I got around to beating it a few months ago after always wanting to play as a kid, because I saw it in tips & tricks so many times.
I punked out on the last mission and just left without fighting 9-balls at all.
Why is this a DVD-format box art
Probably made for OPL cause it doesn't support square box art
You can ascend the blocks with little trouble after a while.
It does get easier as you learn to expect enemies in certain places and learn to strafe onto blocks while falling. Ones that just go up and down are the easiest. Did it with my last 4 legged chunk of an AC, easier with a lighter type but no need to rebuild.
And yeah, either bait the Nineballs to the bottom and laugh as their high range can't do shit against your firepower, or avoid them entirely if you can manage your booster on the way up the last chamber.
What do we think of the expansions? Project Phantasma, while linear, felt it had more effort to it, but some people like having near endless arena opponents in Master of Arena, which while it does cram in a short campaign, there's only so much I could dual laser arm fricks to death in the car park of death.
It seems like they were getting more ambitious with map design with PP, and then went on to make some absolutely dogshit missions in MoA. It should be the best of the 3 games but I find it lacking between the tweaks to lock on and the mission quality being schizophrenic
I beat the moa master arena and got the special version of the credits movie, never felt like I deserved a jerkoff in a videogame ending calling me the master of the arena more
MOA is one of the best games From have made.
Whoever put hard to see turrets on top of some of them so that sometimes you'd land wrong and be bumped off needs to face tribunal for war crimes
The point of final stages is to test everything you've learned.
Never understood the seething over the blocks. Takes maybe 5-10 minutes of trial and error if you really struggle that much but by that point in the game movement and camera control shouldn't be a problem for you.
It was the double Nine-Balls that pissed me off.
I just ran past those guys. They wanted to have a fight in a shitty vertical shaft, so I just left.
Try Master of Arena it's even better.
Didn't you lure Nineball into the tunnel one after a time and just blast him like that?
I'm triggered that they always put the logo on top like PS2 and not on the side like the actual long boxes
Keep going. The game will let you do all the missions from the other routes after you beat the game. In fact beating everything and having that on your memory card is how you unlock Human PLUS in Master of Arena.
That doesn't unlock Plus in any later version, you only gain Plus from failing specifically.
I'm pretty sure to unlock ALL the bonus content in MoA, you need to both complete every mission AND get all 10 levels of Human PLUS
I have all the bonus content in MOA without Plus.
But do you have the PLUS bonuses for your pilot?
Don't need them.
That wasn't what I asked
You're going to have to specify what you mean; I have everything on MOA unlocked. If you're talking about Plus upgrades, no, I have never used Plus.
Same here
Afaik you need to finish every mission, beat everyone in the arena, and kill every other AC that appears in missions even if it's optional in terms of mission success. Thats every AC game, don't think ex arena is counted although I finished all of those too
*And find all hidden parts, whoops
Even the oldest ac games have a completion %, either directly listed on the save or in a pilot status screen, and in the ones with human+ it doesn't do anything for completion
>If you're talking about Plus upgrades, no, I have never used Plus.
Then you don't actually have EVERYTHING unlocked
>he thinks a handicap is an unlock
>so desperate to justify playing on easy mode that he's trying to frame it as an unlock
oh no no
I beat it last year and then started Project Phantasma with my imported AC.
Then I started to think maybe this was making me overpowered and I have not got around to going back and playing the game from scratch with a new AC.
I lost interest in the game 'cuz every time I failed a mission I felt compelled to reload my save and try it again (I'd save after each mission success) but the process of reloading becomes tedious.
Just fail out until you get handicapped like
did.
I am proud of you Raven.
I remember rebuilding into a medium weight reverse leg design with rock bottom energy drain so I could climb the blocks in like 3 jumps
Yeah the final mission is just balls to the wall, I don't know what were they thinking when they made it.
Did you use the analog controls hack?
