It was more an issue with the cable attached to the 4090, not the 4090 itself. Pretty sure if its the newer one it won't split off into 3 bits, and you should be fine. Honestly I'd be more concerned about the weight causing GPU sag, how are you mounting this bad boy?
That's the new standard right? Then yeah shouldn't have issues, since it has 12VHPWR. Still make sure to fully click it inside the GPU, lots of the errors weren't faulty cables but user error
Nta but main reason to buy something like this other than 4k is for proper future proofing, even if it might be excessive now. I truly do think the 4090 alone will last a generation more in the future than any other card on the market, and even in like 7 years it'll still hold up nicely. If anon didn't buy it overpriced and at MSRP, I'd say its worth it.
thanks anons
you gave me some hope i wont have any problems

also is nvidia rma better than asus msi chink shit?
>also is nvidia rma better than asus msi chink shit?
Honestly don't know, never bought an FE card and don't know anybody personally who has. Also iirc the main controversies Asus has been getting in has been over mobos not GPUs
People were always buying the top-end cards and justifying it with "yeah, it's expensive... but I'm going for future-proofing!". That's what 1080Ti buyers said in 2017 when it came out... up until the 2080Ti came out just ONE year later. Then you have the 3xxx future-proof buyers who also got mogged by the 4xxx release. And now you'll get the 4090 buyers like OP who are going to be a little upset when the 5xxx series drop and a $300 5060Ti will mog his fUtUrE pRoOf 4090 loud and clear.
poorgay cope
it's much more enjoyable to play something like skyrim on ultra at 4k than medium/low settings on 1080pleb
i played gw2 some years ago and i played it again on my new system at 4k on full settings, doing big zerg battles with all the effects active and no stutter
it's very nice
It's not, it doesnt change anything. Also the most recent games suck ass so it's really not worth the upgrade. Better buy a switch (has games) or a Steam Deck (portable) than a 4000€ rig just to play ESG slop or 15yo games.
I bought a 4080 because sanely priced 4090s were impossible to find for a while.hopefully I didn’t mess up! I’m coming from a 2060 and things look great to me and everything runs at 120FPS on my 1440p monitor
I got a 4080 because the 4090 is 3x the thickness and uses 200 more watts. I don't regret it the purchase but I'd have liked it if it was 400$ cheaper that's for sure.
nobody cares
Good for you anon 🙂
Frick off you c**t
>anon is getting a real modern and quality gaming experience
Good for you, you're among the few elite not holding back gaming.
yeah but still
im just hoping the new batch of 4090 that i ordered is updated and unmeltable
finally catched some stock on nvidia site

and what if i have atx 3 cable for gpu
will i be fine? i ordered dark power 13 pro

sorry for polish
>It was more an issue with the cable attached to the 4090, not the 4090 itself
This is absolutely not true, why do people keep repeating this?
Friend of mine has a 4090, it comes with a foot that holds it up, to prevent the sag
Why tho? You can play everything on 1440p with RX 7600

you can play all the good games in 4k 120fps forever
>future proofing
oh no no no

i kinda hate winter because im always sick as frick

good for you anon, i do hope you live in an area which has low electricity bills because that might become your bigger issue futher down line ...
Are you ready for the dreaded realization that having great graphics doesn't actually make games more fun for you?

i crave blood and gore
i will never buy some handheld pos to play games on
im not a 12 year old
I do hope you live in good enough area where you won't get robbed.
is it safe to assume that when stock is refilled, the new cards are the newer models right?
It is a beast! Enjoy!
That’s a thick guy
Remember when you could have the best consumer grade PC for 2000 bucks
I spent $2700 and I didn’t even get a 4090
I bought a 4080 because sanely priced 4090s were impossible to find for a while.hopefully I didn’t mess up! I’m coming from a 2060 and things look great to me and everything runs at 120FPS on my 1440p monitor

You could achieve the same with a RX 7600 with FSR
I got a 4080 because the 4090 is 3x the thickness and uses 200 more watts. I don't regret it the purchase but I'd have liked it if it was 400$ cheaper that's for sure.
>4090 is 3x the thickness
stop fat shaming gpus you prick
>fe
Oh no no no
Enjoy your jetengine
This
OEM cards have better cooling this generation. I have an ASUS TUF 4080 and it’s whisper quiet and never goes above 40c
>nervous
Because?
melting cables?
