It's a marvelous game to sit down and relax, the OST is good for meditation, the gameplay isn't complex, the AI is pretty dumb, building a village is comfy, and casting fireballs, hurricanes and earthquake is fun.
managed to play 1v1 multiplayer with a friend only once and it was one of the most fun I had playing rts
Yeah I remember doing it and having to call my friends to figure out how we could get it working. With the internet disconnecting each time we called.
Is the PlayStation port any good? Thinking about loading it onto my vita.
It's okay, I liked the narrator but the graphics look way worse

I bought a third party memory card just for this game, good times.
I can't imagine playing a RTS on vita, it would be awful. The controls in populous are already clunky.
I remember people freaked out because it wasn't actually a god game but a rts one. For me, it's better than the other populous.
Still has an online multiplayer community with elo rankings and everything.

Yeah I watched some videos of high elo games and they are so fast. The base game doesn't have much in the way of hotkeys and shortcuts so it's a ton of manual clicking and micromanaging braves. I just got this on gog and I want to try the multiverse launcher and some mods, it's like a whole new game.
