I still, to this day, call it the ultamite stoner game. I remember back in the early 00s toking up and everything reeking of patchouli while playing this and sipping booze.

    Good times.
Funny thing is, most people of my generation agree as much.

PSX and SNES are highly related, hardware wise. Sony made both.

In case you're serious: the PS1's native resolution wasn't that different from the previous gen's systems. Though it also featured a higher res mode that could manage 480p vertical res for games that could afford to cut back on visual complexity and poly count otherwise.

        Anonymous

        wasnt it 480i though?

that game runs at 320x240 like most of the 5th gen

There are like 3 easy jumps you have to make. I don't know why people go on about that.

      Anonymous

Not even bad. The game started to get good at the final level. Needing to scale the wall then go upside down in the building was fun. There should have been more interesting instances in navigation in Ghost in the Shell. Simply put, if you can beat the third mission "Firecracker" you pretty much beat the game.

Yeah any gal would fall for that awesome intro and the general cyberpunk vibe of the game, but the actual game is too male-oriented with lots of need for spatial awareness

          Anonymous

          It's not the spatial awareness that's male-oriented.
Girls played tomb raider which still filters le dark souls veterans.

TR doesn't require precise quick reaction, it's a more slow-paced game, same reason why Resident Evil is able to be gfcore aswell, or 3D Zelda.
GITS is a fast-paced 3D shooter with platforming, forward and reverse movement and crazy wall/ceiling strafing, it filters the female brain like noone's business.

Do you have anything new to write about it? Personally I think it could use a PC release and a sequel.

Capcom si japanese, unless there's some capcom usa developed game

Excellent audio and visuals. Must be the same engine they used for Ape Escape and Jumping Flash.

Jumping Flash yes, same devs. Notice the GUI si very similar, same with their older game, Geograph Seal.
Not sure if any of the ex-Exact guys worked on Ape Escape but I think not

You can play the PS2 game to play as Motoko. completely different but also good and the SAC writers were involved. It's a third person shooter with a lot of aerobics. There's also a different game under the same name for PSP that was an FPS where you also controlled the major

Eh, I'd say they are medium difficulty. That 2nd stage boss used to always frick me up, until I finally properly learned what to do exactly.
There's a few others that are also quite intense, like those that are 2 mechs attacking at the same time in one of the later levels.
I can see how they can filter people.
