I'm thinking of buying an X1 Yoga 6th Gen.

I've worked on one at work (repair/service technician), and I really like it a lot.

    What do you lads think?

Ganker is a fricking dead board, I've already asked multiple times in Ganker but never got any replies

Buy whatever the frick you want homosexual. This has nothing to do with videogames.

        >this has nothing to do with video games
Neither due graphics cards either then.

If you an get a good deal, sure.
Just know that Lenovo support for consumers is dogshit. I had a 3rd gen X1 Yoga, the last model that had a rising keyboard design, and it had a litany of issues. The worst of these was a defective touch panel where it would develop a "ghost touch" in the top right hand corner.
Dozens of pages covering the issue on Lenovo customer forums, almost nobody was able to get it successfully repaired and those who did had the problem return.
Very shortly thereafter the 4th gen X1 Yoga released that shares a very similar design to that 6th gen, and is honestly a very robust machine and I haven't been able to find issues on it like 3rd gen.
Seems like a lot of newer Thinkpads have higher build quality than the ~2016-2018 models, which is good, but I got royally fricked over with mine and you should expect to have about that level of service should you ever have an issue with it.
I know I just said all of that but the entire laptop industry, unless you are a business, is just about as bad or worse. So even after all that I would consider a 2019+ Thinkpad a good buy. Sigh.

Yeah, I've worked on all the different models of thinkpads and the X1 Yoga 3rd Gen is not very good, though the X1 Carbon 6th gen from the same year is pretty good, it's what I currently have.

I hope you actually play games that make use of the extra 2GB, otherwise you bought the hotter version of the cars for no good reason.

enjoy your 120fps+ 4k HDR GSYNC gaming.

You do have a 120fps 4k HDK GSYNC monitor capable of HDMI 2.1 or Display Port Equivalent, right?

Can't believe it's been so long since cards were even purchasable.
