all true h-scenes), but event SSRs having a 2nd room that's basically fluff was upsetting.
At least with the new event, I've saved enough keys to unlock the 2nd and 5th rooms at 1 star, but the devs could certainly animate a lewd scene just as easily as a non-lewd one. There's really no excuse other than "let's cook block our horny players so they spend more money" which is too apparent and leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

My interest for the upcoming event was dampened with the sketchy lowered rates and higher pity ceiling. If normal SSRs can appear more frequently at their stupidly low rates of .06% instead of the rightful event SSRs, I’m afraid of R/N fragments mobbing the summoning contract when you use it with the new gacha rates.
Are there any yumekuro players that want the game to be less otome/have the option to change the MC gender or even be gender ambiguous like twst? some buddies in a FF14 FC chat were talking about yumekuro wishing it weren’t an otome, but it’s nice there’s a joseimuke game that’s explicitly otome since almost every game panders to fujoshi and yumejoshi.

No. Fujos already have their own games, why can't we have our own? The game is a sequel to Yume100 so they'd be turning off most of their userbase if they have it a bl option, not to mention they'd have to rewrite everything to suite a more gender neutral MC. Don't change what ain't broke.

I heard y'all hate getting dupes of the original SSRs combo breaking your pity counter, so we'll make it better by adjusting the event SSR rates to yoctogram levels and while also giving out many fragments of the other units together. And this just the beginning of our grand plan.

after getting into mahoyaku i got interested in the main writer, tsushimi bunta. i plan on reading her doujin VN, neversista, and some of her commercial BL games like kintouka. i like idolish7, it’s the most chill boy idol media; although anything seems chill compared to utapri and enstars. i like how part 1 focused on the business side of debuting a new unit like advertising, getting booked on tv shows, etc it reminded me of the first love live season where the girls struggled to make it big.

Had to use ~15 stones but got Caim. Also I'm able to MP3 the hardest boss, which feels nice being new. Maybe I can reach 2M in the next event if I play from day one, who knows.
glad tamayura is the first event gacha banner since i was dreading having to pick between gran and shiranui. now i have more time to grind for stones for whichever of the 2 ends up on the event banner
100 rolls later on my main and I only got one idol Yakumo. 100 rolls on my alt and only saw stupid SR fragments. Suffering. Couldn't even upgrade SR Aster or Morvay to 4*. The event has too many moving parts that it's making my head spin.
I want idol Blade for his looks, and Olivine for his skills, but Yakumo followed me instead. Blade would've been interesting to use with his weird aoe taunt. It looks like idol Yakumo will do better if he's paired with SSR Dante or OG SSR Olivine which I don't have, or SR Morvay which I rarely use unless it's for some of the boss stages in the Sorcerer's Trials. I'm better off just using my 2* SR Olivine for buffs. NuGovernment, I am disappoint at the new event format and gacha system. I'm starting to move gradually into "I don't care about these guys anymore" territory.
I got 1 Yakumo in 150 rolls. I had to use 900 memory crystsls to get him to 2 stars. Ugh.

It looks like fake sale stuff kinda like irl tactics getting you to buy fake discounted items. So a normal single portrait would cost 186 gems? Wouldn't the discounted ones in mojo mart be the best deal? They also have brought back discount gifts in mojo mart after the update. Their new gacha mechanics made it more difficult to get new SSRs, so at some point, players would have storage bins overflowing with unused gifts.
I rolled 53 times and only got R/N fragments/units. I didn't even see R Yakumo or R Blade. I didn't have expectations that I'll get the event units anyway. I just want upgrades for my R Yakumo so I can better use him in the trials, and R Blade for the exploration passive, but I guess even that's too much of a wish to fulfill for RNGesus.
Yah. That's the only bright side of this. He's finally a 3* unit. I'll just wait until there's only a week left to try final floor again while I force everyone to farm gold until I have enough --- oh who am I kidding, there's never enough gold to raise a proper battle ready unit. If only you can reset a character so they'll cough up the goods you spent on them and transfer the upgrades to another unit.

Oh man, I totally misinterpreted the message on the Excavation screen, thinking I had to pay 50 spirit gems to send my units out at all, not to fasttrack the process. I've basically wasted a whole day now where I could have been earning event currency... NGMI ;_;
You mainly have 4 parts to the event:
1. Event story is a map you explore to get some rewards and story. Requires Excavation Resources to progress.
2. Excavation. It's just Exploration. You can queue 8 of them. Gives you resources to progress in Event story and Boost characters on the main event page.
3. Boost characters. Gives you buffs in certain event stages and unlocks Training stages.
4. Training. These are the stages to grind to unlock rewards in the claim menu. Requires boosting characters.
I tried my best to explain but the event has a lot of parts to it compared to past events.
Forgot to add this, but apparently the 25 energy training stages are more efficient. Might change when we get Eiden's stages which I assume give all of the resources needed for the claim menu.
No even the girl's outfits are weird. I don't know, but there's no cohesion? Even the e-girl Archon just looks out of place. Did I get Sumeru wrong as a setting or what? Maybe it was Cyno that gave me a different impression.
Maybe they don't have a good enough grasp on Middle Eastern + South Asian clothes? They're mashing those two together this time around. Germanic/Chinese/Japanese clothes are a lot more prominent in media (and also Mihoyo is Chinese) so they could probably handle those regions decently enough.
doesn't really help that all the guys are under like fifty layers while the girls look like they mostly forgot to get fully dressed. But yea the new designs are really doing nothing for me and the archon is....ugh

Mathematically speaking, the expected value suggests you would get an average of 2 5*s, and more if you're lucky. How often do you get 2 5*s in 20 rolls at 3%? Or at 6% / 9% from the scamchas last year? If you just want 5*s without specifically caring who and have the dia, maybe consider it. I'm probably doing both.

How shit is the love nikki/miracle nikki story translation in japanese? In english the translation is shit but the story/character/costume design intrigues me, and I'm wondering if I should do over and do japanese miracle nikki, thing is I've spent a couple hundred on love nikki english(years ago to be fair) and am curious about how botched the japanese version might be
Thanks for the advice, anon. I finished the final boss because of R Quincy on my team. He's 3* at level 57, max intimacy, potential 6 (the passive and 1 hp node unopened). R Yakumo had no problem keeping up with his heals despite Dante bullying him. SSR Quincy could only attack at half strength, but at least his ult and presence made R Quincy's ult devastating as Dante's shield took 23.9k damage.
The season 2 final boss has a simpler battle phase compared to season 1's, but a high powered team with at least one or two water units is required to counter his fire element because of the turn limits. I'm not looking forward to how tough and expensive season 3 will turn out.
Now start thinking about building a second team, NuGovernment's previous game Tenkafuma, that's extremely similar to this one, has trials where you have to use two separate teams, you'll need another buffer/healer/guardian etc

Maybe they put that in because it's harder to get SSRs this time around, while you can wait for the fragments of a 4* SR. Raw crystals otoh are finite items from intimacy rooms, but they're still valuable for their potential unlocking properties.
I love it when Blade says "Little Aster", "Little Yakumo", etc. Because of his unique brand of weirdness, instead of sounding awkward, he just sounds cute. I like it even more than I would like "Aster-chan", "Yakumo-chan".
wtf It looks like the June 30 update forgot to mention that the other clan members' (Kuya, Garu, Blade & Dante) gifts can now be acquired through exploration. My level 4 exploration teams just got back today, and I saw Dante's gifts in the water + dark territory.

Yeah, but Zest had multipliers. This one doesn’t and has an exchange shop on top of it. I’m just frustrated from the direction they went with this event and the gacha stuff. Your energies are also being used up from doing the other battles in the event tile board instead of pouring it all on the points/item farming.
I didn't even realize that Fan Boards were farmable until this moment. I spent all my expiring pots on gift farming yesterday.

I'm glad we can get two wallpapers from this new event. I like the beach background with its sparkling waters whenever one does a training battle. I also like the new enemy designs.
It's interesting to see that Yakumo's home was a bit far from the Light Territory. Aster's mansion seems to have occupied a large plot of land with its maze garden. Topper's placed at the Wood Territory vaguely marking where he lives with Quincy, but the tanuki(from the Mystic Banquet?) is somewhere on an unhighlighted map area.

Also, check my math, but spending gems for the reward exchange, if you are only focusing on contracts, is a total bust.
4 "training" items per round
60 "training" items needed per contract reward ÷ 4 "training" items per run = 15 runs needed
15 runs x 25 energy = 375 energy needed
375 energy ÷ 120 energy you get from gem recharge = 3.125 recharges needed
3.125 recharges x 200 gems = 625 gems
625 > 600 gems per summon
It -might- be worth it if you're also counting contract/gems rewards for idol fan boards, but they are so far and few in-between.
As long as the 20 scrolls is all you're buying I don't see why you'd even spend gems since there's still 25 days worth of free energy to put towards it. You'd have to burn gems if you want any rewards on top of that though

Unless my memory is failing me and we have seen these before, there are some new items in the nucarnival data. Top two are obviously intimacy items, but what's interesting about them is that in the game files they aren't grouped with the other event exclusive intimacy items. And there is text data that implies the use of an item to redeem the step-up banner SSRs, so I thought the bottom two could be that (they are also next to the contracts in the files), but then why two different versions?

Yeah. Those items can appear on the daily bazaar/mystery shop. Elite tags for SR, and Leader tags for SSR which is super rare. They'd need 9hours at least for a guaranteed 3* on the leader tag, while elite tag will give a guaranteed 2*.
In the end, it's all in the hands of RNGesus and the desire sensor.
It sounds like it's not going to punish you either if you don't want to pvp too much or fight against a ton of other players which is nice. so far, it seems like it could be a fun addition

I thought I finally assembled the right dream team for my alt to take down Dante when I got fragments for SR Aster and SR Edmond, before he smacked us down after my team failed the initial wall breach. I had to buy up the last few shards for Aster's 4* upgrade and get him to level 59 before I hit the right amount of damage. I also found it a bit difficult to keep Morvay alive with 2* SR Yakumo's weak healing, but it was all in the right timing for both his and Morvay's ults.
So uh tl;dr ver: I guess it would've been a better choice to let my 3* SR Edmond reach max intimacy instead of 4 or maybe just use a 3* R Quincy for higher damage on the wall defense with this team comp if one doesn't have a 4* SR Aster.
ye. for me the secret was ditching Morvay, upping Aster's health through potential to get him to tank and investing in another (water striker).
i did it with 3* Aster (lvl 60, P7, I5), 2* SSR OG Yakumo (lvl 60, P7, I4), 3* SR Edmond (lvl 60, P6, I3), 3* SR Quincy (lvl 60, P6, I5), 2* OG SSR Olivine (lvl 56, P7, I4)

Ooh nice team. I was hoping I could roll dupes for SSR Edmond in this event earlier so I can get him to 3*, but since NuGovernment changed the banner rules I wasn’t able to go with my plan A. I didn’t have enough gold to use for another striker so it was either R Quincy or SR Edmond, but I guess it worked out the end even if I chose poorly. If every new clan member becomes the final floor boss, won’t this mean we’ll get a new chapter first? That would explain the length of every Sorcerer’s Trials.

The new Business Time Master V uses 50 energy and 1 trade permit with 91+k battle power for 100k gold. It took me 13 turns using my season 1 trials team to finish. The stronger enemies' attacks with the hound and bull might be troublesome for those with low hp units or with a weak healer. I defeated them in this order: fairy > monkey > bull > hound > golem
Up next, the season 2 trials boasts 160 floors. I just passed the 5th floor boss Olivine and the winning strategies are still the same.

The goal this time would be 150 stars for the 22 summoning scrolls. If one could beat all the floors at 1-2* stars, that's a guaranteed 3600 gems for 600 energy. I bet the 60th floor boss would need a ridiculous expensive requirement to defeat it judging from how much resources you had to spend preparing your units during first season's 50th boss.

Man I couldn't even finish the season 1's trials (I think I made it to 40something, the 5 scrolls reward), I doubt I can go past 100 on these.
Also my problem in the first season was simply that my teams were somewhat underleveled by the end (I don't even have all my SSRs up to 50 let alone 60, and my SRs are 45 or below), but if S2 has 100+ trials, that means you can't rely on levels or rarity alone, you need at lot of 3-5 stars SSRs with maxed intimacy AND probably 10 potential or above. In short I think you're forced to whale this time.

I started the trials today and I noticed the boss floors give out 120+ gems so maybe it's more than 4000 gems for the whole 60 floors? How generous since they added exp too.
I'm still holding on to my dewlets and refusing to buy other stuff unless they're gems. If only the guild shop also sells energy potions.

I think Nu shotas that don't have H scenes with adult Eiden would probably be overall well received. It's hard to say. Ever since WD and ZL were leaked they have avoided adding banner images till the day of the event, so there not being any images is not confirmation that there isn't a new banner. However, for Yokai Banquet they did pre-load Garu and Kuya's skills and intimacy rooms. I'm not seeing that this time around, so this can either mean there is no banner attached to it or the devs are catching on once again and won't add them till the day of. I guess you can always wait a couple of days and see if the reveal any silhouettes.
One thing of note is that they did add portraits of Eiden (kid and adult) that indicate that he might be playable, but unlike the other characters he does not have a damaged portrait. So, either it's a placeholder, or he's just going to be a special character for this event.

How's the fight? I'm excited to tackle the new bosses, but I'm taking it slow at the lower floors and farming gifts for opening all of my usable units' intimacy rooms.
Not that hard as i was expecting, surprisingly. Olivine is immune to damage whole fight and you have to defeat his minions to battle departure him. My order was knight-gigolo-thief-bandit. You don't have to bring in healers because boss Olivine keeps healing you, so i went ham with support+strikers, i would recommend leveling them to lvl 50-55.

Well most of the time, if you have big numbers, you can brute force through content. The only thing that blocked me is the AOE Garu trial and the shit with the five healing koalas.
It's kind of the opposite experience for me, I could strategize my way out of most trials, but I got filtered by the ones you can't really beat without some decent "brute force" (HP especially)

How much damage does your SSR Quincy receive from King Dante? I have Quincy as my main attacker too. The elemental weakness worries me because I don't have any other backup striker I can use other than Homecoming Yakumo and SR Aster. I'm also waiting for the last 10 SR Morvay fragments to drop from the friendship banner so I can upgrade him to 3* to boost his hp/attack. I have a lot more rooms ahead of me before I can reach the top.

I'm not keen on using my scrolls so I'll focus on raising enough gold for everyone's upgrades since the ticketed gold farming stage was raised to 100k per battle which means 3mil gold per month, or just 2.1mil this June.
Blade's boss battle conditions were more forgiving since one unit can freely die while the rest finishes the battle while Dante's relies on pure strength. tfw Dante's battle conditions make sense because his character is a harsh taskmaster.

Perhaps having a healer is worth rerolling for? Or just go for multiple SSRs. For now, you can't really get Dante since his introduction banner ended and he won't be added to standard banners until chapter 10 is released (we don't know how long that could take). However, the next event SSRs will likely be Blade/Dante so you could start now and save your rolls for that, or just wait until the event is active to reroll. Personally, I think the amount of rolls you get from logins/dailies/events is pretty good as long as you're not trying to pull every single event SSR. The pity system could be better, though. There's no guarantee you will get an event SSR instead of a standard, and it may not even be the event SSR you want.
So basically trying to get Morvay or Aster SR + any SSR should be good? And then save all my rolls I can for the next event.
As of now upgrading Morvay and Aster is always a good idea with former being one of best (if not the best) units in the game and latter having good synergy at 3* (Morvay gets 10% more hp and Aster gets 10% more attack if they're on same team). SR Yakumo is a very good healer, often being way more reliable than SSR Olivine
I find SR Yakumo frustrating to use for a number of reasons. He has relatively low HP, he has nothing to do while everyone is healthy (olivine is always stacking the regen boosts from turn 1), and if he needs to guard when others need healing, well, you're screwed. For example, if you have to heal your characters because next turn some big super moves are getting unleashed, it means he won't guard and might get taken out. It's less of a problem for olivine because a) he can skip a turn and your party still gets healed b) he's way beefier so he can generally tank a super without guarding.
but for those reasons Yakumo is also very good for scripted battles (switching between guarding and healing at opportune times) and more importantly, he's also the only other decent healer I have and he can be paired with Olivine for those battles when constant healing is very important (mushrooms, jellyfish etc)
And I agree, Morvay is vital and Aster is a very nice SR either way.

Alright, I'm done. Aster's quite a striker at 4*. He saved my ass in this fight with my 3* Morvay. I used my stocked advanced enhance mats unlocking all possible attack nodes at potential 6 for all except for SR Yakumo just to deal that finishing blow by turn 18.
I don't want to imagine how nightmarish the season 3 trials will be.

Well, my 1* SSR Knight Edmond is at level 58, intimacy 4, potential 6 with all attack nodes and +atk dmg% passive open so he can deal 3.6k per basic attack and 5.5k after he uses his ult. There's still plenty of time left to improve everyone's stats, and hopefully roll for their SSR dupes.
To those wondering, this is my team. I had to battle Dante twice so I could complete all 180 stars. First time I fought him, everyone was at level 57 potential 6, intimacy 5/4 and I only got 2 stars because I defeated him at turn 20. I'm f2p so I farmed gold, using them for my strikers upgrades before I battled Dante again for the last star. Thankfully, I succeeded in defeating him at turn 18 so I didn't need any further leveling for my team.
This was the same team I used against first season Blade except they were about four levels weaker and I had a 3* SR Olivine instead of SSR Knight Edmond. I was bummed about the no support unit thing when I first read the win conditions, but you midas well overcome adversity through the pure gold ausomeness.

Understandable. At end of chapter 9, Eiden's stabilized four out of five altars. Only the dark altar is left, but the fire altar's been held together with essence glue after it got shattered so it may probably act up again.
He's already accomplished this much, but he's still being tossed around like a ragdoll in a hurricane in the main chapters while there's evidence in the SR/R stories he's received some minor training in combat, academics, survival skills, and healing info from his clan members.
They're still keeping the key stuff vague like Huey, the King of Klein Kingdom, Leader of the Sorcerer's Association(I mean, a bunch of top secret 007 sorcerer spies probably has a head honcho calling the shots amirite?), nameless country that manufactured/sent Blade, wandering Yokai King, Leader(?) of the Elemental Spirits, Main Spiritual Leader of the Klein Religion, Head Captain of the Klein Kingdom, etc.
I say, NuGovernment probably unbalanced it by coming too strong too fast on the White Day event. Everyone who participated in it got swole even though they fricked up explaining some vital mechanics behind it like the skip ticket team usage multiplier, and the farming stage item round down. Season One Sorcerer's Trials didn't give exp to prevent it from happening again, and they sort adjusted the difficulty in the Zest for Life event, but they still screwed it up with the amount of zest given in the most difficult stages, and the number of people unhappy were yay high with the dupe original SSRs they rolled instead of the event SSRs. Man, I got my guys to the final boss, but it was an annoying fight as I didn't have any other decent units or resources to deal with a tricky fire based enemy.
I was 11.2k damage short of ending it in the 18th turn and I was left with a 179 star count when I defeated the boss on turn 19. I definitely need one or two of my guys ascended to the next level for the completion of the trials.

Looks like the maximum guild level is 10 based NuGovernment's guild notice update last May which means there will only be a maximum 40 member count. Our level's halfway there, but it's a shame we still have a few member vacancies.
I know it wasn't really going to happen but I'm still a tiny bit disappointed that they didn't try to make an Eiden card for his birthday. I know he's not really supposed to be a fighter yet but even just as a support unit or something...

The best rewards are always roll currency, and there's nothing to roll for. Upgrade mats don't matter if you don't have new units to use them on too. I have no intention of quitting Nu yet, but it feels wrong that we're having a bannerless event this early when there's so little other content to occupy players.

I already figured Kuya's tough love approach from his intimacy rooms, but his scenes here lay it wide open. I wonder how they'll do part 2 for the bgm? Using 3k energy just to get the wallpaper seems kinda hard.

I've made it to trial 47. I mean, sure Kuya was boosted with SR Olivine's ult buff, but lookit that damage. This was also possible because I maxed out his intimacy which I'm glad I did last month. I can't believe my 3* SR Kuya with his heal blocks and dark elemental advantage was an alternate key for getting past that trial 45 aoe roadblock. He was an obvious pick in hindsight when you look at that stage. I plumb forgot about him when I was looking at which benched units I can promote and use for that particular challenging area.

My poor 2* SR Yakumo struggled to stay afloat during trial 50. If only he had one more star for extra hp. It doesn't help that the boss will use an ult on your healer at turn 4. Got it done on a battle where the rng didn't bully him too much after manipulating the protective bear's shielding on my strikers.
Kuya units are specialists. SR-N Kuya units will lessen (basic attack) or deny enemy heals (ult) so they'll be sitting ducks you can pick on.
SSR Fallen Leaves Kuya in addition to doing an aoe attack, and lessening heals is for situational use as his paralysing ult, if it lands, can give you a breathing room if enemies especially bosses aren't immune to the paralysis status.
SSR Kitsune Dream Kuya otoh, will do damage over time/bleed/turn by turn indirect damage (basic attack) and their ult will debuff the target enemy to reduce their attacking ult damage and cause the enemy to receive more damage from bleed attacks like White Day Edmond's ult.
So the elemental rock paper scissors thing is an important part to consider when looking at the challenge stages since some of them can't be finished through sheer power alone due to the turn limits. One's gold resource is also another factor. I settled on using SR Kuya because he's cheaper to upgrade than using more than 1.5mil gold on a fresh level 1 SR Garu as Kuya's gotten some use during the Zest event and the first season trials.
The only good thing about this event in Nu:Carnival is the amount of dias. Back to farming fans and level in Engstars...

It depends. Music for me is nice, I really like Switch/Undead/Valkyrie songs, but the other groups are meh for me. And events are TOO much time consuming, I don't recommend doing them if you're new because its a lot of time + diamonds (I only recommend going for tour events).

2* SR Yakumo's previous heals couldn't make it in time for Dante's aoe ult so both him and Morvay got upgraded a bit. That got me into the last half of the fight. It wasn't enough. I bailed after checking out I can't defeat him in 18 turns. I guess I'll be seeing Dante in the first week of September. Maybe I'll have a better strike team by then.
I barely won this battle for a three star victory. I can't believe we'll be doing this trial again in the future.
Thanks to 4* SR Aster's huge hp pool he got promoted to the frontlines slot 1 instead of Morvay. He's got a long way to go before getting his third star upgrade. With Choco Yakumo's ult special ability, everyone's ult especially Quincy's dealt a good enough damage to Dante despite his and R Yakumo's wood disadvantage. I'm glad that I didn't give up rolling for these White Day units. Dante kept knocking out Quincy with his ult in the latter battle phase before I levelled him up further for his hp to reach nearly 9k.

Seeing those 4* SR Asters with or without SR Morvay become instrumental in defeating this second season trials' final floor boss sure is interesting along with using an R Yakumo. Those R Yakumos are gotta be at least 3*, right? Cuz there's no way he can survive and heal with a 2*'s stats with Dante's heavy onslaught. My 3* SR Aster has a long way to go before I can upgrade him like that. I have a 2* SSR Ancient Ceremony Quincy, but his elemental weakness against fire really puts a damper on his attack and defense power. I wish I had a 4* SR Edmond or 5* R Quincy I could use as another effective water striker. Rolling for another SSR appearance or upgrade is a longshot and most of us are stuck without a new banner that has pity. I'm salty I didn't get anything good at the Banquet banner even after burning through my scroll stock. No new puppy or shady fox.

Based on absolutely nothing, I would guess we'll get another event first, but I'm not sure what kind. There's no real holiday or anything in late summer (that I can easily think of anyway) but they could do a beach SoL or even a hot spring thing like anon mentioned upthread. It's like a trial run of floor 60. Bring a healer + 4 strikers. Best if your healer can mitigate the damage asap and your strikers have high hp cuz those enemies attack eats a chunk of hp. Garu needs 5 stacks of completed applause, so he mustn't be paralysed or else you'll take longer to finish it. If you play your turns right, you'll finish it by turn 11 or so. Just defend, and heal when needed. Prevent the gatecrashing bird when they have a golden power up with 4 basic attacks. Save and only use your 2 ults on the looting bird when they also try to show-off. Put the longest cooldown ult striker on slot 4 since Kuya will silence them often.

Well, your team for that stage isn't just limited to strikers, I meant any unit that can do direct basic attacks. Those attackers with ults that only have 3 cooldowns would be best choice. I restarted several times cuz I wasn't paying attention to the enemy stats on that battle scroll info thing and tried killing those birds. Kuya will heal and shield those yokai birds indefinitely so you just need to hunker down and strike when necessary.

Why not just reroll since it's the first banner in the game? It's doable easily with Bluestacks. I made a few instances to login to so I can roll for the Ritsu 5*, just logging in daily so I can have ~30 rolls on each acc after a week but the prereg rewards should be enough to reroll normally.

I have a mixed element team of whatever units I have atm. It helps that the units I dislike stayed away from me, and I keep seeing the ones I like when I roll. Defeating enemies will be easier when they can't exploit your weakness. I've been using a 3* R Yakumo since I don't have enough fragments for my SR Yakumo. He's not that bad since he's high levelled even without SR Olivine's buff. It's SSR Quincy that's run into a problem with my Dante fight so I've been keeping my eye out whenever I do the friendship banner roll for fragments of SR Aster, SR Edmond, or R Quincy.

SSR Yakumo is worth building because he's one of the few fire damage dealers in the game and he's got a decent mix of consistent and burst damage
The Garus are kinda meh, the hardest content all values quick single target burst damage too much so the whole ramping damage/debuff mechanic Banquet Garu has is not that useful for now plus he's a limited character so very hard to ascend and his full potential is tied to the limited event Kuya, if you really need a light striker then wait to get SSR/SR Blade or even R Garu
The other Garu is an aoe damage dealer which isn't really essential in the current challenges but if you really need an aoe striker you can build his lower rarity SR version, if you just need a dark striker then SR Kuya is fine too
Forgot to add, at the point where my R was and together with the passive extra skill damage for having another quincy on the team he can almost singlehandedly destroy the shield because his skill does 32k damage
SR Edmond might be better if he's high ascension and your Blade only has one star but otherwise in the long run Blade is a much better investment, he is very strong, his buff does not run out and he isn't limited SSR so you can get his copies from any banner, mine only got benched this fight because there were too many conditions but he was in all the other 59 trials

Playing since day one, initially I built only the ones I liked, SR Olivine, SR Quincy and SSR Blade but that only lasted till when the first Sorcerer Trials landed and I realized I had to build damage dealers preferably burst ones of every single element, SR Morvay and a second healer at least
To beat the current trials i had to build R Quincy because he's water and final boss is Fire type, finally got all the stars today

I feel like this is a problem inherent in the mobile format. They want to throw a ton of characters at you and drip-feed the content to increase player retention so it can really take forever if you're waiting on someone specific.
There's something to be said for the old school format where you just look at the box cover, pick a guy, and run straight through his route. You don't get infinite content but you do get guaranteed content right away.
Games barely do the top off and on thing nowadays that I would settle for just that.

I think the stage is easier without a buffer. Bring four units who can use basic attacks (actual attacks) and SR Yakumo, and full gaurd through turns 4, 5, 9, and 10.
If your SR Yakumo needs more health and you're hurting for money, try to raise his intimacy instead.

I say this is the nicest way possible, but I really think players should give up on SSR Aster and Morvay existing. It's pretty clear that they are supporting characters and all the special SSRs/events will revolve around the main 8 characters.

There's absolutely no reason NOT to make them SSRs eventually though. They're not minor or lesser characters. They get at least as much screen time as everyone else. Their birthdays are celebated the same as everyone else.
Even if they can't be part of the big rainbow Clan showdown at the end of the unimportant main plotline, they can put on bawdy outfits and touch weiners as well as everyone else.

Maybe once Eiden is temporarily done collecting nakama in the various territories the story will refocus at home and we'll get them then.

It's not the pose. It's how it's drawn. His palm is too flat for that hand pose. His ulnar styloid process is low and shouldn't be that prominent unless he's suffering from a fracture or arm deformity. His fingers are too long. Just look at his awkward looking pinky. If you try his hand pose and since his hand is folding a bit, the area under his thumb should be sticking out more instead of being flat. I'll just file the weirdness as a side effect of being a snake spirit descendant. I hope I get Blade instead of Yakumo even if he's my favorite. My autism can't handle it.

999 chibis are for min-maxing. once i got enough magic biscuits from bingo/pieces events i trained in bennet bar for the guaranteed high stats characters to buff up my team. characters skills matter more than stats
Ooh, got it anon. Still I was able to do a 5x S chibi, so with a bit of practice + rng + leveling more my SR great success cards I should be able to do it in the future. I think I'll keep doing the great success spam and look for skill chibis once I'm done with it, but I dont think I'll be able to reach the SR in any event. Maybe 500k, but I don't see myself reaching 1M points. I'm at 400k right now though and started it today, I guess if I use some stones I'll be able to reach it? But it also depends on if I make my chibis better.
it’s best not to waste stones refilling MP, you can 100% clear events with dipping into gacha funds. feeding wizards in the kitchen raises their affection which unlocks rewards like stones, MP items, etc. the game regularly has rerun events. although the cap is at 3 mil you can get a copy of each event SR

"Within" every 150 rolls would mean pity doesn't reset for normal SSR pulls. It truly means you are guaranteed an event SSR with every 150 rolls.
If the Chinese is correct (and pity resets), NuGovernment is false advertising to all English speakers.
Also it seems mega-dumb that they'd increase pity by 50 rolls, and have pity reset like that. It would start to make getting an event SSR almost...impossible, or at least extremely unlikely.
The game will be dead within a year, honestly. People have already pointed out that these changes will will make dolphins leave because light spending is pointless and doesn't change the game. In order to even vaguely get what you want, you have to whale, which is very off-putting. This is on-top of event SSRs already having less than desirable 2nd intimacy rooms (the 5th room is the only true h-scene).

Only way to get his normal SSR after chapter 10 is released would be through the clan banner or the limited time rateup Promised Day banner without pity. It really is sad.
It introduced pity and pity reset with high instances of normal SSRs (.06%) butting in instead of the event SSRs (.6%). Pretty much got people riled up with how unlucky they are at their pulls especially those who rolled 300+ times and didn't get an event unit. Imagine paying top dollar and getting fragments or the character you hate with your rolls.
The event was also exhausting:
1) raised the amount of points needed for the rewards and story unlock
2) screwed up people who didn't have or use the needed multiplier units so no intimacy room bonuses
3) drained resources so most had a halfassed team which led to
4) even if you do manage to score an event unit, you can't use them anyway because your resources are down to nothing useful
5) introduced turn limits [i mean it is good for those who wanted the extra challenge since you now can't outwait your enemies unlike in white day], but for those who used up their gold, mats, gems, and scrolls it's another slap on their faces with time ticking down
Compared to White Day's stormy start with the game not explaining things well [assault tickets do what? ffs i just used them all and now you're explaining to me how it really works? no wonder my multplier reward points don't add up] being buggy and glitch af with accounts not binding, battles being overlaid at the homescreen, super long annoying way of adding friends to your list, everyone threw themselves into getting to the end and most were satisfied with their rolls.
I'm f2p and one of those unlucky ones who didn't get anything except for fragments, and a few R/N units. I used up my resources, but I could only manage Hunt 4 with a paltry multiplier with SR Aster, SR Kuya, and SR Quincy. It sucked so I was glad I got anything at all from White Day.
I finally got a nice stock of scrolls for future rolls and this happens? Is NuGovernment being secretly controlled by Aster somehow?

Idk anon I think the market is just too small, as much as I wish it wasn't. Even the most degenerate of fujos don't obsess over shotas the way the average male otaku obsess over e-girls which is why I think games like BA can release but no shota equivalent. I started Nu:Carnival almost at the end of Zest. What exactly happened to make people ragequit so fast? All I remember was how bullshit it was for new players to get into the Zest trials with the ridiculous leveling
Ah, wait Sorcerer's Trials season 1 got the turn limits going. Zest of Life was the first event that had those. Anyway, I think most of them got lured with the promises of lewd stuff happening early on, but saw those got locked behind SSRs in the main story, and SSR/SR intimacy rooms, didn't expect the difficulty of managing resources for their units, the boredom of farming mats+gifts/unlocking intimacy rooms, reused h-scene models with different text, challenging stages especially with level and turn limits on, and their banner roll results. I still am salty I got nothing from the two previous events even after saving my rolls.
There's also that thing where you can't choose which guy you can poke which makes it a sore point for other players that the game makers got a joke name NuGovernment right after it was released.

Maybe controversial, but I hope it doesn't take too long for people to leak the h-scenes for the 3 summer SSRs. More people leaving definitely shows in how slow some scenes are posted.

Seriously though, the original SSRs were false advertisement enough by reusing intimacy scenes (but AT LEAST they were all true h-scenes), but event SSRs having a 2nd room that's basically fluff was upsetting.
At least with the new event, I've saved enough keys to unlock the 2nd and 5th rooms at 1 star, but the devs could certainly animate a lewd scene just as easily as a non-lewd one. There's really no excuse other than "let's cook block our horny players so they spend more money" which is too apparent and leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
I wish they'd add some kind of guarantee for at least SR fragments. Getting only N and R fragments feels sucky. At least guarantee us some kind of SR every 30 rolls or something.

All standard SSRs have one intimacy room that uses the same assets as their respective chapter's H-scenes. There are minor differences like less clothes and different lighting. Take Fallen Leaves Kuya for example, his intimacy room 2 looks the same as his chapter 2 H-scene.

y'know, reading this, I just realized that I can't even remember what Dante's room 2 scene was even though I just read it not so long ago. I mean, I know that they want the "big reward" intimacy scene to be the last one, but it does kinda suck that room 2 is (generally) so underwhelming considering it still costs a key or extra copies to open
I just had to think hard about this... it was Eiden rubbing lotion on him and grinding fully clothed, right? And the thing is... those scenes are fine for filler, just not for rooms that require 2 stars or an intimacy key. They really aren't important enough to take up 50% of the SSR's main content (because let's not lie to ourselves, it's an h-game and we're here for the animated scenes)

I have no idea what the new h-scenes will be like because they're probably going to be at a beach, singing or something. I had half a mind to reroll accounts so that I could see the small preview pictures of the intimacy rooms for all 3 (new accounts get a guaranteed SSR at 20 rolls), but NuGovernment restricted the friends list feature until beating ch 2-10, which means you can't get the scroll bundle until then. It used to be a lot sooner/easier.

I guess talking when you face them as enemies counts as bare minimum interaction for NuGovernment. Mystic Banquet and Klein Star got better at providing more conversations between the other characters. Eiden’s just being swept away without any choice in the matter, and he’s slowly descending into a distressed helpless dude with each main story chapter. Unfortunately, I can’t comment on the intimacy rooms of the event SSR units because of my luck.
My interest for the upcoming event was dampened with the sketchy lowered rates and higher pity ceiling. If normal SSRs can appear more frequently at their stupidly low rates of .06% instead of the rightful event SSRs, I’m afraid of R/N fragments mobbing the summoning contract when you use it with the new gacha rates.

Had to use ~15 stones but got Caim. Also I'm able to MP3 the hardest boss, which feels nice being new. Maybe I can reach 2M in the next event if I play from day one, who knows.
glad tamayura is the first event gacha banner since i was dreading having to pick between gran and shiranui. now i have more time to grind for stones for whichever of the 2 ends up on the event banner
Shiranui is free while Gran on part 2 gacha. I guess Itsuki and Noah are probably gacha on later events as well.

100 rolls later on my main and I only got one idol Yakumo. 100 rolls on my alt and only saw stupid SR fragments. Suffering. Couldn't even upgrade SR Aster or Morvay to 4*. The event has too many moving parts that it's making my head spin.
I did about 250 contracts and got Blade x2 and Olivine x2. I was hoping for all three, but this isn't the worst outcome.
Got all three using 190 rolls.
But now I dont have enough crystal to stamina refill if needed to clear out the shop.
I want idol Blade for his looks, and Olivine for his skills, but Yakumo followed me instead. Blade would've been interesting to use with his weird aoe taunt. It looks like idol Yakumo will do better if he's paired with SSR Dante or OG SSR Olivine which I don't have, or SR Morvay which I rarely use unless it's for some of the boss stages in the Sorcerer's Trials. I'm better off just using my 2* SR Olivine for buffs. NuGovernment, I am disappoint at the new event format and gacha system. I'm starting to move gradually into "I don't care about these guys anymore" territory.

It looks like fake sale stuff kinda like irl tactics getting you to buy fake discounted items. So a normal single portrait would cost 186 gems? Wouldn't the discounted ones in mojo mart be the best deal? They also have brought back discount gifts in mojo mart after the update. Their new gacha mechanics made it more difficult to get new SSRs, so at some point, players would have storage bins overflowing with unused gifts.

I rolled 53 times and only got R/N fragments/units. I didn't even see R Yakumo or R Blade. I didn't have expectations that I'll get the event units anyway. I just want upgrades for my R Yakumo so I can better use him in the trials, and R Blade for the exploration passive, but I guess even that's too much of a wish to fulfill for RNGesus.

Yah. That's the only bright side of this. He's finally a 3* unit. I'll just wait until there's only a week left to try final floor again while I force everyone to farm gold until I have enough --- oh who am I kidding, there's never enough gold to raise a proper battle ready unit. If only you can reset a character so they'll cough up the goods you spent on them and transfer the upgrades to another unit.

I'm too smooth brain for this event, could someone simplify it for me?
You mainly have 4 parts to the event:
1. Event story is a map you explore to get some rewards and story. Requires Excavation Resources to progress.
2. Excavation. It's just Exploration. You can queue 8 of them. Gives you resources to progress in Event story and Boost characters on the main event page.
3. Boost characters. Gives you buffs in certain event stages and unlocks Training stages.
4. Training. These are the stages to grind to unlock rewards in the claim menu. Requires boosting characters.
I tried my best to explain but the event has a lot of parts to it compared to past events.
Forgot to add this, but apparently the 25 energy training stages are more efficient. Might change when we get Eiden's stages which I assume give all of the resources needed for the claim menu.

Mathematically speaking, the expected value suggests you would get an average of 2 5*s, and more if you're lucky. How often do you get 2 5*s in 20 rolls at 3%? Or at 6% / 9% from the scamchas last year? If you just want 5*s without specifically caring who and have the dia, maybe consider it. I'm probably doing both.

Thanks for the advice, anon. I finished the final boss because of R Quincy on my team. He's 3* at level 57, max intimacy, potential 6 (the passive and 1 hp node unopened). R Yakumo had no problem keeping up with his heals despite Dante bullying him. SSR Quincy could only attack at half strength, but at least his ult and presence made R Quincy's ult devastating as Dante's shield took 23.9k damage.
The season 2 final boss has a simpler battle phase compared to season 1's, but a high powered team with at least one or two water units is required to counter his fire element because of the turn limits. I'm not looking forward to how tough and expensive season 3 will turn out.

Now start thinking about building a second team, NuGovernment's previous game Tenkafuma, that's extremely similar to this one, has trials where you have to use two separate teams, you'll need another buffer/healer/guardian etc

It's interesting to see that Yakumo's home was a bit far from the Light Territory. Aster's mansion seems to have occupied a large plot of land with its maze garden. Topper's placed at the Wood Territory vaguely marking where he lives with Quincy, but the tanuki(from the Mystic Banquet?) is somewhere on an unhighlighted map area.

Also, check my math, but spending gems for the reward exchange, if you are only focusing on contracts, is a total bust.

15 runs x 25 energy = 375 energy needed
375 energy ÷ 120 energy you get from gem recharge = 3.125 recharges needed
3.125 recharges x 200 gems = 625 gems
625 > 600 gems per summon
It -might- be worth it if you're also counting contract/gems rewards for idol fan boards, but they are so far and few in-between.
As long as the 20 scrolls is all you're buying I don't see why you'd even spend gems since there's still 25 days worth of free energy to put towards it. You'd have to burn gems if you want any rewards on top of that though

I just need a few more fragments and I can finally get my first 5* unit. I'm glad it's R Yakumo. I won't have to worry about my heals anymore even without a buffer. The only terrible thing about this is the high ascension cost which means I'll have spent a total of 400k for a 5* unit's ascension.

Unless my memory is failing me and we have seen these before, there are some new items in the nucarnival data. Top two are obviously intimacy items, but what's interesting about them is that in the game files they aren't grouped with the other event exclusive intimacy items. And there is text data that implies the use of an item to redeem the step-up banner SSRs, so I thought the bottom two could be that (they are also next to the contracts in the files), but then why two different versions?

Yeah. Those items can appear on the daily bazaar/mystery shop. Elite tags for SR, and Leader tags for SSR which is super rare. They'd need 9hours at least for a guaranteed 3* on the leader tag, while elite tag will give a guaranteed 2*.
In the end, it's all in the hands of RNGesus and the desire sensor.

I thought I finally assembled the right dream team for my alt to take down Dante when I got fragments for SR Aster and SR Edmond, before he smacked us down after my team failed the initial wall breach. I had to buy up the last few shards for Aster's 4* upgrade and get him to level 59 before I hit the right amount of damage. I also found it a bit difficult to keep Morvay alive with 2* SR Yakumo's weak healing, but it was all in the right timing for both his and Morvay's ults.
So uh tl;dr ver: I guess it would've been a better choice to let my 3* SR Edmond reach max intimacy instead of 4 or maybe just use a 3* R Quincy for higher damage on the wall defense with this team comp if one doesn't have a 4* SR Aster.
ye. for me the secret was ditching Morvay, upping Aster's health through potential to get him to tank and investing in another (water striker).
i did it with 3* Aster (lvl 60, P7, I5), 2* SSR OG Yakumo (lvl 60, P7, I4), 3* SR Edmond (lvl 60, P6, I3), 3* SR Quincy (lvl 60, P6, I5), 2* OG SSR Olivine (lvl 56, P7, I4)

Ooh nice team. I was hoping I could roll dupes for SSR Edmond in this event earlier so I can get him to 3*, but since NuGovernment changed the banner rules I wasn’t able to go with my plan A. I didn’t have enough gold to use for another striker so it was either R Quincy or SR Edmond, but I guess it worked out the end even if I chose poorly. If every new clan member becomes the final floor boss, won’t this mean we’ll get a new chapter first? That would explain the length of every Sorcerer’s Trials.
Speaking of Quincy, his new SSR second scene was shit. At least do oral
