You can go to a top-10 engineering school for way less than that. Why would you get a fake degree instead of a real degree?
bachelor's degrees from MIT cost $320,000
full sail is a bargain compared to most other schools
>have to pay for gym
What gym is free?
Since you went out of your way to pick a private school instead of a state school, let me remind you that
>The 2022-23 undergraduate financial aid program will include enhancements to make MIT tuition-free for families who have typical assets and whose incomes are below $140,000 (previously set at $90,000), as well as additional financial aid dollars that will reduce the amount paid by most families.
But, I get it, some people are too stupid to finish a four year university program. For people like you, there are scam schools. Just don't ask me to help pay for your loans after you fail to graduate.
>look mom I posted it again
>paying 94k for a degree that'll end up worthless when they require comp-sci or art related degrees/portfolios
Don't be a moron OP.
Everything will be ai except narrative / ideas
>paying for en education
Get a trans scholarship
Were these the guys that used to advertise in like game informer and shit? I think a cousin of mine went to one of those schools and has been doing QA on a trend chasing battle royale game that never releases lol
the people who run full sail were on the sigma grindset
all the recruiters were hot girls
Probably be cheaper just to self-teach and make your own indie. However it would require a lot more time and an actual unique idea.
>decide to drop out and gamedev
>fail
>feel like a loser every day for being in debt
>its only 3000$
>i have learned some practical skills
>no game dev university course actually teaches soul or good music or anything
why does this exist
what does 90,000$ get you? nothing??
>no game dev university course actually teaches soul
thats why you go to church on sundays for FREE
computer science/engineering at state school + udemy/online course + tutorials + game jams to practice what you learned
Interesting. They cram 4 years worth of classes into 2. You take less gen ed courses and replace them with general game design courses. I don't know the quality of the teaching but in theory it sounds more useful for learning about making games then a traditional computer science course, but I'd still recommend someone not take a degree that locks them into game dev.
They also have a game development degree that seems a lot more transferable to other careers than the game design. There were plenty of course in my Comp Sci degree that I could have learned in a month.
just do what every engineer does and pretend your qualified while googling the code snippet to paste. if you cant find the right code to paste come up with an excuse with why our tech stack doesnt support the feature
>2 years of uni for 100k burgerclaps
do morons really pay for it?
Get a different job and be a game dev on the side. If you manage to finish and ship a game that'd be much more impressive on a resume than a game dev "degree"
Don't go to a private trade school then. Get good grades and get a full ride scholarship to a real university.
For me? It was 60€ a semester
Don't be a game dev. Game devs are low IQ software developers who couldn't handle algebra
>94K
Lmao there are people in patreon with 0 skill making thousand of dollars with porn games that will never release
There has to be some irony in that if you had $94K in seed money for an indie game project and some passion to learn development, you would have a better chance at becoming successful game dev than going to a scam college.
>Got a job just with just the knowledge from fricking around with free tutorials and wikis, solved problems as they came and worked up to legit indie dev
>The people who put those tutorials out are genuine enthusiasts, they put out informative shit supported by years of experience because it's their hobby
>Some poor people actually bite a 5-6 figure bill for some passionless hack to read them How to Use Unreal Engine for Dummies
I'm not a talented, or even good coder by any stretch, but I produce the same results as any indie working with a pricey degree, and all it cost me was a jannie's wage
Just go to a Community College and pay a few thousand dollars for an associates degree. If you suck or are realize it's not for you then you don't lose out on much. You can then transfer to a state school for 2 years. Depending on your state if you do well in CC, you can get a discount on tuition.
