Just beat this. Holy shit. Eurojank aside, it is one of the greatest games of this generation, if not THE greatest. Sadly enough, I only found out about this game through Ganker, so thank you morons and God be with you

What game?
Mordhau.
oblivion
open world slop; slav shit edition
>t. Filtered by the drunk
If anything KC:D's open world is "anti-slop". It's small, but detailed with a very handcrafted feel to it and feels like an actual place (which it is), not a video game theme park. From a historical perspective I'm not entirely satisfied with it, but as an RPG experience it was fantastic.

>Sequel literally never
J U S T. Before this came out I was literally begging for a more traditional historical RPG.
I just want more
literally never
they are working on it
sauce or didnt happen as far as I know the devs were shunned from gaming cause they didnt put Black folk in a historical game
not gonna go google it for you
the studio's creator mentioned multiple times on his own streams that they're working on ''unannounced'' game and by some leaks it looks like the sequel might come out next year.
it is the worst games of its genre and no amount of slav shilling will make it better because all it takes is for someone to play it to realize how much it sucks
it filters casual skyrimbabbies such as yourself and that's why it's great
>he thinks the only other game in existence is skyrim
>he is comparing this sack of shit to skyrim
Yep. Filtered. Better go follow your quest tracker and frick off to a new thread.
hello esls
your shitty game also has a shitty quest tracker that is the exact same copy of skyrim you fricking homosexuals
Hardcorelet spotted.
>Implying skyrim is of higher quality
lmfao lol literally a baby go put your bib on for wiener sucking you wiener baby
WHO DO I BELIEVE
the vast majority of the complaints come from morons who think a random peasant should be immediately good at fighting
there's literally a trainer you can keep fighting forever 20 minutes into the main quest and time literally stops when you're fighting him and they still can't make it that far without breaking down, crying and uninstalling
>who think a random peasant should be immediately good at fighting
>this idiot thinks that people are shitting on the difficulty instead of the combat mechanics being fundamentally broken and sloppy
Look up a video of people fighting in this game at higher levels when they supposedly mastered the combat and it's supposed to get good and it STILL looks and feels like janky shit. Dishonest frickwits like you keep trying to shift all criticism of this onto the gay "your peasant dude will deliberately miss attacks and parries at low levels even when your reflexes are on point" mechanic hoping that people won't notice the mechanics are dogshit at their very core.
thanks for reaffirming that you didn't play the game
>look up a video
shut it and frick off already filtered moron
>straight up admitting you cant tell the difference between tutorial gameplay and endgame gameplay visually
how shit at video games are you holy smokes
I'll give it a shot. thank you anons
>a random peasant should be immediately good at fighting
Even with maxed stats the enemy bandits scale to you and come with best gear and 100% evasion/parry rate that can only be bypassed by doing the master strike minigame which is really fricking tedious slow and boring. Hell even if you randomly find a random dude with a stick as his weapon he will still parry your sword with max stat while taking no damage. The game attempts at being fun by introducing combos but you can never do them because enemies always block the second hit. The combat in this game sucks all the way through.
t. someone who has actually played the game
It's especially infuriating to me because it didn't used to be like this. I remember watching old dev streams and videos where they were showing off the combat and it flowed way better, no master strikes (iirc) and no slow mo so blocks didn't kill the pace. I feel like this might have been a decision forced on them from on high, like you need to give players an easy counter and slow the combat down so they don't get overwhelmed, but then if that's the case why did they make enemies counter so often too?
There are no decisions coming from higher ups. The lead dev owns the company behind the game. I agree enemies countering so often is fricking stupid though. The only way to fight tough opponents is to wait and master strike because the first attacker always loses. It's fricking moronic and it severely detracts from the game when the only viable way to play is to wait and counter. Honestly, it's annoying enough to drop the game from an 8 to a 6.
They got most of their money from outside investors, kickstarter was really just a way to prove that a market for it existed. Those people definitely could have had a say in matters.
The level scaling on hardcore is hard to deal with yeah, cumans are honestly easier to deal with than bandits at high level.
Master strike pretty much replaces perfect block at higher skill levels too, but you CAN land combos. Even if they block the second attack the last strike will hit and cant be blocked.
It is a great first person RPG that is a bit more hardcore than what modern games like it are nowadays (like skyrim/fallout). You start off with low stats which means you can barely shoot a bow straight and your skills with the sword are not great, but the more you use these skills the higher your level gets and it reflects in the gameplay, i.e. your bow accuracy improves, you start being able to absolutely wreck groups of people with your weapon when at first you could barely 1v1 etc. Its more grounded in reality so no magic. It doesnt have a straight up fast travel system, it just speeds up and stops you if you run into random encounters on the way you are headed.
It is at the very least a 7.5-8/10 type game that might reach towards 8.5 depending if I am being realistic, and that is not an IGN scale, its a pretty good score. It does have a little eurojank, or at least it used to when I played it back in 2018 (it has gotten a lot of patches since then so it is most likely a lot more stable now, but back then it was basically the level of a bethesda release)
it won't please the happy meal crowd since it doesn't have blinking lights and arrows telling you where to go but it's fun if you enjoy a bit of adventuring mixed with a bit of story
>janky combat
>bugs out the ass
>shit story that just abruptly ends
I can commend the developers' ambition but they fell considerably short of the mark they were aiming for.
>shit story that just abruptly ends
That's just life
Beat it on release. Extremely comfy and immersive. Especially stealth.
Are DLCs worth coming back for it? Or hardcore mode?
I didn't know Zelenski was featured in a medieval game.
Jesus Christ be praised, brother.
Soul, kino, ludo, masterpiece
Nothing about authenticly role playing as an actual middle age peasant appeals to me. Graphics seem alright.
But you can't even hoe and toil. You play as some kind of medieval secret agent.
Protag is a blacksmith's son and noble bastard who joins the retinue of a lord, not a peasant.
Do you unironically believe this game is about growing crops and milking cows?
I've been preaching the greatness of this gem since 2018 to people. God be with you, anon.
My one issue with the game was it felt too "photoscanny", there's so much soul in the UI but the game itself goes hard on trying to be realistic. I would've preferred if they went for a semi-stylised approach in the vein of Dishonored or Bioshock, though it was on a AA budget and I going for realism would be the cheaper option
>semi-stylised approach in the vein of Dishonored or Bioshock
Fricking why
Because for me when something is trying to be realistic I see everything it's failing to live up to, whereas with something stylised I can get fully absorbed into the world. KC:D was fantastic out in the forests but as soon as one of the glassy-eyed npcs or animals poorly animated itself into the scene the facade was broken.
I know, but I think it could've conceded some realism in the art assets in the same way they made some concessions for the sake of gameplay
>animals poorly animated
I wouldn't say that there are any arystyle out there that makes animation flaws look okay.
Realism was the point of the game dude
thank god you're not in charge of anything.
You should be able to pick the correct choice.
Middle one, because it's the only one consisting of actual latin words
>quit my latin studies
>this quest
only time this shit ever came in useful
"People called romans, they go the house"?!
Go home? This is motion towards, isn't it boy?
this game is beyond dogshit. play a real fricking game troon.
dwarf fortress ftw!
My only real complaints are how spears/polearms aren't a skill, and how the game went out of its way to add fishing points but just made them nets in the water that you gather from. Like if you're going to mark fishing points on my map let me fricking fish.
Fun fact: Polearm skill is actually still in the game, it just wont tell you when you level up.
Its was kind of dummied out because it was hard to balance. Turns out Spears are overpowered as frick
My single complaint is the early brewing mechanics, doing it one at a time, having to replace the ingredients everytime.
Sure it's immersive, but after the first thirty or forty potions I wanted nothing to do with it, and I wasn't anywhere close to auto brewing by that point.
Otherwise I loved the game, jank combat and all, because I believed the world the rest of the time.
game is dumb and boring. They put emphasis on "realism" and then you save by drinking alchemic potions and somehow crossbows and lances are non-existent.
Its like a "realistic" Skyrim, including night vision potions and stuff.
People at the time believed in alchemical potions and other superstitions.
Herbal remedies weren't superstition and most potions in the game fall into that category. The game probably should've left that night vision potion out though.
you know that there are several agents inside various plants that can dilate pupils?
>muh sword
shit story, game is fine but could be better
7/10
it was the real GOTY 2018
this but because no Black folk and no trannies stirred controversy on twitter it didn't even make it to nominees.
No one cared about trannies yet, it was just about Black folk
fact check: true
>I only found out about this game through Ganker
Huh.... it was a pretty big deal several years ago.
WHERE'S THE FRICKING SEQUEL VAVRAAAAAAA YOU SLEAZY SHIIIIET
the shilling will never stop, will it?
>Game is fun and not filled with goyslop trannies and browns
>LE SHILL AAAAAAA
kys glowie
Take your fricking pills, you brainrotted moron.
the drunken priest quest is reason enough to play this game.
It's a good game and there's nothing else quite like it. It's not designed or intended to be played like skyrim or any other hack and slash RPG. You have to learn to play it a certain way though or you just get you shit pushed in. I really enjoyed it, story was good and it keeps going, ending was anticlimactic but its well set up for a sequel, frick knows if we'll ever get one, Warhorse did say they intended to make one.
Was actually funny, liked that you had to learn to read as well, with words being jumbled garbage until you did.
Yes, i played it blindly and this become one of my favourite game, they nail the historical accuracy while telling a interesting story, i love henry character development he went from an incel moron farmer boy to chad man, every side character are also well written, and i love open world to, this might be the only game where forest feel comfy
Hope they made a sequel
Are there any game with this level of historical accuracy while also have a fun gameplay/story
I'm tired of fantasy shit like witcher/dragon age a long time ago
Mount and Blade
Legend of Einsenwald
1428 Shadow over Silesia
>1428 Shadow over Silesia
Holy shit this looks good. Gonna pick it up.
Wow Shadow over silesia look so good artstyle wise, why i haven't heard about this game?
Well, it's good only when camera is high. Close-ups are not so good.
>Mount and Blade
>history
>historically accurate
There's no magic, that's important, and also you can always mod it to some real era.
its not even loosely based on history, it is a fantasy setting.
Are you moronic? All the M&B factions are directly based on history.
if you call m&b historically accurate then you don't understand the concept
At best they are inspired by historical peoples but even then its not historically accurate because the setting doesn't exist. its like saying elder scrolls is historically accurate because the nords are loosely inspired by scandinavian history.
>At best they are inspired by historical peoples but even then its not historically accurate because the setting doesn't exist. its like saying elder scrolls is historically accurate because the nords are loosely inspired by scandinavian history.
Are you American or something? No, they aren't "inspired by", they are direct historical stand-ins, the equipment and troop types used are historically accurate, not to mention the gazillion history mods for it. Only the territory in the game is a fictional playground (but still with historical architecture). It has nothing to with fantasy races.
Manor Lords will mog KC:D in historical accuracy, but it's citybuilding/RTS autism
Oh manor lord, holy frick what a game, i played demo and this gonna be day 1 buy for me, probably the only rts/city building game i enjoyed and only one person is making this and quality looks better than any paradox games, can aaa even made game these days
Try Exanima. It's low fantasy with great semi-realistic combat system. Equipment system is top-notch.
JESUS CHRIST BE PRAISED
honestly thought it was a bit boring
Another kino game
>inb4 buttblasted contrarian subhumans screeching
Will large stalker is amazing? But anomaly is not the way to play it, t least until you've actully played the main games.
>let me tell you how to have fun
case in point
I don't like it personally, but won't argue with you if you like Anomaly. But it's an awful intro to the series, it's for people who have played the OG series to death and want more.
Now there's loads of Anomaly and Gamma kiddies who think that it's the only way to play the game and are clueless about half the storyline.
>Now there's loads of Anomaly and Gamma kiddies who think that it's the only way to play the game and are clueless about half the storyline.
Why would you care about them, anon?
Because they simultaneously tell everyone that they love Stalker yet have only played a free fanmade Stalker modpack, dont know what the actual storyline is, tell people they dont need play the actual game, and get all upset and defensive when people suggest they buy and play the OG series.
I know, but why would you care about stupid people, anon? Total majority of this planet in on lower spectrum of double-digit IQ. Getting mad about them is like getting mad about rain.
I'm on Ganker, I can complain about morons shitting up a franchise I'm a longtime fan of if I like.
Sure, but caring about morons is a gateway on becoming a moron yourself. Learning how to cherish things simply on their own is a good thing.
And not shitting on morons relentlessly is how these morons start squatting on your turf
see
>le touch grass
I love a normal life dealing with normal shit. I come here to be autistic and moronic about things. The constant 'Why do you care what others do bro' is why every franchise is shit 'accessible' casual normie bait now
>I am normalgay
>but normalgays bad
>I come here to shit this place up
case in point lmao
Why do you care so much, go back to r*ddit and facebook if your going to try police what people are saying
>telling others to go back as a tourist
lol, lmao
Anomaly is shit and I don't give a frick what you think
>doubles down on his moronation again
you might not like it, but this is how peak brainlet form looks like
And what does being a smug c**t on Ganker get you?
Dunking on normalgays is healthy and good.
>Vavra is STILL shitposting on social networks against leftists
>self-admitted normalgay telling others to go back
you are not making it any better, moron-kun.
You definitely cross dress.
Cut your hair and smoke cigars
Is the Stalker open world tedious?
I play Metro exodus, and I was fricking tired of Caspian sea.
No, it's not that big and it has A-life that keeps things moving around so you always get unexpected surprises. You can use some mods for your first playthings for some quality of life improvements but still keep the core experience.
Alright gotcha.
OP was not a gay.
>pick flowers
>mini cutscene
>uninstall.exe
Mod it.
Mod it.
its like a Elder Scrolls game not by Bethesda. Possibly better than any Elder Scrolls in the future will be
don't care. Starfield is day one buy
what a weird thing to say
This is one of my favorite video games of all time, glad to see it's getting the love it deserves.
Plus there are no Black folk.
?? but its full of slavs
And coomans
>Plus there are no Black folk.
You have C*man instead
have a nice day /misc/trash and stop pestering KCD threads with your existence.
>have a nice day /misc/trash and stop pestering KCD threads with your existence.
As if you were a part of them, no you're just another leftist that would very much like to sacrifice video games just so you wouldn't ever be called a racist.
it has Turkish people which is even worse
I personally keep this game on my hard drive for the immersive forest walk + drunken Henry
>Henry leading Skalitz men in battle at the end
Truly, he has become Henry of Skalitz
>get to the Monastery
>can't figure out exactly what I'm trying to do
>stumble around getting sent to the time-out box over and over until I finally figure out how to get the key and escape
>finally get so frustrated I have to look up the walkthrough
I think it's great they worked so hard to make a mini-campaign like this, but I stopped playing the game for months because the call monitors kept b***hing at me.
The monastery is truly the greatest pleb and brainlet filter of our time.
It nearly filtered me, it's true. I hadn't bothered with lockpicking nearly at all so getting into the abbot's room and rifling through his stuff took a lot of schnapps.
Its not even hard it's just time consuming like the rest of the game lol.
Holy filter
The average man is much stupider than me, feels good.
Monastery was just listening to dialogue and using two braincells to 1+1=2.
Easily in the top 10 games released in the last 10 years.
The only reason this game has vocal haters is that it actually dares to be a game instead of a normie pleaser like Skyrim or Call of Duty.
>eurojank
you are just parroting a random phrase
this game is no more janky than the average game from amerifatsmellydumbmoronn*ggerlovercountry
I love ripping the dice player with all my loaded dices
It’s pretty good. The main quest line is getting boring though. Have about 40 hours in. Half way through the main quest. Been just exploring and doing side quests. Wish there the huge map didn’t feel so empty. Best game I’ve played in a while though
>characters in a realistic setting have far more charisma than games like skyrim
Maybe my favorite game of the past 10 years. Combat is shit. And warhorse better make a sequel before I snap and burn their studio to the ground, you motherfrickers planned this as a series from the outset WHY IS IT TAKING SO LONG!?
I really wanted to like it because I'm achud who loves medieval shit, but I got pissed because I got stuck in an infinite loop of dying at the beginning because one of the horse homies hit me with a poison arrow or some shit and I was too low level to try to find a cure, so I'd try to run somewhere the internet said and I'd die on the way.
probably the last game made by gamers for gamers. the future is trannieslop. its over
They also have the codex pasta for their game framed in their offices.
I've bought RAM sticks from Vávra few years ago. Good dude.
t. Czechnyan
I don't want to hear about how Vavra rammed you with his stick anon
I don't give a shit about this guy's private life and I wish you /misc/tards left KCD alone, fricking pests.
homie, the producer of this game is basically a /misc/tard, maybe you should leave this game alone then
have a nice day /misc/tard
i'm not one, i'm just saying
i mean, he is the one to wear a thor hammer across his neck in public and to spend a lot of time to argue with "sjw"s on twitter, he is probably not that far off
>the producer of this game is basically a /misc/tard
He's not, he's likely right-wing at most but he's not a moronic schizo incel.
what a gigantic homosexual, i'm glad i pirated that shit
Nice bait, very elegant.
it's not bait, he's a homosexual and i knew the game was shit but i wanted to try it
Jesus Christ be praised. Frick cumens.
Look everyone! Henry's come to see us!
How the hell do you fight more than 1 homies? I just get clobbered.
get better armor
take someone out fast
Wear better armor and try to take someone out in stealth.
Positioning helps, try to keep their melee guys in between you and their archers and try to stand next to trees or in doorways so they have a harder time flanking you.
Position melee c**ts between you and their archer, then the archer will either shoot them by accident or be busy constantly trying to reposition
Walk backwards a lot, when enemies start jogging at you do a stab and they will commonly run right into it. This also helps with keeping everyone in your view, never let people surround you
Manage your stamina, it acts as a shield for your health. You only take damage when you’re low on stam
>gets castlecucked by Havel Medek of Valdek who gets off scot-free
>gets cucked by Henry who (literally) gets off scot-free
>gets castlecucked again by Istvan Toth who gets off scot-free
israeli game.
I’m playing through it very slowly rn
It’s extremely good. I was apprehensive bc of how many people said the combat is shit but once you learn parries and a few combos it’s really not too bad. It’s just very weird and has a high learning curve. Really the only part that is bad is when you have to switch targets when you’re in a fight with multiple people, that could have been implemented better
I wish you could only switch targets if you pressed or held a button, what happens to me often is I try to aim an attack and end up turning 90 degrees and the enemy gets a free hit
I think that's what they were going for with the "hold shift to unlock" bind but they utterly ruined it with the fact that moving the mouse wrong also can change targets
jesus christ be praised!
