>Kills Heihachi off
>Every Heihachi main is currently throwing themselves down the volcano Kazuya threw him in to retrieve him
>Harada now has to find a reason to bring him back
>Makes zoomer girl that no one has heard that plays like him
>Is a hit with zoomers and coomers
That's great, now give me back Heihachi.

Why Tekken needs some bullshit storyline that makes popular characters unplayable, I'll never understand. It's like Link not being playable in Smash Bros because he died in the campaign or something, it's idiotic. Storygays must be brought to account.
>Why Tekken needs some bullshit storyline that makes popular characters unplayable
Heihachis VA died so they decided to retire the character.
>Heihachis VA died
So? Just fricking recast his VA.
I don't disagree, I'm just saying that's probably more of a reason then him being dead in the story.
Voice actors are treated differently in Japan, they don’t get recasted right away unlike in America, seiyuus are honored and taken a moment of silence out of respect.
That’s why Phil didn’t speak in KH3 since his JP VA died despite his US one being alive and well (which was was stupidly confusing for western players, he might as well not been in the game at all)
>Voice actors are treated differently in Japan, they don’t get recasted right away
Hes been recast twice and 90% of the cast was replaced by American prostitutes. Frick off.
>they don't get recasted right away
Bulma.
They already did it and he died again.
Just let him retire, the old bastard. He'll come back for tag tournament games.
his VA died twice, he is literally cursed. no one's gonna want to voice him.
Why not just have him as a non-canon DLC fighter? Or maybe as a ghost?
It doesn’t feel right not having Heihachi in Tekken 8 regardless of plot reasons, he’s iconic as hell, it’s like MvC without Wolverine or Smash without Captain Falcon.
That's a nonsensical comparison.
Smash Bros. is a pure crossover game, and whatever story that contains is always deliberately written in a way that doesn't influence the lore of its source material or itself. Smash Bros. games are all disconnected story wise.
The Tekken games are filled with lore and story lines in order to give the characters their character. If you take out storylines and personalities out of a non-crossover fightan, you get a function vs function
game.
Now if you have a blood feud story that spans 7 games, of course it might turn out fatal someday.
>If you take out storylines and personalities out of a non-crossover fightan
Dishonest comparison, you don't have to turn every character into a blank slate or even axe the character stories to stop killing off characters, or even bring back old dead characters (see TT1, TT2, Kasumi)
>The Tekken games are filled with lore and story lines in order to give the characters their character
The Mishima plotline has like 6 characters in it, and tossing it won't affect the rest of the cast. Hell this line is a fricking joke anyway because a character like Drag has 0 lore or story and is one of the most well-liked characters in the franchise
I hope that by the time I'm old I have enough hair to pull off a Heihachi
goddamn what a sick way to bald
He'll be back in Tekken Tag Tournament 3 and no sooner. And you'll wish they never brought him back.
>you no longer need to KBD, bro. regular backdashing just works better now!
regular backdashing works better now, it's good enough for the majority of players
KBDs are for autists who want to keep playing 7 instead of respecting Harada's vision and pressing forward for once in their life
People would press forward more often if juggles were nerfed. Remove corkscrew and limit juggles to 25% / 33% with wall and no way to wall reset, people will play more aggressively.
>pressing forward for once in their life
When you press back you block, when you press forward you don't. It's assymetrical. To make forward work it should make block to. Imagine dashing forward when you still blocking. This is how you make forward button work.
He was my main since Soul Calibur 2 on PS2. I just play Devil Jin now
HEIHACHI IS COMPRETRY DEAED
I’m fine with them replacing him I just wish his daughter wasn’t pure cringe
They killed him off because the role keeps killing people. Nobody gonna voice that shit. Heihachi is cool and I like playing him too, but we gonna have to settle.
Nina was recast since nu tekken and plenty of others have been recast as well. Dont act like Bamco is respectful of anything now. STFU pedowood troony.
I think it's fine, I like when games give character deaths weight. He'll be back in TxSF or Tag3, but probably still absent in 9.
Just make secret Heihachi student that inherited his moveset or make Heihachi Combot or Mokujin
Hey Hachi will be an S2 character
i just switched to devil jin. but yeah i hope they bring him back, it's not the same without him. just do a "he's dead in the lore but here he is anyway" character like kazumi. if they're that stubborn then robohachi or another one of his random spawns inherits his function and hair.
The Heihachi role is cursed anon, they are too afraid to let anyone else voice him.
COMPRETERY
Reina isn’t a Heihachi replacement. Aside from sharing some moves with him she plays completely differently. You would know this if you actually played Tekken.
>Makes zoomer girl that no one has heard that plays like him
You're delusional, Reina plays nothing like Heihachi.
>hellsweep goes into a free standing 50/50 instead of being a 50/50 itself with no followup reward
>flash punch doesnt wallsplat
>transitions into a stance 50/50 instead because she's a stance-based 50/50 mixup character
>df1 is loaded with a 50/50 like Jin/Kazuya
>has actual lows
>no demon upper
>no hunting hawk
>no OTGF
>no hashi
Literally what the frick does she share that's unique to Heihachi? A strong stomp and a catch parry? Get the frick out of here
Just make Kuma have the moveset then.
Hei has pretty long kicks, Kuma doesn't (short legs)
Wouldn't work
