He didn't write much. Monolith Beyond Space And Time is okay? He mostly enabled a lot of different writers to get published in ways that were apparently less messed up than standard rpg pay scale.
LotFP is a lot of hammer horror pulp, scat jokes and a few gems hidden among the magical realms.
The Grinding Gear was seen as very creative and original when it came out
Tower of the stargazer was considered a good osr intro dungeon for a long time

I ran Tower of the Stargazer ages ago and it was alright, there were a few obviously bad ideas like the chess game and there being almost no beneficial interactions that I think gives the wrong ideas for an intro module but lotfp's been negadungeons from the getgo. >rpgday free stuff is funny

never ran it, but it contains a lot of versions of stuff he did better in later adventures. the puzzle rooms are kino to read, but you never know how puzzles are going to play at the table
