Near invisible enemies in the fog and giggling curse pots were pretty unnerving.
Souls games need more chilly vibe areas and not just le epic setpieces.
They copied some parts of it in Sekiro and Elden Ring although made it worse.
the difference is elden ring's shit parts were completed and just shit in and of itself. shaded woods is obviously unfinished, looks like dogshit compared to the rest of the game, the boss is a DS1 reskin, and is a minor sour point in an otherwise fantastic game.
>spend 30 minutes trekking through bullshit “blizzard” >have to fight off obnoxious deer >finally get to boss room >it’s just the stupid tiger again >immediately die in one hit and have to restart process all over
this is not true. Most enemies can easily be ran past in the examples you provided, deers will chase you to the end of the earth and are faster than you.
The textures are so bad in DS2. Almost as if they were meant to be masked by a lighting system that was scrapped during development when they realised the current consoles couldn't run it.
green chads stay winning
This masterpiece deserves a remake
Yeah, hopefully so they can make it not complete shit.
>DS2 has great nonlinearity but is a janky mess
>DS3 is way more polished but turbolinear
Tragic really
They put in a skip and then ruined it by arbitrarily locking the archives until you mostly beat the game
I like how the key just appears right outside the door when you fulfilled the criteria. Bravo, From.
What was the point of this area? Should have just been cut. I remember nothing good about this area and the boss was shit.
unfinished content i guess. i liked the area, was disappointed at how small it is. same with tseldora

With that logic two thirds of ER wouldn't exist and normies wouldn't have bought it.

>elden ring
>completed
99% of the game is soldier zombies and trolls
and? that was intended as part of their vision, it's a finished product that wasn't rushed at all. take it or leave it.
>it's a finished product that wasn't rushed at all
? thats a miyazaki game
Brain damage take
It had a cool lion cloak. Mabye it even had two. I remember farming it for hours
Frigid Outskirts

welcome to souls games?
sif, o&s, seath, nito, bed of chaos, gwyn etc have just as shit runbacks

lol git gud
I never had issues on the runback, but then again I didn't have to do it often
DS2sisters have been taking the L all fricking day.
I don't see how Elden Ringworms trying to distract from their 90% playerbase loss is in any way winning.
I love N64 Woods
