this is gonna come as a surprise but eventually the ps4 and even the PS5 will become retro. keep coping though, it'll be funny to still see autists 10 years from now still saying the PS2 isnt retro
in 10 years i'll be 36 so then it'll be fair to call the stuff i grew up on retro

Bruh most people have 2 kids by that age...
I think it makes more sense to define retro by qualitative differences between technology rather than an arbitrary number of years. The games of the 360/PS3 era are still very much the same as the games we play today, and there hasn't really been much in a shift outside of graphical updates. Unless there's some huge shift towards GaaS (which would be the fricking worst), I don't think its really fair to classify those games as retro.
The PS2 era on the other hand is significantly lacking in online features, digital game downloads, patches, etc, so I would argue that that generation is retro. The experience of playing a PS2 game is significantly different than playing a PS3 game.
If Microsoft were to release a new XBox with rolling software updates applied to all of them and minor hardware differences between them, it would be ridiculous to call one retro and the other not based on a one-year disparity between nigh-identical hardware.
Didn't reread my post before posting like a moron, meant to say "release a new XBox annually", as if it were an iPhone. Separating two pieces of very similar hardware that run the same software by release date into "retro" and "not retro" is not helpful to any discussion
I like the Wii Port of DK Jungle Beat better
not having to rely on the bongos for platforming is great and it gives more of a sense of control
though I'll admit my arms were fricking sore when I 100%'d it
dead space extraction and fragile dreams are my all time favorite games independent of system
dead rising is also kinda neat
the fatal frame game was kinda fun
great system
Yeah it's a Wii, not a PS5.
Nothing except Smash Brawl and fit programs for obese people like because Nintendo knows their fanbase
jesus, you should get that cleaned anon
Zelda: SS
>buy a retro console
>Have no idea what to do with it
Yep, it's Ganker time
Careful anon. People who don't play video games will piss their panties if you call an almost 2-decade old console retro.
Nobody uses a Wii as anything but a retro emulation station anyway. Wii's native games all suckdick
Well it can play GameCube games
>Wii
>retro
OK moron
PS2, Gamecube are retro. Wii is the same hardware as Gamecube. The 360 and PS3 are going to be retro in 2 years.
