hopefully your teevee has dolby vision, enable that and play older games with auto-hdr on, it shits the hdr metadata directly through dolby vision

I have Dolby Vision disabled and I'm sure I have my reasons for doing so. I don't remember why though.
Oh that's right. For a while there it didn't support 120hz on my OLED, but that was fixed at the end of 2021 and I just forgot about it tbh.

dolby vision and gaming on, hdr10 off. also in your tv settings, you may want to set dolby vision color to 90 or max, it almost always defaults to half color on many tvs

yeahhh, the xbox is probably the best media box out there right now, even the PS5 has a shitload of limitations like no atmos outside of blu-ray and no dolby vision whatsoever
shame the bluray playback function of both is shit
the ps5's blu-ray app is miles better but the xbox is better at actual hd vid and audio output
