Is it just me or does the SNES version control like absolute dogshit? Does the genesis version control better? Desert Strike for the SNES controlled well

Should I go with momentum or no momentum?
Momentum. There are many instances in which you want to fly past an enemy while they fire a rocket and you want to turn and move while they miss and hit them in their refractory period.
How does everyone feel about the GB version?
gb version feels smoother and the graphics are pretty much as good as the consoles
Why did they make Hydra rockets into shit? They are utterly pathetic now. They used to be great in Desert Strike.
WTF is this? What the frick does 2nd mean? Where are these co-pilots? What disillusional moron made this?
The Amiga version of the game was reworked. You can find these co-pilots there.

Interesting. Wonder why they left them out of the original game
They weren't "left out," they weren't ever created for the original game in the first place. They were added as extra content for the Amiga release.
The PC version gets a new 5th campaign too
>SNES version of a game
>it's absolute dogshit
What did you expect?
Thoughts on Soviet and Nuclear Strike? Did the series transition to 3D well?
Haven't played Soviet, but owned and finished Nuclear Strike back in the day. It's a fantastic game. Throughout the game you control all kinds of vehicles, not only a helicopter (though most the time you do). Gameplay is great, you can set the camera behind your heli, which makes it even better to control. Presentation of the game is really cool, too.
moron here
What do you mean presentation is good?
N64 Nuclear Strike both runs and plays better than the Sony version as well.
but does it have the FMV cutscenes?
>no response
Ouch
Yes, they're great too.
After playing them recently on both systems I think i preferred SNES for Jungle Strike and Genesis for Desert/Urban Strike. Desert is pretty much the same on both systems really. Urban strike is almost unplayable on SNES, it's so choppy. From what I understand they were all developed first for Genesis and ported to SNES and some other developer handled the Urban Strike one and it got really messed up.
In Jungle Strike though I think the SNES version was a little bit easier, just with what it showed on the map. Like in the last mission there's a part where you have to blow up a bunch of things but none of them are shown on the map on Genesis so it makes it really hard without save states because there's not much fuel, but SNES has them all on the map. There was a few parts like that, differences with what's marked on the map. The stealth plane stage seemed harder on SNES though, i just kept crashing into things a lot more
Yeah, the Genesis games deliberately hide more and more stuff from the map as the levels progress as a form of difficulty increase. I guess by the SNES release gamers must have complained about it or the dudes doing the port just didn't notice.
>By The Edge
Huh?
Bamp
Is it stupid that I like Jungle and Urban Strike way more because of the variety of environments? Desert Strike is great but the levels are meh except for a few moments.
Explain. Also I didn't mean "meh" in an objectives you have to complete kind of way I meant "meh" in how the environments look
Desert is simpler and smaller game, of course it's fine to like it less.
What about the gameboy ports?
Strike games were always better on Sega.
the night mission in desert strike is too dark pls put lights on the helicopter
They all pretty much control like dogshit. this game benefits a lot from dual stick controls. It can be setup to play that way on an emulator.
