On each resource's help page there's a bunch of skills listed with multipliers and resources. Those resources may or may not have the same skill listed on their own help page. The idea is that those resources contribute to those skills but only if they're listed in the same row as that skill, and the more cumulative skill bonus you have, the better your building or production will turn out. The multipliers come into effect when you have a bunch of skills, since the balance of skills is relative. If Fire is x100 and metallurgy is x5, then Fire is 20 times as important to the final product's quality.

It depends. You should aim to get orchads of the best quality, so a good plougher and good soil can help. Then it depends on the skills of the fruitpicker (or how it was called) that actually put the trees in the plot. Biome compatibility may also play a part btw, so if you tru to plant lemons in the nort quality will be low (and theh will die in winter). Do check the wiki page, usually there will be something like "tundra +50% river -50%" that can help.

Yes, without LOL+ you can still expand territory into the fog which reveals it as well as found a domain in the fog which also reveals it.

Shitty damage control.
Aside from roads and hayfields, f2p players don't get enough tokens to meaningfully speed up plowing or mountain roads, or for another example to token construction and start training immediately instead of checking in several hours or even next day. Or speed building the first streets in new hamlet - without having to send your other builders if you even have them. Don't even get me started on military. Jetons is how you are able to quickly respond to happenings instead of sitting on your ass for 5 hours.
There's a 'premium' currency called tokens that every player regardless of subscription status can acquire through a slot machine available once every 23 hours. Paypigs get a 10x multiplier to whatever they roll so they have a slight advantage since players can use tokens to accelerate actions or convert into money if needed. LOL+ gives you 10 extra title slots for your family so you could own more domains and hold more titles but individual lords are still limited to 10 title slots + 1 per lord's birthday. LOL+ users have access to a few niche units, actions, and titles although non subscribers can still acquire LOL+ titles, they're just not able to create them so you can steal the title from a player or have a player with LOL+ give you a marquisate or something (if you appoint a LOL+ player as a steward or vice-mayor or something, they can train LOL+ units for you so that's not really an issue either). One annoying thing is that non subscribers have a UI delay built into the game which is arguably the most annoying part of your subscription expiring since everything is noticeably slower.

New accounts always spawn on the newer continents and near active players. Moving is easy enough if you are part of a group that will give you gold and lend you builders.

New player means new account that spawns in the new continent because admin wants the new continents to be for new players. Supposedly this means that the players who pay for the game are supposed to settle on an old continent that will sink in six weeks.
You can't win in a game like Rust, but that doesn't mean that it wouldn't be P2W if you could spend money to build your base way faster or teleport your entire faction to the enemy's base to take them by surprise.

The old market was better since it had actual supply and demand and not this mystical nu-market infinite supply and demand bullshit, however the nu-market is way more casual friendly and less penalising for people on small or less populated continents and therefore better for casual player retention. Too bad we can't combine both systems where you have a regional market system (and not a continent wide one like the old market) and a buy/sell order book. That way both intracontinental and intercontinental trade routes would be profitable.

I don't think so, the new starting conditions does make it slower to progress, but I believe I can optimise it to a point where within a day or two I can start recruiting peasant soldiers.
Regardless of how much slower it is, I'm fine with making around 5 accounts a day and saving them for a large raid against new players, none of the noobs that I attacked made it past the village stage the last time I did this.
Most of the wait will be around building houses and streets, in the old start you only needed to make around three before you had enough population to upgrade to village but now its much higher obviously.
If peasant soldier spam doesn't work, I'll simply use the tokens from the tutorials to deforest as many areas as I can while exploring the fog. No one can attack me until the 22nd of October, and using the 4000 starting tokens + tutorial ones I should be able to destroy a large amount of trees before the moderators can suspend the account.
How do I restore "destroyed woods" terrain to normal? I had some trees growing over clay and some other over some silt I didn't saw at first. I'd like to restore the terrain to default, is there a way?

This will probably be 1 of 3 gold deposits owned by someone who only just started on the new continent, the rest will be owned by old players who can explore and token the 2-4 day hamlet founding debuff that the fog gives.
I mean, you can always be a vulture and monitor the exploration efforts of others and plant your own domain. It's not that hard to distinguish valuable resources, even in fog. Just saying. Sure, stealing will put you in some trouble, but what stops you from making a deal that would work? Like a cut from the digged stones/gold.

What does the weather modifier actually do? like it says +3 but I am still confused.
This:
If the modifier is +4 it will give you +4 happiness if you are outside and like +2 happiness if you are inside.
you can see the buff on the right side of your screen when viewing a tile, or upper left (without buff) when scrolling the map.
The happiness buff and temp increase for the weather is pulled from a certain weather scale, I don't know the exact stats but for ''radiant sun'' it can be (is always?) +15 happiness and for ''frequent showers'' it's -10
The +3 modifier means the weather in all your tiles gets put 3 steps higher on this weather scale, which grants you higher happiness and increases temperature in your whole domain

If you zoom out, you can see the outdated appearance of the village where it shows Trisfer as owning the entirety of the forest in the eastern half of the village, as well as half of an island just above.
When you zoom in, you can see the actual appearance of the village, and see that a new player spawned just today and took half of the forest plus the island from his domain.

Since there can be no more quick peasant soldier spam (7 days to gain access to hostile actions, smaller starting size, combat only starting on the 22nd) I believe I should switch my focus into constructing 1000-2000 population lordships, and training actual units to use against other players.
At this point there is no reason not to invest more time into getting higher quality units in more numbers because of the 7 day restriction, and it's not that hard to grow fast since I got to around 1200 people using sub-optimal designs + materials.
Pikemen and other actual units unlock in 24 days apparently, so I'll be doing a trial run of around 15 accounts using peasant soldiers (should be around 6 each, with the ability to train them back if they die in combat) and then another 15 when actual units are unlocked.
I'll also be using an actual account at the same time, like Lohmark was until someone posted him here

I will tell you a secret. Most of the p2w titles are shit anyways.
You can be a VERY decent military guy without the tokens, just fricking build enough lordships/baronies/viscounties. You can manage 3 at once with a single character with fricking ease, just use the seneschal title. The rest can be your villages/hamlets. Let's say you wasted 14 slots to gather 3 lordships on one character. As a f2p you have 11 more. 3 go for lordship parishes. You have now 8 left. 2 villages, 1 hamlet. Given they will go full production once capped, they should be more than enough to support your domains with money. Just figure the proper domain chain. Like 2 lordships and a hamlet under a barony, with villages being under lordships to cover salaries with tax money.
The only downside you can't be self-sufficient and will have to rely on the equipment from your neighbors.
A ploughman takes 90 minutes from arriving to finish ploughing. Farmers take roughly the same time to plant and harvest beets, and closer to 60 minutes to harvest wheat and only 40 to sew it. I don't know how much time they take to move after they finish the tile, but assuming anywhere from 30-60 minutes, which means a total time of 120 to 150 minutes per field for a ploughman which is equal to 84 to 67 fields per week.
Apple and pear pickers take 40-50 minutes to arrive and pick, which means ~70-80 minutes per tree =~ 135 trees per week per picker.

On each resource's help page there's a bunch of skills listed with multipliers and resources. Those resources may or may not have the same skill listed on their own help page. The idea is that those resources contribute to those skills but only if they're listed in the same row as that skill, and the more cumulative skill bonus you have, the better your building or production will turn out. The multipliers come into effect when you have a bunch of skills, since the balance of skills is relative. If Fire is x100 and metallurgy is x5, then Fire is 20 times as important to the final product's quality.

It depends. You should aim to get orchads of the best quality, so a good plougher and good soil can help. Then it depends on the skills of the fruitpicker (or how it was called) that actually put the trees in the plot. Biome compatibility may also play a part btw, so if you tru to plant lemons in the nort quality will be low (and theh will die in winter). Do check the wiki page, usually there will be something like "tundra +50% river -50%" that can help.

When you found a domain you won't get any workers so you'll need to build a single tile of streets to get enough space for a unit.

Kinda wrong. While some things like certain productions/organizations/buildings (some of them are purely cosmetic) are paywalled, it is more than playable for free. Micromanagement is present at all stages of game. The game itself gets progressively faster once you get hang of the balance between production and building and start getting more units, domains, etc. Le jetons you get from slot machine can indeed boost speed of your development, especially at the early stages, but these will become much more less significant with the restrictions new island will introduce.

Jetons is how you are able to quickly respond to happenings instead of sitting on your ass for 5 hours.

There's a 'premium' currency called tokens that every player regardless of subscription status can acquire through a slot machine available once every 23 hours. Paypigs get a 10x multiplier to whatever they roll so they have a slight advantage since players can use tokens to accelerate actions or convert into money if needed. LOL+ gives you 10 extra title slots for your family so you could own more domains and hold more titles but individual lords are still limited to 10 title slots + 1 per lord's birthday. LOL+ users have access to a few niche units, actions, and titles although non subscribers can still acquire LOL+ titles, they're just not able to create them so you can steal the title from a player or have a player with LOL+ give you a marquisate or something (if you appoint a LOL+ player as a steward or vice-mayor or something, they can train LOL+ units for you so that's not really an issue either). One annoying thing is that non subscribers have a UI delay built into the game which is arguably the most annoying part of your subscription expiring since everything is noticeably slower.

The old market was better since it had actual supply and demand and not this mystical nu-market infinite supply and demand bullshit, however the nu-market is way more casual friendly and less penalising for people on small or less populated continents and therefore better for casual player retention. Too bad we can't combine both systems where you have a regional market system (and not a continent wide one like the old market) and a buy/sell order book. That way both intracontinental and intercontinental trade routes would be profitable.

I don't think so, the new starting conditions does make it slower to progress, but I believe I can optimise it to a point where within a day or two I can start recruiting peasant soldiers.
Regardless of how much slower it is, I'm fine with making around 5 accounts a day and saving them for a large raid against new players, none of the noobs that I attacked made it past the village stage the last time I did this.
Most of the wait will be around building houses and streets, in the old start you only needed to make around three before you had enough population to upgrade to village but now its much higher obviously.
If peasant soldier spam doesn't work, I'll simply use the tokens from the tutorials to deforest as many areas as I can while exploring the fog. No one can attack me until the 22nd of October, and using the 4000 starting tokens + tutorial ones I should be able to destroy a large amount of trees before the moderators can suspend the account.

I mean, you can always be a vulture and monitor the exploration efforts of others and plant your own domain. It's not that hard to distinguish valuable resources, even in fog. Just saying. Sure, stealing will put you in some trouble, but what stops you from making a deal that would work? Like a cut from the digged stones/gold.

The happiness buff and temp increase for the weather is pulled from a certain weather scale, I don't know the exact stats but for ''radiant sun'' it can be (is always?) +15 happiness and for ''frequent showers'' it's -10
The +3 modifier means the weather in all your tiles gets put 3 steps higher on this weather scale, which grants you higher happiness and increases temperature in your whole domain

If the modifier is +4 it will give you +4 happiness if you are outside and like +2 happiness if you are inside.

For your day-to-day gameplay, the game isn't really pay-to-win. The only time it can really help a lot to have lots of tokens is during initial colonization.
It's also pay-to-win on a day-by-day basis because you get hard coded input delays on ALL your actions if you don't have lol+
The tokens don't matter if you're never going to seriously develop your village's farmland anyway if it takes many more hours of clicking to build fields than it takes for your opponents.
Now that I think about it, the fact that many villages don't even have many if any fields and so have barely anyone employed in agriculture, in a fricking PREMODERN political sim, is an even greater feat of idiotic game design than those stupid meme circles and infinite supply.

Since there can be no more quick peasant soldier spam (7 days to gain access to hostile actions, smaller starting size, combat only starting on the 22nd) I believe I should switch my focus into constructing 1000-2000 population lordships, and training actual units to use against other players.
At this point there is no reason not to invest more time into getting higher quality units in more numbers because of the 7 day restriction, and it's not that hard to grow fast since I got to around 1200 people using sub-optimal designs + materials.
Pikemen and other actual units unlock in 24 days apparently, so I'll be doing a trial run of around 15 accounts using peasant soldiers (should be around 6 each, with the ability to train them back if they die in combat) and then another 15 when actual units are unlocked.
I'll also be using an actual account at the same time, like Lohmark was until someone posted him here

I will tell you a secret. Most of the p2w titles are shit anyways.
You can be a VERY decent military guy without the tokens, just fricking build enough lordships/baronies/viscounties. You can manage 3 at once with a single character with fricking ease, just use the seneschal title. The rest can be your villages/hamlets. Let's say you wasted 14 slots to gather 3 lordships on one character. As a f2p you have 11 more. 3 go for lordship parishes. You have now 8 left. 2 villages, 1 hamlet. Given they will go full production once capped, they should be more than enough to support your domains with money. Just figure the proper domain chain. Like 2 lordships and a hamlet under a barony, with villages being under lordships to cover salaries with tax money.
The only downside you can't be self-sufficient and will have to rely on the equipment from your neighbors.

How's the saturation for farms and farmers and ploughmen?
A ploughman takes 90 minutes from arriving to finish ploughing. Farmers take roughly the same time to plant and harvest beets, and closer to 60 minutes to harvest wheat and only 40 to sew it. I don't know how much time they take to move after they finish the tile, but assuming anywhere from 30-60 minutes, which means a total time of 120 to 150 minutes per field for a ploughman which is equal to 84 to 67 fields per week.
Apple and pear pickers take 40-50 minutes to arrive and pick, which means ~70-80 minutes per tree =~ 135 trees per week per picker.

If the attack was unlocked, it probably would cause a lot of drama, just like the bloodbath of Paradisia during Jan, where small faction basically claimed a lot of territories/valuable domains for themselves by attacking smaller players or players stranded from their factions.

From what I gather, there used to be a Ganker guild but it got sold out by someone who groveled to become a Tilean. An from what I gather, A tilean is a pro-admin faction that follow the direction and story boarded guidance. Where there is little chaotic freedom that makes us human and to be held in check by a metaphorical leash. Very difficult to discern who is controlled by who. But that is usually the high lords I find. I could be wrong of course.
In my imagination Tilea stands for the close knit group of the (not french) old guard / grognards who played this game way before Ingerland – and the name Tilea, as far as I know – was a thing.
I dont think they are generally content with how Admin develops this game (Though this weird WIP might be their suggestion https://www.landsoflords.com/forum/work//803139, idk). Or I might read too much into all their complaining.
