KH3's combat is shit compared to 2's, get the frick out of my face. All you need to know about KH3's combat/the game in general can be found by simply timing how long it takes for the jumping animation to transition into the landing animation when a player falls and touches the ground.
KH3RM has a great combat system and fantastic boss fights and you can't prove me wrong. Any and all attempts at doing so will only solidify this universal truth and will expose you as a massive coping, seething, sneeding, dilating troony.

I realized this years later but at the time whenever I did this boss fight I was pressing buttons like a motherfricker the entire duration of this section. Actually fricked up my hand for a day or two after once.
When I played this I didn't realize it was a double-button reaction command and just mashed triangle, so the animation showed Riku parrying everything while Sora gets lasered to hell.
sora and riku coming back together to beat the villain together was peak kino
it's pretty much naruto with sasuke and him teaming up at the end, but better executed

In FM it's great, because when he comes back as a boss he's arguably one of, if not THE, best fight in the game and it emphasizes his struggle to come back. In OG it sucks because it's just a cutscene where you watch him lose to Sora which just twists the knife.
It's also a fight that kicks your ass in FM the first time, especially if you aren't fully aware about it. Plus being able to steal his keyblades and use them for limit form is still unironically one of the coolest things the game lets you do to a boss.
