And with Inflation, the money you paid back then was probably worth more.

I think my mother is lying saying she doesn't get any tax refunds. is there a way to know how much money they refund her back from everything?

You can look at any if her paystubs to see hie much tax is withheld. You elect how much to hold from each check for taxes. Most people withhold extra just so they don’t get surprised by having to pay later. If someone doesn’t get refunds, it means they chose not to withhold much, so each individual paycheck will be slightly larger, but you’ll have to pay taxes instead.

Yeah she claims that she is not getting any checks because then she won't pay further taxes, thanks for the advice. I still think it is kinda fishy that she doesn't get any money back.

If you do your withholdings correctly you shouldn't be getting a tax refund. When you get a tax refund it means you overpaid your taxes and gave the government a free loan of your money. Besides, its your Mom's money, why does it even matter?

So you own the house, you make the money, and yet you’re worried about some $500 your mom might, MIGHT, be getting from her tax returns? Something’s not adding up here buddy

We have a business we administer together, renting rooms for the weekends and also a shop. So yeah, I am suspicious here.
I do the manual labor, cleaning the rooms and else.

Then whats the issue here? Look at the payroll, look at your 1065 and 965, and crunch the number yourself. You tell me how much your mom was supposed to get back

The problem is, in my country they don't give me a solid number the help pages just say "you can get a tax refund of 5%-36% per article".

I usually end up still owing taxes.
I think the last time I got a refund, it was literally 1 dollar from the state.
