>The Purging Stone does not dispel curses, but receives them as a surrogate. The stone itself was once a person or some other being.
same shit just manifests differently
I never noticed a white rat in the game
Dark Souls is my favorite and Froms best work btw. The second half of the game does drop in quality HOWEVER only BoC is a shitty boss. That I weirdly never struggled with... however still shitty. But the rest of the second half are good and the areas aren't that bad. However the first half of the game is literal 10/10 perfection.
Humans have shards of the darksoul
Lord gwyn gifted parts of the lightsoul to individuals which may gas created the race of the gods as a whole
The witch of izalith and her daughters got the lifesoul and created the demons
Nito lord of the dead has the death soul which makes skeletons??? He is just not well explained.
So you have all these guys with their souls creating different races everyone without a soul is known as a hollow. But animals exist in the game. Where did they get souls from? The dogs look hollow so you could argue that they have no soul. But rats drop humanity probably because they eat humans but does that make the rat into a human? Also what is going on with the descendents of the dragons. They drop souls but are ther own thing??? I am so confused when i try to make sense of animals in darksouls
I got the interpretation that the souls they drop are souls they've gotten from killing, sort of like the player collects souls to power up, the monsters get larger and stronger from consuming souls.
WHAT IS A RAT?
A MISERABLE LITTLE PILE OF SECRETS
He was carrying it around in his ratsack.
Humanity can be eaten, yes
What do you think hollows hunt for?
RRAT
Ogay
it's a reference to the philosophical concept of life being a "rat race" you fricking philistine
This is neat and i've never thought of it before
oh frick off
lmao nice troll. Its because rats feed on the dead bodies dumped around
okay explain why man-eating clams don't drop 'amenities then, kid
Why do you think they have purging stones?
so you can farm them up if before fighting a curse inducing boss

I always thought that was a nice metaphor. DS1 is by far the smartest game From ever made
