How is 1 more empty than 2? 2 is a shattered LEAKING vase held up by duct tape. 1 is a better game just because of that. Cutscenes in 2 even with the restoration mod felt disjointed and cuts abruptly in some parts. Not only that but Malachor is the definition of empty and unfinished until you get to Kreia. Kotor 1 didn't have a companion die offscreen and not explain why. Influence system was good on paper but in game it was dogshit to deal with.
>Influence system was good on paper but in game it was dogshit to deal with
Ruins every playthrough I've ever done, except the first when I didn't know how influence worked and assumed it would fill out through talking to them on the ship did NOT turn any Jedi, didn't even know it could be done
Having to have a guide open to remember where to get influence by arbitrarily changing party members for a few minutes then moving back to who you actually want/need get tedious and pulls me out of the game.
I will always believe that light side final boss was going to be Atris and they went with Kreia for both because they ran out of time
Her being the final boss in the prima guide is the biggest giveaway
>Atris
The game does feel empty with no romance with her. Love should have been the ultimate way to save her with a Male protage, just like Jolee Bindo would have wanted.
KOTOR 2 am tired of pretending the first was better it was not the sequel was an obvious gameplay improvement in every was >But muh story. Look it was not everyone’s cup of tea but it was not the worst thing ever and the ending was actually pretty good albeit a bit vague.

both
This is my opinion as well. II improves a lot of things from the first, but the story is weaker. I recommend both, fully restored, with modifications made to drastically increase your movement speed.
As much as I love 2 and think it's the better game at least 1 is complete, I'm also sick of the dialogue skips in 2, kills all desire to play the game when I have to keep worrying about when I last saved
I prefer the locations and overall journey of the first game but holy shit did 2 improve upon itemization and class feats/skills, 2 also still surprises me, I never knew just how many companions can be converted to be jedi
I love bringing Visas to Onderon so she can sperg out on her reactionary politics. Apparently no one ever taught her that you should never reveal your power level
I recall feeling the KOTOR 2 was a bigger mystery. The influence system was part of this; your party could look very different between plays. Romances were also haphazard & weird, easy to break.
All this led to a feeling that there was something MORE out in the game, that you just hadn't discovered. That a dialogue would unlock explaining Revan's location, or bringing a companion to a certain spot would unlock the droid base, etc.
>dark side is... LE BAD >light side is... LE BAD >apathy is... LE DEATH
she's literally just ulysess constantly b***hing about the story's setting. all the dialogue options are only there so you can be berated for disagreeing with chris avallon
Lmao Ithorians have to be the most pathetic species in star wars
This is like the fifth time they've begged for help. I feel like I'm doing nature a disservice by staving off the inevitable
Kotor 2. I've played both to completion probably 8 times, but whenever I start 1 again I always get bored after I finish 3 planets not including taris. Kotor 2 is enjoyable the whole way through, except for peragus, that sucks. One thing i dont get is why most people seem to hate taris, I always really enjoy the opening of kotor 1.
Kotor two has obsidians masturbatory dialogue and story writing
complete with the need to "deconstruct" starwars.
its shit and so is obsidian
this is also why new vegas is so goddamn gay
frick obsidian and frick you
both
This. Both kino in different ways. I like 1 more though.
Also if you want to read a comic that has the same vibes as KOTOR and TOR read this:
https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/143064605
Manaan is pure vibes
How would the selkath feel of I shit off the edge of ahto city into the sea?
I dont get how can anyone like 1 more
it's feels so empty

There are still companions I haven't fully went through cause of that gay system.
Whenever Kreia's not on screen, all the other characters should be asking, "Where's Kreia?"
Is there indignation greater than being the nonsensical combat boss in a game that portended to be about ideas? Justice for Kreia.
I will always believe that light side final boss was going to be Atris and they went with Kreia for both because they ran out of time

She suffered indignities but those covered in the game wear the least of it.
>Atris

Fun fact, almost nobody in the party knows Kreia is in the party. Even when shes right in the party.
2 feels like half a game
The more I replay both the more I like one and less I like two.

ser newbie, please format your post and try again

The one with redskin babes. :^)
I prefer 2, 1 felt too by the numbers for me.
As much as I love 2 and think it's the better game at least 1 is complete, I'm also sick of the dialogue skips in 2, kills all desire to play the game when I have to keep worrying about when I last saved
2 would be better if it had actually been completed and not rushed.
1 would be better if it had the improvements made in 2
I can't remember. Was HK-47 playable in both games? If not, then the one where you can play with him. If yes, then both.
He is in both games, and his dialogue in 2 is even better. The other HK droids in 2 are also hilarious
I prefer the locations and overall journey of the first game but holy shit did 2 improve upon itemization and class feats/skills, 2 also still surprises me, I never knew just how many companions can be converted to be jedi
i have fond memories of both, but star wars is shit. should i replay them?
kotor 1 is better
kotor 2 is more reddit
kotor 1 is your ordinary star wars story.
kotor 2 is an unfinished planescape: torment wannabe in good and bad
Never played the second but the first is woke as frick as is every bioware game.
>kotor
Great game with weaksauce story
>kotor2
Same game asking more interesting story questions but they forgot to answer or finish them
>Nar Shaddaa
>Telos
>Onderon
KOTOR 2 had the most comfy planets.
Also the best characters. The characters in the first game are annoying as frick
>Atton
>Kreia
>Sion
>Mira
>Mandalore
>Visas
>Handmaiden
>in no particular order
Frick yeah it had better characters.
I love bringing Visas to Onderon so she can sperg out on her reactionary politics. Apparently no one ever taught her that you should never reveal your power level
KOTOR 3: THE WAIFUS
>Bastila
>Juhani
>Mission
vs
>Visas
>Handmaiden
>Mira
It ain't even a fricking challenge. KOTOR 2 sweeps.
Mira sucks. I'd take Bastila over her, easily. But Visas is goated, as the zoomers would say
Sorry virginbro I'll stan one (1) bastila over a thousand kotor 2 slags.

I FRICKING loved it.
KOTOR 1 has Mission, thus it is the superior game.
the first one is more comfy and has more beautiful scenery, second has overall better gameplay and story, but it's dreadfully depressing
2,but it's pretty rough
2
>dark side is... LE BAD
>light side is... LE BAD
>apathy is... LE DEATH

Maybe humans should stop being c**ts to them? They just want peace.
Frick you alien lover! Gas the aliens, species war NOW!
lol, its not even a choice
1 for sure
2 is not even a game
Kotor 2. I've played both to completion probably 8 times, but whenever I start 1 again I always get bored after I finish 3 planets not including taris. Say it
I'm sorry
You may have gone too far in a few places
Both is the only right answer
Kotor two has obsidians masturbatory dialogue and story writing
complete with the need to "deconstruct" starwars.
its shit and so is obsidian
this is also why new vegas is so goddamn gay
frick obsidian and frick you
Yes Exile?
First. Easily.
It's an actual Star Wars game. The sequel is pseudo-intellectual tripe with harem bullshit. Only losers like it.
If they brought KOTOR back into canon I would gladly swap a male Revan female Exile for a female Revan and male Exile.
2, but you need the mods to restore the old content. Without it, it is really half-baked.
