I think Hybrid Knight has become my favorite to play.
Sniper giving the team problems? Spam the area he is with pipes. It might not kill him, but will knock him around forcing him to go heal, reposition or try to get me from behind cover. Or I charge in with the bottle and taunt on his corpse.
Long as he doesn't get a chance to scope in my team is safe.

It’s assumed that your team is handling the frontlines fighting soft checks while you try to take out their Sniper.
Unfortunately Sniper is behind 15 teammates, so it’s already hard to get to him, and when you do it’s not guaranteed that you do kill him. Unlike the Soldiers and Demomen in the frontlines who risk death constantly.
And that’s what people hate. Argue about balance all you want, but no one enjoys seeing some homosexual stay behind his teammates, get kills, and have very little risk involved while getting kills.
Sniper’s damage should have reverse falloff like the Crusader’s Crossbow and be unable to crit with any melee. He should also be marked for death at all times.
Soldier is fine and the class you’re looking for is Engineer whose wienered as sucked so hard by Valve it had to be surgically re-attached.
Simple, switch to Sniper and kill him...

The Dragon’s Fury is better for Sentry busting since it output way more damage.

Sentries are immune to crits.
I legit did not know Dragon’s Fury shots could be reflected until a few weeks ago.
Even if the enemy Pyro knows this, you’re Ubered and the damage you deal is worth it.
i won't risk one of the pyros being competent enough to reflect all my projectiles, i'll take the guaranteed success of the phlog over the better sentrybusting capability that may or may not come into play
