I've played this game twice and I still feel like I dont 100% understand the plot despite reading all the emails and interacting with every little outpost. I mean I sort of get it but there are deffinatley holes. It would be difficult for me to explain to someone else what the story is about from start to finish.

Besides the iconography what exactly did Kojima copy from Blade Runner besides muh android hunter? Nothing in the story, themes, or plot even closely resembles the movie or the novel. If anything, the story is probably closer to They Live than Blade Runner.
