This, been playing it for some hours now and I'm completely gripped. Haven't played a game that I just didn't want to put down as hard as this for a long while.

One thing I felt about the early game is just how nice and respectful of Clive everyone is for his competency and not his nobility. Not having the usual "gets doubted cause he's too young" bullshit was great.
And it's nice to have aristocracy and nobility that seem generally good people, and a peasantry that seems to genuinely love them. As much as I rag on Japanese media in general I can count on them for this kind of humanity that not even their corpos have the heart to completely commercialize yet. Maybe it's just the British voicework.
