There's also a funny gimmick in that promoting the MC makes him unable to enter the throne room making you have to take a detour. The map also changes a lot. Kaga packs so much evens into each map. It takes hours to do. It's actually pretty nice compared to the usual barebones fire emblem maps
>Thracia/Genealogy or Kaga Saga
literally the same thing. I think Tear Ring Saga is pretty easy to get into it's a PS1 game. You could also try mystery of the emblem on the SNES. He also made that.
>story- the cowardly commander of an imperial force is now running as a fugitive, stuck in a castle that has historically spelled doom, main character just needs to finish the job
>gameplay- multi-hour struggle, infinite reinforcements, boss has stats capped out the ass, 500 locked doors, wyverns coming in if you take too long, harder than the fricking demon dragon
Is pic related a reference to tear ring saga where you let the enemy capture one of your pegasus fliers and sold into slavery so you can recruit her as a dancer later on once you rescue her?
>That happens in Tear Ring too?
Yup. I think it's the only way to get a dancer IIRC >In Vestaria, if you allow some pirates to capture a knight, she escapes and comes back as a "silken knight".
I remember this. I guess Kaga just likes that stuff
Is this one of those moronic nip """""strategy"""" games where the enemy troops just stand there like statues and watch you slowly gang up and kill them one by one?
>1st floor guys - THE ENEMY HAS BREACHED THE GATES, WE'RE UNDER ATTACK >2nd floor guys - Eh, frick the 1st floor guys, I'm not moving until the enemy is on the 2nd floor
as a kagachad i really wanted to enjoy vestaria saga but it somehow doesn't feel good to play. i really, honestly don't mind the basic assets, i just feel overloaded by like map 5. i hate to compare it to fates because this game's cool and fates is awful, but there's a lot to keep track of and the menus/ui don't make it less nauseating to manage. the way the messages sequence during the story segments is somehow sickening too, and it's not paced well
Isn't this more or less Thracia's final map?
it's crazier
Yeah I've seen the write up, tons of dick reinforcements, right?

but it can be overwhelming since the first game only lets you save every five turns like Berwick Saga unlike the second which lets you save every turn
Should I play Thracia/Genealogy or Kaga Saga? I only liked GBA emblems and Echoes, but not PoR/RD, other 3DS games or Switch games.

The Kaga Saga games are really slow and overrated, but FE4 and 5 are the peak of the mainline series
>The Kaga Saga games are really slow and overrated, but FE4 and 5
those are kaga games
Not all Kaga games are Kaga Saga games, anon.
Kaga Saga is Tear Ring Saga, Berwick Saga, and Vestaria Saga 1&2, not Kaga's FE games.

Kaga, what the frick.

That happens in Tear Ring too?
Lmao.
In Vestaria, if you allow some pirates to capture a knight, she escapes and comes back as a "silken knight".

weird map design
Got a good or great example for 16 bit rpg maps?

it's a puzzle game.
I'm also trying to figure out map 5. I'm the type of the guy that tries to keep everyone alive
I just beat chapter five and managed to get most of the stuff in the map. I will admit I got lucky by dodging attacks that would have hit me
