Bought this game on sale since it has a 9/10 rating on steam. Started to play and it's slow and boring. Fight system is awful and feels like Morrowind. Voice acting is pretty weak. MC sounds like some moron from Birmingham or whatever, awful accent especially when the game is set in Bohemia. Does the game get better or keeps dragging on? Is it worth it to continue?

i'm having the same issue. i also struggle with the combat in m&b, but there it's not as apparent because you can just rely on your troops more or less. so far i have only been trying to fight the drunkard and done the combat training, but it doesn't really seem to click, and the text tutorial seems a bit misleading. any tips? judging by the atmosphere, i would really enjoy the game, i just need to *get* the combat somehow.

When the game opens up there will ne a guy you can spar with. You need to spend like an in game week just sparring with him to raise your stats enough to be good at fighting. If you can't be bothered you're best either being stealthy or just running from combat.

no he loses when you apply a bruise status and a bruise status happens at random

Kcd is one of my favorite rpgs of all time and I've got over 300 hours in it, but the criticisms OP presents are heckin valid.
It's eurojank, and all those issues come along with the territory. Once you overcome the jank curve, the game plays beautifully.

I couldn't get into it. I like Gothic so it can't be the fault of the slow start or the shit combat. Maybe I just need some fantasy aspects or maybe I just hate first person

Played for about 25 hours and quit in massive disappointment. Don't have the will to explain everything that was wrong but in essence it's just low quality. Shadows that looked like chainsaws, falling through terrain (and losing progress) npcs bugging and spazzing around in the back while you are talking with another NPC and the worst offender was the mission I was sent to scout by Radzig, I enter the camp at night with 12 fricking stealth wearing all black with my noise level at 0 (I did a lot of stealing beforehand so my stealth was abnormally high for that early in the game) and I would be seen miles away despite sitting in total darkness with no torch (which also made it extremely painful to navigate).
You know what worked in that mission though? Leeroy Jenkin all the way to the arrows, set them aflame and run the back frick out while you had both Cumans and Outlaws chase you, that obviously is more realistic. Oh and after I did all of that halfway through my ride back home I fell through terrain and died.
Basically there was nothing the game had to offer to make me ignore all of what I just described (and there's more but I forgot most of the garbage it was a long time ago)
Do give it a try maybe you'll have a higher tolerance, for what its worth the game is dirt cheap when on sale.
