turns out a studio that's only known for making ports and "remasters" of 20 years old games is not equipped to handle remaking an entire game from scratch.
Aspyr were being faithful to the original game and making it a proper rpg but with action combat. They even had ambitions to remake kotor 2 and make a kotor 3 down the line. The team was full of talented individuals who knew what they were doing and some who worked on the original game and understood what made the game so great.
When Sony and lucasfilm saw the demo they shit the bed and fired aspyr sending the company into disarray and ruining them. Just because the game wasn’t cinematic enough compared to the usual generic slip they are putting out now like Jedi survivor.
Frick Disney and Sony we could have had something great and considering the success of baldurs gate Sony got it wrong thinking rpg mechanics are not good enough. Now if the remake ever sees light of day it will be generic QuickTime cutscene slop.

I think in KotOR 1 you need to install something to fix the resolution. For KotOR 2 it's just fine, maybe install the cut content
