Who gives a shit, he's the Kojimbo of action games, got too big to be reigned in by his tard guards and fails to execute effectively on any of his ideas.
He was at his best when there were people around to filter the moronic shit out as much as possible.
>He was at his best when there were people around to filter the moronic shit out as much as possible.
How do you know? And when was that?
Not him but people around him really disliked the way he wanted Bayonetta to sound like a moron so that's how we got the Bayo we love. He said it himself that Mikami taught him to focus on making the positives more positive instead of making the negatives less negative so he might benefit a lot from honest critiques.
I see. However I can't see how he "got too big to be reigned in" since he doesn't fully dedicate himself to a game since forever, just helped here and there
Yeah I don't agree with that either, he sounds like an obnoxious butthole on twitter but he's actually very chill and humble in every interview I ever watched or read. I hope he'll find a place where he can direct games instead of supervising.
DMC literally was made because Mikami was keeping watch over him, because originally he almost raped Resident Evil in the ass.
>Mikami was keeping watch over him
Explains why Leon of RE4 is basically Dante when you think about it.
FPBP
hopefully he's up to hanging himself for being a fraud
Resident Evil: Revengeance featuring Ada Wong
He's probably going to Netease like every other jap developer who left recently
What's special about Netease?
money
Nothing, just lets them coast on money and make shitty mobile games.
>Moving goalposts
We accept your concession.
>concession
Yeah, but that game is the exception that confirms the rule.
bald manlet cuck
Sent his resume to Monolith Soft last week
If he ever ends up directing a game with Takahashi and Saga on the story then I sure hope they'll let us skip every single fricking dialogue and cutscene from the start.
That's already an option in the XB games.
>he's planning something big with Capcom.
GOD, PLEASE
Please no. He had nothing to do with the original, and I doubt he'd stick with the original control scheme for being "too slow" or some bullshit like that.
Kamiya and Mikami have something going on with their games, Mikami directed RE1, Kamiya followed with RE2, then Mikami directed RE4 featuring Leon from Kamiya's game (Kamiya even put a small easter egg in Bayonetta where Rodin quotes the merchant from RE4 and says he heard that in a game once), it would be fun if Kamiya actually directed a God Hand sequel in the future to keep the chain going.
I doubt Capcom wants to do anything with him, maybe keep him as an idea guy and take his projects to better directors for the second game.
So how long until the next game? I hope Platinum doesn't cancel GG, that would be a way to cope even if it's shit.
It would be better to cancel it than release it honestly. Why would you want to release a shit game? Especially a game that wasn't directed by Kamiya which means there won't be any fanboys who are going to defend that shit and make cope videos about it.
I'd rather play the shittiest game from Platinum than the average game that is considered great by most players, they still end up being decent game and Kamiya probably played a huge part in it even if the plans changed after a while
>I'd rather play the shittiest game from Platinum
Have you played Babylon's Fall?
The shittiest game that is not an mmo
>I'd rather play the shittiest game from Platinum
Go play wonderful 101
what's the point of this image
Example of a Kamiya fanboy explaining why Kamiya's bad games are actually good.
Kamiya's games are great doe
Calm down, DMCuck.
I like Bayonetta more than most DMC games. But W101 is just awful, it's kind of "soulful" but worse than every Bayo 1/2 and all the other DMC games except 2.
filtered
Nah. W101 has more tools to combo with than most of those games
LMAO, every single one of those tools has a single move except the sword.
Can't wait to hear Matt's cope about all this PG news
finish to watch the video that you start, anon
I hated Wonderful 101, i didn't know it was essentially an score attack game. You cant lose, you just press continue every time you die and keep going. Theres no real game over.
I wish he do something different, RE2 was great, why doesnt he do a horror game again.
>I press continue and... the game lets me continue????
Of all complaints I've seen about W101 this is the most moronic
That Anon is complaining that you're not punished when you lose, moron.
But you already knew that and you're just being a disingenuous homosexual because all Kamiya wiener suckers are like that.
Verification NOT required.
Then restart the level when you die.
This. Its not a regular action game, its really a score attack game. There is no loss of progress for losing, even in boss fights you just press continue until you win
The game has no game over. There is no real game over, you press continue and continue right from where you stopped with half a life bar or something, not at a checkpoint, right where stopped. You can just spam continues no problem.
>its a score attack game
Yes? Have you actually tried getting plats?
No, causei dont caare about scre attack. I wanted an action game with a single player camping, if i knew it was a score attack game i wouldnt have bought it.
>no real game over
>not punished when you lose
>no loss of progress for losing
It's a score attack game with a carefully designed rank system, you're not shooting for the highest number but for the platinum and pure platinum awards. If you die even once you can't get platinum anymore and you have to start the entire mission from the start to get another chance. If you need progress loss to feel motivated to get good then these games are not for you, there's no point, they're not adventure games, go play Dark Souls if that's what you're looking for a no one will judge you

At no point was it sold like this, none of other Kamiya games are like this. All of them had elements of score attack, or ranking but they were very much optional or extras. The progression was part of the game and it had proper game overs and checkpoints.
>If you need progress loss to feel motivated to get good then these games are not for you, there's no point, they're not adventure games, go play Dark Souls if that's what you're looking for a no one will judge you
RE2 has campaign progressions
DMC has campaign progressions
Bayonetta as campaign progressions
You obviously dont know what you are talking about. What we have here is a score attack game that was sold as an action game.
I don't fricking care what the game was sold as, do you seriously play any of the ones you listed for their moronic story? They're meant to be replayed to get the highest rank, and you can't get the highest rank if you die regardless of progress loss. Bayo 3 letting us choose individual verses was a blessing, I wouldn't mind an ultra hard mode with progress loss but who the frick cares when the whole point is to get good at the game until you wipe the floor with your enemies by doing crazy shit?
Yes, i play campaign games for the campaign as do most people. You are the very much in the wrong here anon.
Hard disagree, I bet most people would complain about progress loss in Wonderful 101 during their first playthrough because they had no idea how to defeat enemy X and Y and they would feel that having to start over from a distant checkpoint is unfair. Maybe some people really enjoyed having to restart the entire Nelo Angelo mission just to get obliterated by him but since you're talking about most people here's what they actually want, Marika's stakes in Elden Ring. Ultimately it doesn't matter in a game that wants you to get good at a complex but rewarding combat system (which Elden Ring hasn't)
>matthew autismo slop
I'd sooner expect him to end up at Tango Gameworks.
I'd expect that if Mikami still worked there, but he left to. Mikami's probably retiring now but I wouldn't be shocked if he and Kamiya link up for one final project together, either at a new startup or at Capcom.
dumb fricking idiot piece of shit
He's not going back to an ESG company like cuckcom
Thinking Kamiya will go back to Capcom is peak moronation
since kamiya is gone does that mean we might actually get a bayonetta game that's an real action game instead of 40% action 60% minigames?
Maybe, but the action part will be even worse than 2 and 3 without him around
He is making the next big J-ACTION game.
Japan play task simulator resource gathering mobile games that play themselves
Mikami just travels around rural Japan like it's the last day of his life, why do you expect from Kamiya something different? Kojima made DS just as exuse for partying with Hollywood stars
He’s retiring soon I bet, then he can enjoy his true calling blocking “insects” on Twitter like a schizo. He’s past his glory days anyway, so nothing is really lost. Bayonetta 3 being your last major game is a fricking joke though
Hopefully roping. He’s a fricking pseud.
Why does Kamiya make nu-Ganker seethe so much? Zoomers too shit to get pure platinums?
he never recovered from scalebound and has been hands off ever since, only serving as 'advisory' roles in games. shame too, because he probably has some cool games still in him.
Let's Rock Baby
