I'm looking forward to it but this new trailer was extremely vague and it seems a long way off. I'd guess 2026 tbh unless 2K gets tired of subsidizing Ken and pushes it out the door in 2025

T2 directly, 2k is a subsidiary like Rockstar or Zynga. There's a difference. What this basically means is that Ken and his crew don't have to answer before anybody other that top brass and should have way more freedom.

I hate Ken so much for what he did to Bioshock. It's clear he's been a poison to the series from the start as 2 is so much better than Infinite and 1 had plenty of team to reign him in.

1 vs 2 is kind of like design vs programming and writers vs marketers. The first game had much more flourish to it and the second game had mostly better mechanics. Real Bioshockism has never been tried.

I think it's nice to have something Bioshock-esque that isn't directly tied to the IP anyhow.

Feels like Infinite really shot itself in the foot trying to both do its own thing and repeatedly tie things back to Rapture in the end, so at least Judas is a clean slate.

The most dissapointing thing about Infinite is just how sluggish it felt, especially when you realize Irrational Games is the same studio that made Tribes:Vengeance where you have the mobility of a crackhead strapped to a jet pack and it gives you fairly open-ended maps where you can go crazy with that element. I also remember some pre-release Infinite promos claiming how things like mobility and crowd managements would be fairly big elements of the gameplayyet the final retails release just ended up being the worst hits of ealry 2010's FPS games.

            Anonymous

The sluggishness, the story, the two weapon limit, the time travel not making sense, regenerating shields, theme park level design. The game has a lot of things wrong with it.

Nope. It's why Infinite only references 1 and disregards 2's canon in Delta being the first Big Daddy to succesfully bond to a Little Sister while BaS shows Elizabeth doing it woth a regular Bouncer.

I like the art design but that's all we have to go on as far as I know.

I remember it being compared to an indie game, Wildermyth in some interviews way back when, in terms of organic storytelling shaped by player choice and procedural events, but most of it seems to tie back to how Ken Levine is a hard director to work for because he's an ideas guy that's always changing up what the ideas actually are.

The game's name is a dead giveaway, it's about betraying someone's trust which will set in a motion of events with great consequences. You might even say that if it wasn't for Judas betraying Yehoshuah, Christianity would have never come into being.

We need to speculate on the plot of the game. Basically something about AI or a ruling class controlling peoples minds and lifes and also something about social media/narcissism.

      >We need to speculate on the plot of the game
      "A disintegrating starship.
      A desperate escape plan.
You are the mysterious and troubled Judas. Your only hope for survival is to make or break alliances with your worst enemies. Will you work together to fix what you broke – or will you leave it to burn?"
So, our protagonist who is some kind of hacker(?) fricked up the ship/colony and has to escape with 1(?) of the companion characters (the sheriff, that bald black girl or that robo girl) while being chased by FNAF animatronics and probably some human factions. Simple enough premise. I guess this is all we know now.

What interests me and what I was getting at is that Elizabeth in Bioshock Infinite is basically feminism personified or she was in her original iteration which got stripped back into Old Lady Elizabeth destroys New York vignette towards the end of the game. The plot of the game is vaguely about keeping her locked away in her tower, lest she escape and destroy civilization. In other words, Judas is essentially Elizabeth 1.0 and Levine exploring that plot line.

I just have no idea what "eat the cookie" and "the big three" and all that are supposed to intonate.
