Get a bow and arrow early. Any will do. You will use the epic tactic that everyone jizzes themselves over of standing in a safe doorway, shoting an enemy, backing off, killing it in a 1v1, and repeating. You will do this for every room basically the moment you enter Iron Keep until the end of the DLCs and game.
>I have never once played a souls game like this
I dont recall asking you how you have played Demons Souls, Dark Souls 1, Dark Souls 2, or Dark Souls 3. But thank you for informing me that this does not fit into your usual playstyle. >you just bad at the game
Because I use a pretty normal tactic? Explain yourself, and show me your Dark Souls II SOTFS hours.
It's not. It's rough around the edges and a bunch of areas feel pretty half-developed, but it quite literally does the "open world souls" better than ER and the DLCs are arguably the best content among all souls games (just too bad you have to slog through some pretty bland areas before them).
I'm not gonna weasel out of saying what's true. Bottom line is it's just TOO fricking hard. Look at this. They straight up made the game for the most hardcore of hardcore crowd at the expense of all the rest of us normal people.
They made the mistake of thinking their audience wanted deep challenging gameplay, when really what we want is more item descriptions. Also get rid of the enemies for christ sake. It's really annoying having to deal with all this shit when you're trying to not die. They completely missed the point.
This is pretty funny, since there's a DS2gay on this board who claims that DS2 is the best one, because you can walk around Fume Knight and he can't hit you.
I'd probably say DaS2 is the least enjoyable for me personally to play if I rank it by the rest in the series, but it is still a ton of fun and more worth your time than 95% of other games out there. DLC kicks ass, too.
OP here. I got to the first town or whatever. Saw a little pathway behind the bonfire and followed it to a forest. I managed to get to the second bonfire that has the merchant. I picked a knight class btw. I really need a shield ffs
>About to find out why you people say its complete dogshit
if you dont understand what is wrong with this game 10 seconds after gaining control of your character, it cant be explained to you.
I don't know why you guys think it's self-evident, every souls game has movement that feels like I'm telling another guy how to steer a tugboat over a speaker
>You people
cool it with the antisemitic remarks
Looking Glass Knight is still my favourite boss of the Dark Souls series.
Bruh just watch Matthewmatosis critique. He destroyed it one month after release
>bruh just let some youtube homosexual form your opinion for you, just like the rest of Ganker
fr fr no cap
You can't just generalize and say everyone who has issues with DS2 just parroted a youtuber.
>tranime moron is moronic
checks out
no argument lol, DS2 sucks ass
stop projecting your homosexualry onto inanimate objects

I'm not that guy and I didn't read your post, just letting you know you have autism
If you're not autistic you don't belong on Ganker.
lmao scrub
You ignored basically every other part of my post. I accept you concession.
fricking scruuuuuuuuuuub LMFAO
My hours.
If you've played the others before it you'll see why as soon as you get control of your character

>start up game
>pyromancer
>weapon breaks immediately after the tutorial area.
Still haven’t touched the game since.
It's unironically my favourite corridor shooter / mmo, got 400 hours in it

But Best team did that. Just kill an enemy 12 times.

It's not. It's the best one, most features and content.
