Revenge of the King is the only half-decent one for being a reference to DL1's Extra Mode and bringing back Kaboola. The new arenas are nothing but filler (plus they nerfed all the fun out of the original), and Meta Knight is mindless boredom because nothing can actually challenge him. At least he had half-health in NiDL to counterbalance his overpoweredness.

He's not wrong. It's kind of a shitty deal that the inputs can't be customized. I'm personally not fond of SSU because of how sluggish certain weapons and attacks got, the sword doesn't feel very good to use.
Completely valid. I myself prefer the original probably more nostalgia but for anon to say the remake is garbage rehash is factually wrong. It done a lot of things right even if it did stumble in places
I will never understand this games popularity. I don't even consider it a game, it's a compilation of smaller games. Dream land 3 was the proper SNES Kirby game. And Kirby 64 is the peak of the series anyway.

This feels like a holdover of when they almost went with yellow, a gender-neutral color, but it's pink, a decidedly feminine one. I always thought they were going for "real men wear pink" too. Funny enough, with Gooey, I thought they were going for a "pink boy/blue girl" dynamic, but Gooey's a dude. You could've made Kirby a pink girl and it wouldn't change anything.

I should add that I don't think SSU is garbage, not even close. But I ultimately prefer the original SNES version for its snappier gameplay.

My big issue with Ultra is that they replace the cute in-game pixel art cutscenes with FMVs...other than that I can accept it's better.
imo they're different enough to have and play both. it's got fantastic replayability anyway.
GBA music is such trash in comparison, they sound like shitty MP3s of the SNES, very unfortunate. very few games do it well.
The music is one of the best parts of the game and it sounds like shitty compressed garbage in the port.
I couldn't believe the quality of the music coming out of the SNES when I played this game for the first time.

SSE's gameplay is hot garbage.
Smash is a fighting-platformer hybrid, but more leaned toward the fighting. Still, SSE works pretty well. It's basically Great Cave Offensive.
