The joke is that turn based games in general do not require any dexterity. You're just selecting menu options like as if you were entering numbers into a spreadsheet in excel.
Why does it matter if they require dexterity? Even then there’s a lot of turn based JRPGS like SMTV just recently that require both dexterity and turn based strategy if it’s about fun
Only incels overcompensate in this way
>The joke is that turn based games in general do not require any dexterity.
So? I'm not playing a turn based game so I can do sick combo strings, I'm playing it because I want to fiddle with stats, gear, spells, team composition, and generally do the problem solving with the fine control over the characters that you can't quite get with an action game. I can understand if people don't like it but it seems like half the board can't even fathom how someone could enjoy something if it doesn't involve a test of reflexes.
anon the same people who shit on turn based games are the same people who find actual difficult action games to be bullshit or find fighting games bullshit
they fundamentally do not understand strategy, tactics, or planning, and only see thing happen must do thing and only want a streamlined experience of following what the game tells them to do with 0 thought outside of that
don't try to find logic here on Ganker
Ganker school of """critic""" is identifying thing exists and point out that thing is bad because anons were able to point it out

The "people" who make threads like this are low IQ brown skinned thirdworlders who cannot comprehend skill and strategy beyond "me hit thing fast". The irony is these people would get absolutely rinsed by me in RTS, an genre that requires both speed and strategy.
highest iq jrpg fan
it's nothing to do with the stats and numbers. the joke is that there's no real gameplay. but if you enjoy doing boring encounters over and over again so you're strong enough to do a harder encounter so you can read a textbox with decent music in the background then more power to you. personally, i like playing my games.
There was a over saturation of parody movies in the mid 2000's. It got to the point where they started making parodies of comedies. Shit was fricking garbage and every one hated them
Good luck bro, it's in-between the first bridge you cross and the town of Pravoka. If you're not looking in-between those two places you're in the wrong spot.
This game has been living rent free on my head, i kinda want to try out but i would be lying if i said it isn't imposing. I already have an idea of how much of a mess goes on behind the scenes.
I can just instantly tell what the good skills/statuseffects/characters/classers/whatever are at a glance now.
In the end its just a numbers game and I know how to work them now.
"action" games are basically turn based once your brain works fast enough. If you still think there's any difference between a "reflex" game and a menu selection game then it says a considerable amount about how slowly your brain works. Consider seeing a doctor about your mental impairment.
yes
Most JRPGs are way too simple to require note keeping.
I still do it because I'm an autist for certain character names, towns, secrets etc...
You missed the point. The point is it's nothing but a dumb menu and 3 numbers.
The average CRPG combat is just Cookie Clicker.
but I spent 5 hours making my party on icewind dale 2...
You made an 18 str half orc great sword fighter right???
Couldn't be farther from the truth
The only crpg you know is Diablo
Hey, i like that.
I'll keep it in mind for later shitposting.
I never understood this meme and I love jrpgs
JRPGs aren't the only games with stats and numbers
The joke is that turn based games in general do not require any dexterity. You're just selecting menu options like as if you were entering numbers into a spreadsheet in excel.
Why don't card or board games ever get compared to excel then?
Because computers aren't limited by the realm of physical objects. They can run simulations in real time.
Why does it matter if they require dexterity? Even then there’s a lot of turn based JRPGS like SMTV just recently that require both dexterity and turn based strategy if it’s about fun

What's wrong with that?

Don't let this place get to you. Ganker enjoys misery like a fat person enjoys cake.

>jrpg gay thinks he's a tactician
Kek
I bet you cry about cannon rushes and 6pool too
we need that for boomergamers who have slower reflexes
Neither does being a homosexual. I don't see that getting compared to spreadsheets.

No wonder he died against Don Cheadle, he has shit physical defense you fricking noob

moron got the animal sidekick dead when the big tit princess is in his party. What a dumb Black person.
Yes. Using my brain is stimulating.
Wheres the anime girls
Action RPG gays be like Wow bro it totally feels like I'm the one doing all the triple flips and summons, so immersive
>using WoW as an example
WoW has one of the best controls and gameplay for any RPG on the market.
>WoW has one of the best controls and gameplay for any RPG on the market
blizzdrones are on another level
If any games are spreadsheet sims its ARPGs.
>haha you read spreadsheets!
Thanks?
it is fire tho
Just watched this again. Some jokes weren't as funny anymore but still a good movie.
why did this type of movie and humour suddenly died?
it got taken over by morons that weren't funny and didn't understand what made it funny.
There was a over saturation of parody movies in the mid 2000's. It got to the point where they started making parodies of comedies. Shit was fricking garbage and every one hated them
>Budget$1.3 million
what the frick
Yes, this is exactly what I want, but with cute anime girls.
it has 'escape' as an option, but you know damn well that don cheadle is not allowing that
Don Cheadle is such a great actor. I liked him in rush hour 2. His captain planet and warmachine portrayal was also good.
>Spam Don cheadle x big tit princess fanart
Black folk and thirdworlders wouldn't understand.
You have to actually be dependent on Adderall to function if you unironically think turn based combat is spreadsheets
If you dont know the pleasure of seeing an excel file well organized you are not a homosexual sapiens.
Just started Final Fantasy 1. I got a crystal eye, now I have no idea where to go
Mayota's cave, she'll give you something in exchange for it that you need for somewhere else.
Oh thanks. I'll try finding a cave
Good luck bro, it's in-between the first bridge you cross and the town of Pravoka. If you're not looking in-between those two places you're in the wrong spot.
Oh ok. That explains why I was lost. Thanks a lot.
Anyone got that shitpost vid of a guy playing SMT4 on excel while Minotaur theme plays in the background?
frick off dunkey your wife loves bbc
>he doesn't know
This game has been living rent free on my head, i kinda want to try out but i would be lying if i said it isn't imposing. I already have an idea of how much of a mess goes on behind the scenes.
just jump in and try to learn what you can, anon. i did this with unlimited saga and somewhat came out unscathed
>Anime hero man
>Big tit princess
Looks kino
Call them a Black person and move on. Not rocket science.
Tell me one game that can't be dumbed down to an Excel sheet
>Games are easier
Yea.
It's not a question you fricking moron
It's also not an answer.
>
Turnbased RPGs are the Tank controls of gaming.

JRPGs are movie games for morons to make them feel smart. Congrats on being tricked into playing a DVD menu.
>are movie games for morons to make them feel smart
Bro, you just described Ocarina of Time.
I remember the amount of threads that shat on turn based combat a few years back and now we have come full circle to embrace it once again.
>BRO
I continue to play the games I enjoy while letting others play ones they enjoy.
I feel like Ive mastered JRPGs by now.
elaborate white man
