Killing Floor

Thoughts on the game? I think it's aged a lot better than most Co-op PvE Horde shooter games. I've yet to find a game that's able to scratch that KF itch.

Anyone up for some Killing Floor?

KF1 is a pretty unique game. The low-budget voice actors, the gritty and dark atmosphere, the dirty and abandoned, grim western feel of it all, the unique and fun maps, the gameplay, the sublime music... it really is quite the perfect game in my eyes. The hitboxes are the only thing that keeps this game from being an absolute 10/10.

I play it to this day and I've got my own server (one runs a pseudo-KFMod mutator, and the other one runs ScrN).

What is the server IP? Both sound very comfy, wanna play together?
Send me a friend request on Steam if you wanna play KF together.

Nailed it on the head. The only issue I got with the game are the janky Head hitboxes that seem to wobble left and right for Scrakes and Fleshpounds. Other than that it's a gem no doubt. The guns sound beefy and powerful, the graphics don't look too dated for such an old engine, crisp textures, decent animations for guns. Really diverse perks and filled with kino maps. Tried to like KF2 but ended up hating it.

I'm glad this game has an active but small community.

I play on occasion. Very enjoyable and has aged fairly well (I actual really like the graphics) buy I think that player levels are a bad idea for this game type as it essentially means that the harder difficulties are locked behind hours and hours of grinding, per class.

Also there is little stopping you from wedging the party into a single corner where the zeds are funneled down one or two paths.

It's a shame horde shooters aren't popular anymore because I got thoroughly disgusted by KF2 after putting 200hrs in it and I have absolutely zero hopes for KF3.
I'm so starved I've actually started playing Brainbread 2.

KF2 started out gritty as frick amd it was great. Getting Hell on Earth meant SPECIFIC 6 man builds, strategic camping, counting each bullet ( to the point of knifing wave 1 and 2), and literally having people tactically suicide for the sake of the run.

Around when they added SWAT and doubled ammo was where the game died and became piss easy.

I love, love, love, LOVE this game. KF2 has nothing on this one.

Killing Floor 1 is the video game that led to a relationship that lasted about six months with the best sex I ever had the whole way through, including a MFF threesome. This game has a found place in my heart.

I've started playing it again after resetting my perks and I'm having a blast playing singleplayer, haven't tried the multiplayer because of all the modded garbage you need to download

Most servers I come across are mainly vanilla. What region are you in?
