Because it streamlines the game into something easier to play in a competitive format, no distracting rocket exhaust or explosions, no ragdolls and victims just vanish on death, no distracting hats (this one I actually get, the only thing I even like about cosmetics these days is how it help you identify friends and foes in an instant based on their style)

Tf2 has ruined its own artstyle with frivilous cosmetic packs that contradict or visually contrast with the base game.
It's why I left the modding scene in 2013. So many homosexuals producing pet cosmetics in the facepunch thread that I got warnings for asking why people were wasting their time making trash for the game and why they didn't make mods for the items anymore.
I care more about whether or not it looks good than I do the artstyle clashes, since those were present pretty quickly already with the crossover items like Binding of Isaac Brimstone horns. I guess moot point since most items still don't look good, but even so I feel the distinction should be made.

I don't find the mods like Classic or Vintage actually run any better on my machine. With Classic's focus on four-team and high player meme matches I find it runs worse, usually.
the core problem is that tf2 can't utilize multi core processors properly. to get a consistent fps of ~150 you need to brute force it with higher clock speeds. the biggest issue with modern tf2 is how bloated it is. the biggest culprit are the particle systems

I have over 14,000 hours in this game, Anon, I know what the textures look like and I got more enjoyment from a new crosshair than I did using the newly unlocked picmip texture levels.

Of course, and I can still appreciate beautiful graphics (although I have questionable taste, I think games like The Witness look great).
The main reason I play with those graphics is to emulate a robot/cyborg experience both in visuals and gameplay - I never use chat other than to use binds that look like loading bars or robotic messages and I've modified some of my .cfg scripts to have unnecessary console outputs to look though as if it were loading complex software - I sometimes play the game in black and white to reinforce the feeling but can only do so in MGE or jump situations as teammates are in-differentiable from enemies that way. My experience will finally be complete once I obtain a better graphics card and nvidia releases some magic software which can emulate the black and white rendering of an infrared camera, and I can dream - but having an overlay with rectangles drawn around the enemies on-screen like cheat software does would be amazing...

I'd like to try some cheating software in fair-ish ways like non-wallhack wireframes or customized skyboxes but I don't wanna get vac'd, though some fairly cheat-ey features like projectile prediction would be amazing to use (but no aimbot of course)
I'm hoping the aforementioned magic nvidia deep-learning post-processing feature can differentiate blue from red, perhaps rendering enemies with much more contrast or whatnot, even if that borders on cheating, they could also just be rendered in a single color. The only game I know that does something even remotely like this is ultrakill which allows you to make a palette of colors as well as render different enemy types in a single color (see pic)
Which is why so far I've only been able to play MGE and Jump maps with black and white filters at very low resolutions.
I'll definitely post the config or whatnot when I'm done with it, and if some day I get into it deep enough I might even make a full-on modpack with a customized hud and have viewmodels use robotic hands instead of human hands but that's probably too ambitious.
you should just make a new steam account and try out cheats on that one. if it gets banned it won't negatively affect your main account.
the features you're looking for in a cheat client are called "chams." you can disable "xyz chams" which is what shows other people through walls and shit.
Aimware also has the options to change world colors etc and if you can code/know lua it provides a fairly extensive lua interface for scripting your own features, including custom visuals.
Aimware is kind of a shit tf2 cheat compared to others but hasn't had any major VAC waves. It's $100 for a lifetime subscription while a lot of higher quality cheats don't offer lifetime and you have to pay monthly.

atleast with pyro you need to have some sort knowledge on map, where you can ambush enemy, with soldier you just need to remember where medkits are

Pyro has the best hp/speed ratio in the game, the ability to shutdown 3 out of the 9 classes of the game (hard countering one of them to the point of unplayability), the widest variety of crit sources as well as the only healing reduction in the game

Go subscribe to a bunch of maps off the workshop and generate NAV meshes for them, TFbots aren't too bad if you just want to play new maps, provided they don't have any gimmicks you have to hard code compatibility for like the ctf_longestyard's jump pads which properly made nav meshes trick bots into being smart enough to know how to use the jump pads.

Steam has a built in protocol where if you make a link like steam://connect/[ip] it will automatically open the game and connect you to the server. More people should use this to get people on their servers.
