You're in for some decent fun, it's got some neat ideas compared to others games and let's you explore the entire world if you want to make a team before even earning your first badge
I've been playing it for a week, it is surprisingly fun once you accept the shitty performances and graphics
The last Pokemon game I played before that was Heartgold on DS
I think that's why I like it this much, the amount of QOL when compared to GBA games and even DS ones is fucking crazy >You can create as many TMs as you want, as long as you have the materials required (it usually doesn't ask a lot) >In the same fashion, you can make a Pokemon relearn any move that it had on the fly >No more fucking HMs, which wasted a move slot, and even wasting 1 to 2 slots in your team if you went for the HMs slaves route), instead you get a cool Legendary Pokemon bike that can later on swim, glide, climb cliffs, sprint, and jump really high >No more annoying ass wild encounters, instead you actually see the Pokemons in the game world >All your Pokemon share XP, which means you can pretty easily build whole new teams in no time >No more annoying ass real time Day/Night cycle, which means I don't have to wait for next fucking wednesday to get that Pokemon or whatever.
Overall it is a stress and OCD free Pokemon game, it's real easy to pick up, and pretty addicting.
I also like that you are not limited to the same 20 shitmons for 75% of the game, due to the game's being non-linear and open world
One important thing I would like to add to your post is that your pokemons that you capture can be raise into meta level. No more breeding nonsense just to get the perfect IV. Its all done very easily with the stuff the game provided you.
is SV actually good or is this some meme im not in on? last main series game i played was usum btw
I enjoy it greatly. It helps that the grass starter is a waifu mon.
Pokemon Sword/Shield had this and they put the move relearner in pokemon centers which while not as convenient as being able to change it at any time was pretty nice.
The game rightfully got shit on for its pisspoor performances and graphics, which are shameful even for a Switch game
There is a good game underneath though, but like I said

it might depend on your personal experience with the series
It's easy to trade yes, and you can always ask on any forum
For the starters no worries, if you make a Pokemon Home (app that allows you to store pokemons between games) account connect your Pokemon Scarlet/Violet to it, and transfer a Scarlet/Violet pokemon to it, you get the three starters for free
They even gift you a Charmander for free if you get the app on your phone.
Why does Ganker and /vp/ have so many people who will defend the travesty that was SwSh of all things while shitting on the clearly much superior SV?
Is the Pokemon fanbase really that addicted to being contrarian?
a kino game
>>>/vp/
>Just about to play this.
don't
suck my dick, bro
>reddit spacing
Enjoy your ban.
huh?
i'll do you one better
Never played either of these games but I just wanna let you know these images feel like a desperate cope.
A decent story and characters. Just play it.
Bugs + graphics that make your eyes hurt
Wigglytuffs Diarrhea.
Pretty much the same thing but in 3D and there's no random traditional encounters
You're in for some decent fun, it's got some neat ideas compared to others games and let's you explore the entire world if you want to make a team before even earning your first badge
The next mainline game will be much better surely. They can make use of what they learned from arse legends and scarlet/violet.

Oh and I forgot the best one:
>You can access your pokemon storage boxes anywhere on the fly
Pokemon Sword/Shield had this and they put the move relearner in pokemon centers which while not as convenient as being able to change it at any time was pretty nice.
That's good to know, but like I said the last Pokemon game I played was Heartgold back when it released 10 years ago

So how hard is it to complete the pokedex in this? Do people online trade away copies of the starters?
It's easy to trade yes, and you can always ask on any forum

oh cool. Had no idea it did that for using pokemon home.
I waited one (1) year to see if this shit got fixed and it hasn't. How low should my standards be to enjoy this?
They have no time to fix it as I assume they are working on the next one probably coming out next year as a switch 2 launch title
Probably the best pokemon game in a while. the graphics and performance are shit though but not enough to ruin it

If I had to guess, this fucking bitch and her fanbase. SV took all the bad things that happen in SwSh and reverse it and they hate that fact.
I have never seen anyone on Ganker defend SWSH.
The free version of home only letting you store 30 pokemon is such crap. They should make it 100 at least.
Started playing it on Ryujinx. Seems alright. Can't disable exp share as far as I know, and you can't even put battles on set mode.
