Julius Caesar and after lifetime musou Warrior game.

For this hypothetical game.
Who do you want to be in it?
What famous battle should be done?
Should we have alternate history?
Should we divide playable characters into factions ?

OP have I'm going to add names that people besides me suggest as playable characters besides Julius Caesar who's obviously going to be in the game as much as Cao and Obe Nobunaga in Dynasty and Samurai Warriors.

Dude add Hadrian and Trajan. Best times ever to be a Roman. Or for more dramatic times, Flavius Aetius/Stilicho/Majorian. Or for that Byzantine Sovl Justinian/Bellisarius or go back to the Conquest of Iberia by the Scipio family. There is a lot of material to work with. Shit for a weird doozy make it work around the fallen Rome under Ricimer fighting off othee barbarians.

Bellisarivs Plebbicvs Vandalicvs Gothicvs during the reconquest of Africa, Italy and Cisalpine Gaul.
Or Avrelian crushing the Palmyrean and Gallic Empires.
Or Scipio Aemillianus salting of Carthage.
Or Hadrian going postal on Ivdea, and fricking twinks because it's Hadrian.
Basically you could grab a lot of periods along the Empire's history to make great games.

How would you portray the Caesar assassination though?

You could play as Brutus and instigate the murder then fight a hopeless battle against Augustus.

It would need to have a cutscene after the assassination to have Mark Antony say his speech.

Yeah but who would make a Roman musou. And who wouldn't make it into a shitlib revisionist pile of garbage?

I'd rather have a Musou game where you play as notable historical figures and gods from a bunch of different world civilizations
