KC2 is going to have some serious balance problems.
Henry is already a video game protagonist with hundreds of kills to his name including some of the best duelists in Europe.
Henry's essentially going to have to end up robbed, critically injured, and locked to a new zone right at the start. It'll be like a Metroid game. You lose all your powers after the intro and have to climb back up the levels again as your body regains its strength.
Yeah I really don't know how they're going to handle that. I hope they don't go the whole Witcher amnesia route, but I have no idea how they would handle it. I could see them doing major injury/recovery angle though
I've been advocating that Henry shouldn't be the protag of the sequel for a while now. He should still be a major character, and the story can still basically be the continuation of his, but a different character should get wrapped up in it and be the protagonist of the sequel so you get to start from scratch again, without nerfing Henry.
KCD reminds me of Shenmue in some ways. High attention to detail mixed with life sim stuff. Even the stories are similar when it comes to their fathers.
The game was pretty shit overall but it was charming in some ways. The story revolving around Henry showing up everywhere and all of the characters being astonished that he’s still sticking around and bothering everyone was funny.
Technically, you can level strength and agility pretty damn high with Theresa and go around bashing Cuman skulls in with a mace.
But that's just as cheesy as killing all the Cumans in the prologue. The developers don't stop you from doing it, but you have to seriously go out of your way to make it possible.
Take the hunger drawback. Getting hungry more often is actually really useful because it lets you drink more potions. The bleeding drawback is another good one since when the frick are you ever going to care about bleeding?

Of course if you just want to get some gear and go then look up the treasure locations and sell everything for a quick early game boost. Some general advice though: >get the instant flower picking mod >get the mod that makes clothes stay clean longer
Any other mods you recommend? I played back when it released but never finished the game cause I got filtered by the monastery. Yes, I know. Call me a moron. But I just couldnt figure out how to finish that shit and it burned me out

The developers explained that they wanted to include them in the game but there were serious optimization issues. They acknowledged that in many families the children outnumbered the adults. They also recognized that if they had included children they would have had to deal with the difficult question of whether or not you'd be able to kill them.
Given that this is a sequel with presumably better optimization and running on next gen hardware, we may actually see children in the game this time around.

The forced discussion point about putting black individuals in around the time of release was baffling to see as someone with a decent appreciation of history, european and otherwise. What does black even mean to certain people at this point, there is a difference between sub-saharan, north-african, and the shade of brown you see in the middle east. I see few of those groups as making sense to appear in a landlocked european country at that time. And I say this as a bonafide Black.
