This is a shitpost thread but unironcally how come most japanese games try to pain Lucifer/Satan as this misunderstood entity and try and paint him as a good being?
Even in the old scriptures satan is not an entity or an evil being but rather a title that means "he who opposes". The short way to understand it through the SMT games is that since light (god) will try to force their will upon people and lead through something akin to dictatorship, satan aligns itself to the player character in most of those games since its your will to fight against such dictatorship. In a few smt satan has been your enemy too depending on the alignment you pick.
Lucifer did nothing wrong.
Lucifer was misunderstood, he reveled but since god is extremists instead of forgiveness he straight up kicked him out of heaven stripped him out of his angelic powers and buried him inside the core of the planet for all eternity.
