Nah. Popularity in the west (and likely in the east to some people who played with the dub) was somewhat impacted by the stupid drama with va, while the series overall suffered from a discohesive plot handling and strange directions chosen.
Yuri dorks are an annoyance only at local areas like some sites, and ultimately they're yet another irrelevancy on the list of mind-broken malfunctions.

I'm fine with the Bayo series being over. It was a miracle that it even got two sequels. Feels like Platinum doesn't know what to do with the series. I prefer Astral Chain getting a sequel as it has more potential and things to do. Hope that gets made for the Switch 2.

Judging how rushed the story is, they seem to have burnt out from Bayonetta.
She was alright, her dorkiness was cute. There was some neat stuff in her kit when you dug into it (though the patch definitely improved things).
Are there really people who think Bayo herself won't come back for 4? In a series that's already had timetravel, multiverses, and characters just getting yoinked out of hell?
