Shizune pre-alpha is the best route in the game. Full stop. Anyone that has played it tends to agree. They butchered it for the final release because it was "too dark." The original Shizune route is a solid mind-rape.

Drills throws herself in front of a car. Shizune blames herself because she finds her diary talking about how she's wet for Shizune and thinks she could have gotten in her panties if Shizune wasn't def. It was her whole motivation for learning sign language and shit. The route is about Hisao helping Shizune come to terms with Misha's suicide not being her fault. It is a really good read.
That sounds much better than what we got. What a shame.
Yeah the final release one was some afterschool-special tier bullshit. It was fricking ridiculous. The original one was really, really good. The intro into the relationship itself was like 3x longer and Misha loses her shit when Shizune settles on Hisao and it all spirals out of control. There's this 10 minute scene of Misha's inner monologue on the hospital bed before she dies. It was some of the best writing in KS. And they scrapped it.

Not really. It's too extreme and anime cliche for something as realistic as katawa shoujo.
I see it in a way that we dont need to see more. The most important thing in their arc was to get close and understand each other, and they dont really, but they now can start actually talking to each other. They are gonna be fine, Hisao says it himself.
As for me, it destroyed me emotionally. Hanako became my wife for some time.
