Someone in the forums said you should already have her at A2 if you got every possible coin so far, but I'm pretty sure I did and I'm 150 coins away from my second memory. And either way I don't see where we're gonna get another 5000 coins before the collab ends, unless they gift us a bunch.

I went to pity three times on each character banner, for a total of 1200 individual rolls, and I rolled a collab fighter seven times (used two of my selectors as of this screenshot). That's just under 0.6% success rate if my math is correct, on banners where there's a 1.2% chance of getting a collab fighter, so I guess I got pretty unlucky. Got pretty lucky with the cards though.

The first time I went to pity on the first banner I only got one character and used the selector to get the other one (don't remember which was which). Then the same exact thing happened in the second banner. Then I waited until this final week to roll more in case they gave us more tickets or something.
I just got lucky and rolled another Mi-Na with my weekly rubies. This allowed me to A4 her with the two tickets I was holding onto (good thing I hadn't used one of them to get another Ivy, this is why you wait until the very end), which got me the token reward from her codex entry, which allowed me to craft another moon imprint stone, so now she has a full set and 300k+ CP.

Isn't that kinda low? I've got Ivy to A3 without moon/star stones and only one special card and she has 270k CP.
I need to get more catsuit Ivy memories, but I can't be assed to play Dream Match.
She goes up to 376k if I give her my cards that are transcended almost to max (had these on my A6 Catsuit Ivy before and they take her to just over 400k). Also I put some of her EX core points on skills instead of stats, maybe that's a mistake? Also my fame buffs are 10 HP/15 ATT/11 DEF/10 PEN for all elements. I don't know what else I could possibly do to make her stronger.
If you replace the option card with Cassandra on it ("An Omen That Must Not Come True") with the one that has the Soul Calibur on it ("Spirit Sword With a Will of Its Own"), assuming you have it, you can get another big CP boost.
I'm kinda new to the game how did you get a characters cp that high.
My Ivy is only around 90k a3 with stones and base banner setcards since I'm unlucky and wasn't able to pull a full set from the sc banner.
Look at option cards that raise Crit Rate. These are the ones that inflate CP numbers, aside from the ones that have flat CP increase in their description.
So how does ex core board work?
You get more points the more you awaken the character, and you just put them wherever you want.
These massively bloated CP counts are mainly a consequence of cards that literally have "adds 15k CP" as an effect instead adding an actual skill or improving a stat.
Although 90k is low for A3. Make sure you've opened all her cores and fed her HP/ATT/DEF capsules to her limit in the level up screen.
Yeah it's most likely my shitty setcards causing low cp because I already opened all her cores and used as many capsules as it would let me.
Since Rugal, all the banner sets have been more or less interchangeable, only differencing from what type/color they buff so you can just wait for a set that buffs blue types/women/balance to boost your Ivy

Bit late but I've spent 68k-ish rubies in this collab (I've been hoarding since SFV). I'm pretty happy because I wanted Taki the most, but I regret trying to roll in the last day for Cassandra because I was not patient enough to hold my selector tickets (used all on Taki), and now I have 2 extra Taki memories laying around.
I could've walked with an A5 Cass too if I wasn't a moron. Now I just hope the next EX isn't Vanessa or Leona so I can hoard for a while again for them or another collab that I like.

I stopped playing this game for months and only came back 4 days before the event ended.
I got lucky again on my very last pull with the rubies I scrounged today and rolled one more Taki which allowed me to A4 and get one more star imprint stone. This means I couldn't spare the selectors for Cassandra so she stays unawakened, but I figured the stone was worth it.
Maybe they secretly boost the rates near the end to reward last minute purchases.
I hate not having characters i like but I also really really need setcards so I would hate to decide between pulling for multiple sets of good cards or characters I like.

I've cleared everything with normal Ivy at A3 with 260k CP. And later beat lvl 50 Hobo boss and last challenge tower with maxed out Catsuit Ivy. It's not even CP that was the deciding factor, but her moronic Darkness damage output.

If you didn't get EX to A5, then no. Dimensional invites don't work on EX chars and the only thing that you can farm for them is using EX chars on dispatch missions to get shards and craft their special memory to go A6 and then another for A7.

People have been begging Netmarble to add a generic EX memory type pretty much since EX fighters were introduced back in the SF collab. It will probably happen eventually but they're being very stubborn about it. I'm pretty sure generic BS and SS memories came a lot faster.

They probably designed this Hotaru for something else that didn't happen and just had her sitting around, so they figured they'd throw her in to tide us over until the next banner. They could at least have made the stones work for Gato as well to add some perceived value and correct the mistake of releasing him without stones that he can actually use, since his codex gave EX stones instead.
I ended up buying the circle stone before I realized that the boxes can drop tickets. Though I guess the likelihood of getting tickets out of the boxes and then getting EX drops out of the tickets on top that is probably insanely small.
Iori is just a reskin of his SS version.

Shunei is a green BAL. Decreases cooldown on his skills with any basic attack and also debuffs enemy's DEF. Immune to Burn, Chill, Freeze. Becomes immune to damage and gets regen when his HP hits 30%. Has Shield whenn his HP hits 50%. Buffs his own ATK with every landed hit up to 75%.
1 applies Burn and decreases critrate and DEF. Bonus DMG against Chilled targets. Also basic attack DMG.
2 applies Chill and decreases attack and movement speed. Bonus DMG against Burned targets. Same increase of basic attack DMG.
3 has HA, increases critrate and ATK.
All three skills can be used under attack.
Core finisher buffs ATK for the whole team.
XV Iori is a red ATK. Decreases his finisher cooldown with every landed skill. Deals fullscreen damage with every attack if applied Darkness beforehand. Immune to Burn, Darkness, Fear. Gains damage immunity when his HP hits 30% and a Shield when his HP hits 80%.
1 is a chargeable move. Applies fullscreen Fear at the start of the charge. Non-charged version deals Darkness, buffs ATK. Fully charged increases ATK even further and applies heavier Darkness debuff.
2 is a grab. Applies Burn. 90% chance to reset cooldown on 1 upon landing 2. Increases critrate for the 90%.
3 has HA, increases critrate, same chance to reset cooldown on 1. In PVP has a chance to remove HA and Shield from the enemy.
1 and 3 can be used under attack.
Gacha option card works on any EX fighter. Increases critrate, so inflates CP.
Gacha set is another Quick Mode set that works on any EX fighter. Increases ATK and Penetration upon using awakening.
Rush dungeon set works on all versions of Iori, Shermie, Hotaru and Athena. Increases Burn, Chill and Darkness DMG and also ATK when you land any skill.
Shunei's 1 and 2 can be used for some moronic damage with his basic combo. Especially with awakening and this Quick Mode set.
Iori is a complete filler if you've got free Ivy from the collab.

This happens every release, it stopped being surprising a long time ago.
The funniest thing is that it's solved content so it doesn't even matter at all.
Why can't they just make new modes that are fun so we can use the powercreep for something actually meaningful?
They've done harder content like Deimos Base and Boss Showdown, but everyone complained those were too hard. It's difficult to strike a balance. The top floors of Tower of Trials are pretty crazy, I'm still stuck at floor 100.
In general A3 is enough since it unlocks all of the imprint stone slots. Awakening further pretty much just gives you more CP, which can be important since that's the main way they gatekeep content, but these overpowered EX characters already get crazy high CP at A3 with the right cards and stones.

The power creep is so out of control that A5 a unit is mainly for min-maxing. With A3 the new units are strong enough to tackle all the content currently available in the game.

More hard immunities against one element and weaknesses against others. As long as they don't make enemies outright immune to normal non-elemental damage SC6 and Shun'ei will shit on them. And if they take SC6 and Shun as the baseline, then everyone from the roster need a huge rework to keep up.
Of course they won't redo like 80% of the game.
"New growth system" sounds really sus, like they're gonna add yet another fricking meter to fill out in the fighters on top of limit breaks, levels, awakening, cores, cards and stones. And they'll try to make it seem more meaningful by making whatever item is required for it take a really long time to get. That's the pessimistic view though, we'll see.

I don't understand what do you need to do to break through Dark Ash ultra armor in this new veteran TA? I've killed him afer 3:40 on the clock, but I didn't even see what exactly it was that gone through him.
He just stops taking damage randomly, I don't understand either. I still managed to get 1:12 using my level 90 Shun'ei with no special card, just a Rugal set on him pretty much. If I kept trying maybe I could get the SS, I guess you just have to avoid getting stunned and keep attacking so you can damage him when the game decides you're allowed to. But I didn't wanna waste any more of my life on it.
By the way it's just depressing that a Shun'ei with absolutely no resources put into him is still so much stronger than fully maxed out A7 SS/BS fighters like classic Hwoa and Nameless, but I guess that's the meta.
He becomes immune to damage as along there are mooks in the field. You have to kill them first before he takes damage again.

I have Leona at A3 and she does less Damage than Banner Cass also at A3. I wonder if there is something to improve her damage or if she's underwhelming unless she's at A5.
Her pre-A5 awakening skill stats are nothing outstanding, comparing to recent additions. But with this skill she shits out damage fast. Her normal 1 also has shitty arc that is so high that it misses most characters if they're too close.
Well, that sucks. I can probably go through another pity in the remaining time but chances are a collab will happen in the next month or two so I will save my rubies.

I'm stuck on floor 29 of the event tower, run out of time on the third fat guy with infinite armor and a bajillion HP. All I have is an awakened Luong, didn't get her special card, didn't get Leona and I don't want to spend rubies on this banner. Is there anything I can do that's better than this?

How? Her CP should be in the 50-60 range max at this level and you get completely damage gated with this CP at around 20th floor.
Shun could clear his tower at lvl 90 but I'm afraid Luong needs her card to pull it off.
Nah, with the Rugal set she gets to around 100k. Also I got lucky and rolled +crit rate for attack types as the transcend effect on that Kasumi option card, that card alone gives her like 10k. It's not quite enough though, those fat bastards just take too long to kill. If I get lucky with the cooldown resets on her skill 2 I can get through faster, I made it to the boss in an attempt just now, but only had 6 seconds left and lost. I was kinda hoping there was something I was overlooking to make this just a bit easier, but I guess not.
I had the same situation with Shun'ei last month, unawakened with no special card and no Iori, and he chewed through the tower like it was nothing. Really makes Luong look like a shitter.

It's not dying per se. Just went into "ridiculous powercreep" phase. Like 90% of the roster is left behind. Every collab and almost every EX fighter release is one-upping the previous ones. There are always fatalists saying the game is dying, but it doesn't actually show any signs of dying. It's still consistently getting new content at the same pace it always did. It does feel a bit stagnant by now though, as the devs don't seem to know what to do other than keep pushing the power creep further and further. Maybe this is losing them players, I dunno.

The color of the EX memory can be changed by sacrificing FES memories. Anyway the next tier of characters will probably put the final nail on the coffin on this game. All your EX Damage dealers will be phased out while your EX supports will be somewhat useful, until the eventual Rainbow tier supports come out shitting all over your ex support collection. Characters were getting phased out just by every monthly banner so can you imagine a new tier? That's right these EX fighters are going to be trash in comparsion. Knowing this why would anyone willing to invest in EX characters anymore? Just wait 6 months or less and you'll have saved up for the new rainbow gay units.

Same guy from before, I know understand better what you're talking about, since I have now experienced it myself. My a1 rugal feels weak in comparison to my a1 mai and kula, and I hate it. I really like rugal as a character, but I don't feel the same for the other two. and that sucks. I want to use him in hard content but there is little reason to if mai and kula will net me a higher score. Soon Terry (one fo my other favorites) will probably get an EX, but it will only be a matter of time before he gets powercrept as well. Such a shame.
A good amount of that power is in the equips they have, so you can keep characters relevant a little longer by equipping them with newer sets, option cards, and stones. Not a permanent solution, but it can buy more time.
Yeah. i don't care that much, what i do care about however is the longevity of the game. If they keep this powercreep up the game will die, and as someone that only started playing a month ago, that would be disastrous.
Not them, but doing less damage isn't the problem, at least not the one I have.
The problem is the cards/fighters that have passives that make them nigh-unkillable while my own fighters die instantly if they get breathed on.

Well after a lot of testing in practice mode I managed to muster just over 95B against this fricker. That's probably as good as I'm gonna do.
I tried using my A2 War Maiden Cassandra instead of Leona, wasn't good.
Tried using my A3 SS Iori with five imprint stones instead of Kula (with a Halloween Xiangfei option card on Leona so she can deal both burn and chill), wasn't good.
Unawakened EX Mai is better than A5 SS Mai, sadly.

You need 3.5 TRILLION points over a week, or 500 billion on each daily ticket, to get every single possible cumulative point. If I understand everything correctly, there are 21150 total possible points in the whole event (150 each time you play which is one ticket per day, plus 6000 cumulative per week, for three weeks). You need 18000 points to get every reward, which is not every possible point but it's close. Although the only reward that actually matters is the EX memory which only requires 9000 points, so that's not that crazy. Also they gave us some free points and tickets because of a bug which I guess cuts down on some of the work.
You need 100 shards and five FES memories of the color you want to change the color of the EX Memory

I'm sure Terry is always near the top of their list, but they're kind of out of options for making a new Terry visually appealing. They already went all out with a high quality model for SS Terry and then XV ended up using the same design. They could use the XIV design but I don't think that one very popular, or they could just say frick it and reuse the SS model, but then people will call them lazy. They even already used the Garou design, though that was a really long time ago so if they can make a better model of it, that could maybe work.

Dream match wins are needed again to get free Sara memories. And dream match is still stupidly broken where you don't have enough options to get out of the meat grinders.
my only memory of dream match is fighting some guy with full ex team while I used a mix of nest kyo and gold/silver borders. the guy kept emoting while one shotting me. couldn't even block or dodge the attacks because they did too much damage and had tracking.
Winning just one fight per day shouldn't be that big a deal. I won on my first try with a random team against some guy who had four wins and zero losses, though I may have gotten lucky.
This Sarah is interesting in that it's an actual gacha and not just a bunch of shit with the character only available as the final reward like Sol/Chun/Gato/Cassandra. So it's at least possible to get lucky with it.
The new Rugal special card doesn't seem to be available anywhere, I guess it's gonna be in that Boss Challenge that's not open yet?

I'm a poorgay living in spicland so I play on a ZTE Axon 30, game runs pretty well for the most part but the new Team Relay (Alexandrite, Kim and Sarah) does have some slowdown with all the sfx. Just lowering the graphics quality takes care of it, though

Where do you change how it shows damage numbers on the screen? I've changed it a while ago to full number, but now with damage in tens of billions I want to change it back to commas as number separators and I can't find this option anywhere.

if you're still new I wouldn't stress too much about getting the ex generic memory, it'll only make the game less fun. For now I'd reccomend saving until you have around 54k rubies and try to a5 a character with those, preferably a character with limitless since those are super valuable
Use your A3 character to play the challenge modes. You can get tons of free rubies there.

he stacked a bunch of debuffs on sarah and buffs on himself before switching to iori, who then used concentration, it seems to be the best strategy for this event but required rng to be on your side
I can make that exact team but I can only get like 42 billion. must be a skill issue.
There's two layers of rng that are fricking with your damage because of the mechanics Sarah's blocks and her attack type debuff. On top of that the battle bugs out sometimes and your damage doesn't register when Sarah changes buffs or when you break her guard with a grab or super. Very bullshit mode.
you just gotta keep resetting until rng is on your side. I got 245 billion with Iori A7, Poly Akira, Poly Sarah, Pai Chan, and Luong. As you can see all those character outside of Iori do SHIT damage. They're their to stack def down, damage recieved up and attack buffs for Iori. You just need one nuke character. I might take out one of the poly chars and put in another nuke so i can try to complete this shit. for the kim fight if you have mai or kula this shit is honestly braindead.

I tried doing exactly that except I don't have Iori, the only EXs I have at A7 are Devil Jin and Catsuit Ivy. I stacked the debuffs, waited for Sarah to become vulnerable to balance type, went in with my supposed "nukes" and tried to attack as much as possible. I only got 12 billion. So either my nukes are just shit or something else went wrong that I didn't notice.
I think this is the highest I can go with this without going insane and resetting for only attack/balance buffs. I regret skipping Mai and not listening to my dick since I don't like any of these collab characters enough to fully invest in them, and EX Mai can keep up in damage with yellow Akira.
Maybe if the high poly Sarah end up doing more damage (by a clear large margin) than EX Kula I'll think about maxing her.
And just to prove a point I did a couple resets for 5 minutes until I got a good start just to get this shit done with. It's absolutely not worth it.
It was all Leona then after I got to 232b @ 1:20 left on the clock I just afk'd for the rest of the remaining time.
Also this tower with just A1 blocky Sarah without the collab banner set or finisher was kind of fun save for the last stage where if you frick up with her you get one shot by Akira in the last wave.

You only get the extra core board if you change up IIRC, so those atk boosts (CU + A1) plus skill % boosts (CU + A3) help more than A5 in short term

Jeez. Also I tried level 50 with a team of Jacky, Pai-chan and my own Akira, all A1, and they did close to 30% damage each. Not nearly enough to win because of the 20% heal between rounds, but like five times better than maxed out characters from the past two collabs. Talk about power creep.
You can probably go all the way up to 49. For some reason Akira gets a crazy defense buff when he reaches level 50. My Iori goes from killing him in a few hits to not being able to do shit. I just want one copy of Samus and I'm gone with this collab.

I have him at A4. I was mostly rolling for Sarah but apparently the gacha gods really wanted me to have Jacky. I could actually A5 him right now, I have an extra memory and a selector sitting in my inventory, but I figure I'll just keep rolling as I get more rubies. If I roll him one more time I can use the selector for Sarah.
Even like this he's already doing a lot more damage on Guild Raid and Guild Boss Challenge than both my A7 D.Jin and Ivy, despite his CP being way lower than theirs.
That's not really indicative of anything, they've done a ton of stones with very limited use. The low poly aesthetic is mostly a VF meme, I wouldn't expect them to add more characters like that outside of this collab.
Blocky Rugal and Kim have their own "Polygon" imprint stones series that hints on more similar blocky characters release in the future.

I got Rugal to A3 yesterday on a lucky single roll and then realized I had two selectors for that banner that I hadn't used yet, plus my generic EX memory from a while back that I was saving for just such a moment (like I said right here
), which just happened to be yellow. Today I got the generic memory from this event and amazingly it also happened to be yellow (I could have converted one of them if I had to, but not both). So I just went for it, really doubt I'd ever have a better opportunity to use these memories. F2P A5 Rugal it is.
Polygon Akira is such a trash unit, even at A7.
Seems like they've looked back at Cat Ivy being so broken, while also easy to obtain to, that they've made this event's free character completely useless.
He is a support unit, you want him just to apply his buffs and then tag him out. He can considerably raise the damage output of VF units

I just fought some sort of nigh-invincible Shun'ei on League. He kept going straight from his shield to damage immunity back to shield and so on with no window in between for me to damage him. I fought him for a solid two minutes until one of my hits finally dealt damage and he dropped. Very odd, never experienced this before. Wish I had been recording but I only managed to snag a screenshot in a panic.
Yeah, I'm not sure if it's a card set interaction or what, but Shun has a tendency to just bounce between shield and invul. It makes him a pain in the ass in League and Arena, to the point where you can lose because his defenses outlasted your barrage or even time out without finishing him off.
Thank God I have Sarah so I can kick his face all day.
What's the easiest character to a5-7 right now? I'm pretty much walled off till I get someone for some modes
What modes?
Any of them, you get the materials to upgrade them to A6-7 from dispatch and you need 25 dispatches per character to get the 1000 shards needed for the Prime Memory. Although your can cut 10 of them if you get lucky and get 400 shards from dispatch.
Currently Akira at A7 has the highest damage in the game while an A3 Sarah is doing as much damage as Mai or Kula at A7.
Poly Akira would be the easiest if you diligently got all his coins every day since the start of collab.
Any of the EX chars from the start are easier, because you don't need to get 3 additional memories to change up them to EX at A5.
So what free characters will I be able to obtain assuming I start around 4pm tomorrow, i was only able to login once and do a few dailies the day the collab started since I broke my phone shortly after while waking.

Start as in brand new account? Poly Akira, maybe poly Sarah/Rugal/Kim if you're lucky with their drops from Sarah coins gacha. All non-poly collab chars are only available from ruby banners. We also got some free x10 pulls and Sarah coins in the mail during collab, dunno if you got them too.

Halloween Chris + Halloween Alice are a must for gold farming. Halloween Xiangfei was the only support poison dealer for a while which was needed for some modes, but if you have XV Angel, then she's not needed.Otherwise just pick whoever you want. They're all great, because they have their own unique animations for some actions + intro/outro, Blue Mary for example has all different specials, comparing to all other her versions. Back then netmarble actually invested in these alternate characters.

If you guys are still struggling to get high scores against Poly Sarah, using her as support helps a lot. She increases the damage enemy receive when tagging out

Getting jacky to a5 was a mistake, should have just stopped after 1 pity. After that it's different for non-EX and EX
Non-EX need to get change up kit that costs 3 dupes to become EX.
EX out of the box don't need any change ups.

Prime memory only can be crafted from the character shards that you farm with dispatch missions, no need for dupes.

Christmas Choi because he is the only low cost unit with DoT, thus reducing the amount of time needed to take down enemies.
Envy Mary and Wrath Rugal are also decent picks because they have access at their character specific cards and finishers. Rugal could potentially be the best now thanks to the self destruct finisher
