This. There's really no reason for remakes post HGSS. I could argue their validity because the game design (for battles) from gen 1 to 3 and 2 to 4 were quite different, and gen 3 cutting off gen 1/2 from the rest.The only drastic difference gen 3 onwards is the phys/spec split. Everything after that either gets no usage (Triple/Rotation battles), or gets dropped next gen anyways.
