The skyline mode is pretty fun, but it takes almost half an hour just for one round. Also Landius is too busted, they probably should've made him his Lancer form instead, because with Cav he gets ranged counter+first strike meaning he takes no damage basically as this mode has way higher damage dealt than hp/defenses most of the time. I've only seen it lose like once, to a 6 protag+Shelf killing Landius stacked with dps items instead.

If I attack the center I get besieged from the south and the harpy debuff the movement of the closest unit. If I attack north the ghost puts one unit to sleep and the zombie takes out another. Attacking south is quite difficult due to distance and lancer command
If you have Shelfaniel you can stun those 2 demon units with Divine Judgment skill.
Would you guys say Altemuller is still a good PvE investment to pull, 6* and SP as of now?
I feel like his kit and ability to get full AA might still be very much relevant for endgame PvE but not entirely sure
I've used him for a couple of the ragnarok stages, but he feels completely powercrept at this point.
He's too niche for PvP and even more niche for PvE. His only advantages in PvE are being able to attack twice with his 3c if he's fighting mobs, pull in units with his SP form, and buffing Strat.
His problem is that his talent is meant to stack up over longer battles, he needs random enemies to up his stack limit and his kit isn't meant for bosses. So yes, he technically does have a 56% Atk talent which is nuts, but in the only places you'll even get there where it's relevant, he only has raging thunder and his 3c to deal damage. On maps where his 3c is great and he has enemies to pull in, his talent is just 16% Atk on the first hit and 24% on the second. He also has a small niche in giving terrain master to all strat units, but otherwise his FB is just worse than Grenshiel's. Even on the recent Forbidden Battlegrounds, the ghost fog guy punishes grouping enemies, and a 1.5x multiplier makes it hard for him to one shot the tankier enemies. As flier he doesn't have class advantage either, whereas for stuff like orcs, dragoons, a cav or offensive lancer can easily get the one shot on 70.
In PvP his gimmick is entirely dependent on your opponent not knowing how to position, and if you can dispel 2 range guard on their tanks, but the payoff is effectively winning the match as he kills 2 units and only a mage is getting the kill on him afterwards usually. He also has time to build up his stacks there. But if people are aware of his gimmick he's just a flier with suction sometimes with a 1.5x skill which is a dead unit unless you meme it out onto turn 12.

Game is quite lenient with only getting units. Rate up is 40/40 with 20% off-banner and pity at 100. CN is around 5-6 months ahead of us so yeah, you basically have her 90% if you start now, or even if you start in like 3 months. 99% if you save almost all your tickets beyond the bare minimum, but there's no failsafe for collab banners so you can always be extremely unlucky. Alternatively you could always just reroll during the actual collab. It's a huge pain in the ass to reroll in this game, but if you're only doing it for one unit might as well. Also worth mentioning that one unit is not going to carry you in this game through anything at all. If you do roll her, you're most likely going to also roll Bozel which means you'll always be fielding two mages even though she's a pretty good unit. I pretty much would never recommend playing this game just for a collab, but if a collab piques your interest you can always try the game out. You'll have to be level 35 to play the story event anyways, so unless rerolling for Lina is the only important thing, you want to start min. a month before the collab starts.
As already mentioned by the other anon, a single unit, albeit strong, will never allow you to complete many of the contents necessary for game progression, especially because Lina belongs to three factions that are not easy to build:
Dark Reincarnation: doesn't have a helaer in faction, doesn't have good tank and most of the strong units require rare bonds plus you would be forced to use either Bozel or Licorice for faction buff (FB) and both are not that useful in many content .
Protagonist: good faction but you would be forced to always use Matthew for FB or use Lovina for FB which is rare unit.
Heroes of time: two FBs are units that will never return barring miracles, the third FB is a unit that return every six months or so and on an unfair banner if you're pretty unlucky.
The only advice I can give you is to start immediately and see if you like the game, normally it's at account level 55 that the problems that lead new players to abandon the game begin.
The only advice I can give you is forget it, don't start playing this game, find something better and more user friendly. Zlong doesn't give a damn about new players and doesn't give a damn if you like one unit over another. The developers handle everything badly and have taken the bad habit in PVE of making talents and skills useless by giving immunities or absurd counterattack abilities to enemies which practically makes some units almost useless especially if they have low stats.
Naturally the above applies if you don't pay, if you pay you shouldn't have many problems if you dedicate the time (a lot of time) necessary to the game, in practice even if you spend money you don't have guaranteed victory
I mean, this is blatantly untrue considering you can clear all Ragnarok stages in <1y f2p. And a few months of that time is spent just waiting to level up the gods.
A new player or an old player who knows the game and the best upgrade path and with a lot of luck with the summons?
Does it matter? If you dedicate time and have the prerequisite knowledge paying should be irrelevant to whether you can clear PvE content. Summons are also not very variable in this game since rolls are probably weighted against pity anyways. In a year you should have over 2k summons done, and it's very likely their summon rate is between 1.6% and 2%. Also the point is that this was less than a year. If someone is paying money and has been playing for like 2 years unable to clear PvE, either they didn't invest into Aniki training or it's a clear skill difference, whether that be in resource management or knowledge checks.
New players should be doing far worse than veterans starting a new account if they don't research. It would be weird to play a game where your choice of what to invest in just didn't matter as long as you roll the new op. Not that it's bad, just different design philosophies.

I agree, especially if instead of getting a new off-banner unit I get a duplicate of a unit that I don't even plan to build. Destiny banners are no better except that you know what a mediocre unit you might get. With the increase of the units the quality of the destiny has decreased a lot especially because most of the units after act 1 need both ssr bonds which are difficult to obtain due to the scheduling of the banners.

The god stuff was added, which should make PvE stuff that you can summon them for easier. You can also do limited stages that give you tokens based on the character's class types that give you stat bonuses and sometimes an extra passive if you powered them up. There's new character powercreep, but it's not the most creative stuff in the world.

Got all my troop types to all 80%. Just need 2 useful passive nodes and like 4 not too useful ones left and I can move on to just leveling niche soldiers. The only annoying thing is that basically everything left to level uses the same damn drops.

I get how you feel since they do pull that shit a lot, but this banner in specific got a rerun in CN. So you're actually good if you're going to roll when it comes back. Unless you really enjoy grinding the hard content it's just a bonsaige really. Just sweep and auto daily shit a couple times a day and that's it. I've only completed three super easy Ragnarok stages so far and just cba to keep doing more.
It's time to take a break buddy. Game isn't going anywhere and even though you feel FOMO from dailies, you actually don't miss out on a lot in this game because events give jack shit.
You could log in just to do dailies, timeless trials and sharding without farming aniki or way of the law and ignore the events. If you leave temporarily and are a f2p user you risk not having enough crystals if you come back to play. If you only use sweeps it takes about 5 minutes for dailies, the most annoying things are the arena and the map event.

Hilda is a fine tank too yet she already got her casting skill, meanwhile ton of old characters still don't have theirs. Much like we see ancient characters getting EE years after if at all, while some fresh off the press characters get their announced almost instantly, all these features (EE, Casting, SP) are just tools to shape Apex and sell joystickscrystals the way Zlong wants, not some kind of "fair" attempts at balancing anything like some naive people think.

The first one is super easy by now, just incredibly tedious for 2 and 3. I haven't done either yet since I guess I don't know how to read and get fricked trying. The rest idk I've only cleared the Frigg stages for the second and third set.
I started day 1 in Langrisser, and did the first 3. I think it's what killed the last energy I had to play the game. I have heard they rebalanced the later ones so they aren't such a slog, but I don't see how people can have enough SPECIFIC characters built up to clear these without a couple years of playtime. At least I made it long enough so that I can roll for Slayers.
I haven't finished any Ragnarok yet and honestly I don't even feel like doing it, despite that 40% increase in stats it always seems to me that my units are too weak.
In my opinion the best mode is Ancient Beckoning, accessible to all players and even the less hardcore ones have the chance to get rewards not to mention the fact that the AB bosses have the best skill descriptions of the whole game.

I hated only 1-3 and 4-4, but now since I passed them I really enjoy this challenge.
Honestly surprised there's not just one but two people that like AB. When it first came out it was pretty widely criticized in basically every server for forcing a ranking system and not being well designed. Not sure how the experience is for a new player but the problems I see with it are that it's effectively a one and done with no variation, you use only 5 units, covenants make it a joke to get s rank nowadays, and it's just a rotation with barely any differences. Sleipnir was probably my favorite but Nid/Jorm are too simplistic, Fenrir was/is way too underpowered and swingy, and Huginn was just archer or bust.
I definitely like AB and even covenant stages more. AB seemed laid out very clearly, and you're still given a template of what will work faction / skill wise. Outside of bosses most covenant stages are just timeless trial maps, too.
the ragnarok stages seem to rotate around niche strats and equipment, I rarely see anything involving something simple like a tank.
anyway, I still need to get yulia/ledin beefed up to beat a story stage that stalled me out a while back before I took a big break
I got a few done just to get a weekly balance of resources and never touched the mode again

Christmas Slayers would make bank, I never spend beyond the privileges but I might for Slayers in case saving isn’t enough. Which would be surprising because there’s nothing on the horizon that looks very interesting to me or looks like a must pull.
Just coast on destinies and even then you should have enough to gain a single copy of each as long as you spend on nothing else.
Could just goddess gift from now till then, that's like 18ish rolls a month or something.

It's for PvE only
My protag got shored up pretty well with Ham, Z2, and Gintoki. Usually it's those 3 plus either Elwin, Kagura, Tiaris, or Ryo. If I need a tank it's LB to survive, Ledin if I need the counter damage. If I really need magic damage I still have Rachel from way back when. Working on SP Dieharte, and I used to bring Sakura along but not anymore.
Yeless doesn't have the same few OP units so I almost always bring Landius unless you really don't need a tank. Pretty much always bring Gintoki, and then decide on Klose/Rachel if I need healing. Then I choose two of Elmo/IBC/Brenda/Listell/Ryo/Renne depending on the map.
Landius obviously, Gintoki/Brenda for phys, IBC/Rachel/KoM for magic. I never use Yeless in content with locks so I just throw Tiaris in to heal.
I don't have many units and I don't have any SSR collaboration units.
Protagonists: Ledin, Elwin, Wehttam, Sword of Light and Shadow, Rachel, Saintess of the Ark, Tiaris, Elma, Liana.
Yeless: Landius, IBC, Rachel, Adankelmo, Shelfaniel, Knight of Mystery, Melania.
Ledin despite being an old tank still does his job well especially if you are able to use his 3c smartly.
Rachel should not be underestimated, her talent combined with scepter of divinity and her mage class allowed me to complete the current forbidden battleground. Mage class is flying movement, so it allows you to place her in safe blocks where she can't be attacked. Other features of Rachel are her 3c which is very useful for finishing or weakening enemies and she can use ST skills every turn without the need for accessories and enchant clock.
Saintess if you have the time to activate her 1c is a respectable debuffer and allowed me to complete the previous battleground.
Shelfaniel isn't bad, especially her 3c against demons can make a difference and starting at 4* she can cleanse every turn if you decide to use her ST.
Adankelmo is must have unit, her portals are too useful in PVE.
Melania is a good healer plus she has gospel, she's not Tiaris but she can keep a tank alive if used right.
I recommend not underestimating any unit, in some cases they may surprise you.

Im literally like half a year behind on the grind so that when I'm close to getting apex competitive, the next major update sets me back again.

Its infuriating tbh. I love the potential here, but its just not worth it. Only thing keeping me logging in is that I don't like any other mobile games, so its easy for me log in once or twice a day to clear my dailies and occasionally go on a grinding tear and clearing content, but truth is I gave up a year ago.

Eh, the boost from having them all unlocked is just a bit higher than casting. It's like 300hp/50 main stat, +/-5% damage dealt and recieved, but like ~10% soldier stats. If you're only half a year behind it's even less.
What do you mean by Apex competitive? I'm not sure the top 256 even all have 80% on their soldier trainings, and at least from JP the top 256 definitely didn't all bother min maxing covenants either, ironically because Apex players don't really want to bang their head against PvE either. Most Gold 3 players aren't going to have maxed covenant boosts either. The last time I bothered with Apex I was running into people using non-70 Thor/Frigg/Heimdall.

I don't think they expect that many new players to join at this point, but anyone joining has their expectations set on what kind of game it is, which is one where it takes a long time to progress. Also new players aren't the ones clamoring to join Apex anyways. I don't see any reason not to speed up Aniki, but Ragnarok stats probably aren't the reason you aren't competitive in Apex.
As for actual new players interested in Apex, they probably thought the ranking system would sort itself out like Elo does, but the problem is that it resets too often compared to other games and you can barely get any games in when Apex is only open on weekends. As a result you have a lot of people who just trickle in later in the season even though they were like Lang tier last season and there's no real way of solving that except getting more players so they can open Apex up and evening out the player distribution from new players to veterans. Which isn't going to happen anyways because like <20% of the player base even touches Apex once a season. If you got everyone to actually play 5 games at the start of every season to place people matchmaking would probably work a lot better.
Unless the schedule changes, I have guaranteed Epsilon. Is it worth spending a maximum of 100 vouchers to get him? From what I've read he needs his EE, Giant Zombie, FB to activate the second part of the talent and the skills all have special conditions.
He's still strong but you want him at least 5*, and considering you're probably doing it for Apex, you're likely better off building other characters.
If you're at a tight crunch and especially want to save for the 2 known collabs or other gaurantees, you can skip, although this is likely the last time Epsilon will be on a banner for a while given CN schedule up until now.
I don't play Apex so I would build him for PVE, so I'm not sure whether to summon or not.
Out of the 3, Lostham is far and away the most useful for PvE and will remain useful regardless of powercreep if you build him. Epsilon isn't shit for PvE but in terms of a cost benefit initiative the most value is Ragnarok realms so the PvE endgame.

If you need Meteor team built then i guess he's the man you need since Zerida is old and awful in PvE due to needing 2 turns to do her thing AND having to apply FB too, between this need to juggle too much garbage and probably struggling to even kill anything anyway you'd probably prefer having your fingers forcibly bent backwards than using her.
Other than that there're definitely better characters to spend tickets on.
Zerida really feels like absolute garbage to use the past 2 years. I think I broke her out once for a meteor run when clearing Thor stages and it felt like shit.
Lostham worth getting to 5*? Getting close to 2 5* and I don't have much else in line.
He's still worth getting to 6*, so...
Just finish his last 150 eventually if you have higher priorities.
Yeah right now I've got Grenshiel and Elaine next in line, with Awakener coming up soon. Sadly didn't roll Agnes and got Elaine twice but you can't win every battle. There's also Towa who I would eventually like to start on but they probably won't make a boss stage that Thor would destroy again.
Also if you lack Ashemar, she'll be on a banner next month with Towa and Alustriel.
She wasn't really meant for PvE and just got her Meteor FB from being a main character. And good riddance to her in Apex anyways. Imagine thinking two Zeridas rolling breeze was any better than Leonhardt teleporting in T1 or Ares on release.
My Zerida 4* after activating the 3c oneshot better than Omega 4* and I think her FB is better than Epsilon's, of course I agree that she is unsuitable for PVE even if I've used her in battleground and covenants.
Her 3C should've been fused with her Faction Buff
Running her as the Buffer meant needing to not use her signature move and instead just use FB + Shadow Raid (for the ignore Guard) + either Sly Stride/Back Stab/Bloodbath (Passive) or Killing Blow
Needing her to wait 2 turns charging up makes her unusable in PvE and even PvP
Don't forget assassins unless they just get non assassin tools (Lostham getting mov again ala Leon; Tatalia's buffsteal; Kaguya having passive bonus range, healing and attacks mdef) being complete shit in PvE that matters, boss slugfests or enemies from non launch content and thus don't have tissue paper defense. Hence if or rather when statcreep happens in PvP, the assassin in question will quickly and permanently become useless. ESPECIALLY with a crit focused killset.
I'm replaying the game from the beginning since it's been years. This thing is new from last time I played, so you get 4 and you can summon a hero with faction buff, does it include SSR heroes? Also, I'm getting them from tutorial event missions, will I'll be able to get 4 or is just a wienertease to spend money?
You will get all dusts for free, no money spent. All heroes in the bag are SSR, it doesn't include all the FB characters though. "Recent" heroes are not in that bag, iirc it's something like

You can silence her passive and a cavalry tank + cavalry soldiers should be able to survive an attack and cavalry units with access to skills that silence passives might even oneshot her. I agree though, it's an annoying unit especially when the only one who can attack is the healer.
In my opinion the worst unit is the Ghost, total immunity to one type of damage is bullshit especially when you have to finish lv 70 with certain factions.

They're just abiding by the results of that one poll they did over like a year ago now. At least the next two are going to be characters that actually need it, Lanford and Lico. Also Bern definitely didn't need it, but they clearly didn't buff him as much as characters who needed it like Dieharte. He hardly needed the cost limit in the first place because you would be losing out on rupture. If you wanted to get people to try the game this is the event I guess. Free 6-star Mack who has a universal Atk/Int FB, but ironically applies water to everyone if he's in range of his own talent beacon which provides mobility reduction. So unique and technically easy to use, but will still somehow sort out the braindead players.

He's an SR so yeah. Free from the event's secret realm reward which seems to be a server wide world boss type of thing. Hopefully they adjust for each server's population, but they merge the ones with not enough people so it should be alright.
As for Mack himself I only wish he wasn't glory because god knows Glory is already overloaded for early-end pve progression, but he doesn't seem too bad.
Leaving aside skills and talent, if the bonds are not the three starters or summonable R / SR, Mack becomes almost useless once he reaches level 60-70.

My doubt arises from the fact that they did not hesitate to give Melania and Oliver two SSR bonds unlike Angelica who instead has two SR bonds and Liza who has one SSR bond and Matthew.
Based on the "Valorous Rhapsody" event (replayable in the revival event for those interested, and I recommend it since it's not bad and costs nothing but time) Knight of Mystery becomes the "owner" of Mack, so it wouldn't surprise me if she could be one of the bonds, however I hope I'm wrong.

So it seems like the Neo versions of Varna/Fera/Imelda are just going to be SSRs that we possibly have to roll for, because they realized giving SP to SRs was hardly worth it since we get them for free, they have to basically redesign art, and for a short period they're at least meta. If they were going to give us them for free anyways they would've just made an SP form. Also Imelda is basically guaranteed to win, she's going to be infantry.

Elmo's EE gives 20%Atk/Int for units who use her portal, which is already amazing, but it also makes non-flying enemy units have to use 1 more movement per block within 2 blocks of her portals. LB's is decent I guess.

For an endgame player, it might as well be free compared to a new character and the bottleneck of starring them up. For SRs, the largest cost in the 4k crystals isn’t even there. I’m currently sitting on 62 runestones and 5k controllers. The cost of those are so negligible compared to the cost of having to pull.
Neo versions is a mistake, one of the features of langrisser mobile is not to have duplicates of the same character unless they are older or younger versions.
Luckily Mack has Elwin as his main bonds, so except for those who decide to start the game with a different faction than glory, he can be useful for new players. It would have been better to use the main trio or the collaboration method.
Adankelmo EE is too strong, it wouldn't surprise me if there is immunity against movement debuff in PVE in the future.
This time the casting skills are not bad. Ledin 3c range +1 could allow some interesting strategies and Rozalia is also useful, naturally for those who have her at 6* + EE.
I agree, a SP is not free, unless you are a whale or other types of animals, for a f2p to build it means saving resources and giving up summoning and building other units for a while.
SR don't have bad skills or talents, the problem is that they are niche units with low stats.

In the past, you could activate Clock on his 3c. With the obvious combo of how the 3c worked and his unique, it was decent for a heavily rng dependant strat. Now Clock doesn't work as the self damage was made a status and tweaked and he's more useless for non fixed required PvE than ever, and not even particularly valuable in PvP. And for fixed damage shit there's still many other characters with more utility it hurts.

Whew, this FC clearly exposed 2 of my glaringly underdeveloped factions: Yeless (barely scraped units for lvl60 and it was still a struggle, i'm not getting those joysticks) and protags (fine roster but both FBs are completely untouched).
I faintly heard something about new protagsmatthew getting dropped or maybe it was just a dream. Would you say Lovina is worth building as FB? I lean towards him because i just really dislike Matthew and i think he's a lost cause after his SP, but maybe someone can vouch for him and regardless of his messy dumpster fire kit he just works anyway?
He works fine if not great in AoE rush for apex but it’s been kneecapped after AO. Not going to be great in FB because he’s basically just a cavalry with air slash and slight repositioning. I find that using T1 to buff is a waste of time unless it gets you a kill and/or it’s on a tank. You’re better off going for Z2 and Ham who can self buff, and just using Elwin/Dieharte, then trying to fill the last slot with either a tank who can self buff, Tiaris or Liana. The other problem is that protag has a shit ton of units who are collabs for obvious reasons. Ryo, Sakura, Gintoki, Alicia, Kagura, Wataru, Yusuke, Van basically means your protag dps is kneecapped, which means even more so you have to invest into Z2, Ham and Elwin.
Protags have Tiaris so T1 oneshots is something i do go for whenever i can if i can field her.
My Elwin is 6* in top shape, Ham and Z2 are at 5*, both buildmastered but not fully casted and Z2 especially has "fine enough" ecnhants like 9%ATK on weapon etc, you know how it goes.
Their selfbuffs run off quickly, have painfully long cooldowns and don't have bonus buffs (except Ham who can also clock it) so i'd rather have FB tbh
Also wait, how's Gin a kneecap to DPS? Mine is 4* but build and i do use him quite a bit, he's strong.
The kneecap is if you're trying to build protag without having played through the collabs because they sure as hell aren't showing up again for years. If you have Elwin/Gin/Ham/Z2 and Tiaris, you should be set for FB, but if you want the consistency in buffs, you're probably changing your team comp and/or you didn't need the buff, especially because Tiaris 3c gives you 20% Atk/Int anyways, and the second being that FB gives no penalty for taking all 15 turns.

I'm only have a few days left before this wish banner is gone (I'm on the last reset). I need Rechel for some bonds but I have no idea about the rest of these characters. The bottom pic is my current team, still have 4 stardusts or whatever is called to summon another hero (most likely be Ledin or Dieharte). Any recommendations for PVE, either for usefulness or bonds?

Thanks for the recommendations. I completely forgot about the destiny banner with ledin/rachel/alt. I was more worried about the expiring wish banner than thinking about the other options. Still have the beginner wish sitting there also. I'll probably just go with the destiny one for now.
Shelf is a princess buffer, used often in DE, and sometimes is useful for aoe maps or for stunning demons. Omega is a cheese master that is extremely useful at killing normal mobs and useless at bosses, but you don't have either bond. Brenda is a late game boss dps because of her act again. If you're serious about using Landius, you want Rachel and she's probably the best pick for you here but you don't really have a Yeless team anyways and Listell can be buffed by Bozel.
You might be better off rolling on the Rachel/Alte/Ledin destiny this week. If you get Alte you can just move into Strat/Empire instead. If you get Ledin just go into Glory+Tiaris, and if you get Rachel you can go into Yeless. Then you could just wait for the Lang 1/2/3 wish banner instead and roll on the Elwin/Leon/Bernhardt destiny. If you like Shining Resonance you can roll on that banner too, but there are far better banners to use your rolls on than this one.
Personally what I would do is use your Stardust on Bernhardt. Empire/Glory is just so incredibly strong throughout the game and you already have Leon. We also get a free Excella on the Shining Resonance event who is empire. Roll on the Lang1/2/3 wish and put on Liana/Ledin. Then get Elwin from the Elwin/Leon/Bernhardt banner. Eventually you're going to want to try for a second mage, preferably one buffed by Bozel or LoG/Lucretia to help with Ice Dragon and other maps that need magic damage.
NOTE
McClaine/Omega will be getting a destiny. Rachel/Lana/Tiaris also reruns decently often.
Shelfaniel/Wiler/Tree Sage's presumed last run will be coming next month.
An update on this. I got Alte from the destiny banner, meaning I'm building towards Empire/Strategic/Dark and I will get Bernhardt from the stardust. I have the beginner wish banner to further complete the teams. I'm thinking Elwin and I'm not so sure about the other one. Should I go Luna or Lana? Luna would help Strategic and Lana Dark Reincarnation. I was thinking Lana because I'm very low on magic dps and the ice dragon is starting to annoy me.

Elwin because he's good/great and bonds, all three of the L girls are also good to have but Lana less so. Look at the banner schedule and see those destiny banners to make a better decision. Those are on wikigrisser-next but it's a month behind right now I think.

You're probably right, I should plan around destiny. I'm getting a guaranteed Elwin in a month or so.
Luna, then you have a guaranteed Liana when that banner runs around.
Later this month a destiny with Shelfaniel and another with Ashemar will run,l next month, so those can help with magic damage.
Or if you're willing to burn a lot on this month, pick Luna and Lana on the beginner wish banner. Then roll for Elein later this month as he will be guaranteed (you have Leon and will get Bern).
45 days update. Freya's been doing a pretty damn good as the tank despite being SR, though it might be time to start building Landius once I get the equipment upgraded. Starting to feel the pain of not having a second healer, barely built Sophia to help out but I need Liana at this point. I think I get her guaranteed in a destiny banner in a couple of weeks. Other than that, it's been smooth sailing. Also got Shelfaniel and Light of Genesis, but I don't have the materials to build them so they are sitting on the bench for now. Thanks for reading my blog.
Light of Genesis really helps out in PvE since she has Teleport + when you get her 3C she can use an Assist Skill (such as Teleport) and Act Again after
Regarding Healers I would focus on getting Tiaris to 6* so her heals are guarantee
Would also advise to start working towards some Faction even if it means using SR characters (Tanks don't really need to be part of the Faction so you could use Landius or Freya since they brings their own Faction Buff)
Glory, Empire or Princess seems the obvious to me

Very unlikely. I don't see why they would have the ability to rollback certain accounts anyways, why they would keep a timestamp on a certain account, or if it was months ago why they would even have the ability to allow a rollback of that magnitude. Which means it would effectively be generating the SSRs for your account, and they might not even have the ability to do that on a live server, plus there's no way it's meant to be used for this.
You have to contact Almeda directly to switch link methods, they've done it so many times now for people on discord. The admins don't actually have any power and are only there because they created either a discord or subreddit. If you ask the mods they'll just tell you to ask Almeda anyways.
I don't doubt that they didn't have the function to, but they definitely added it in sometime later in 2022. You can try messaging them again, but you have to provide receipts of some sort of purchase since account number isn't enough if they're doing it manually. It's just unfortunate we're the only ones stuck with this because CN/JP/KR already have this.

She can stop first strike, which might come in handy for a cheese one day but it's unlikely. She can apply -30% damage dealt with 7 range and can stop them from landing a crit unless it's guaranteed. She has a 10% damage reduction aura that's only really relevant for ranged attacks past 3 squares or if enemies bypass guard, so the real use is when there's multiple tanks you can really stack the damage reduction.
Other than those no, she's not really unique.

Skip? Lina/Zelgadis. Both interesting units but usually I don't summon collaborations even though Lina could be very useful and I like Slayers.
Apotheosis. Just because it is a limited unit, to be honest neither the talent nor the skills convince me and, knowing Zlong, in PVE there is the risk that a large part of his kit will be nullified by various immunities as happened for Wehttam [Despair ].
I would advise against rolling Destiny banners where you don't really need the units just to fill up the roster unless you have either a ton of summons, plan on spending money, or have >90% of the roster filled out already. Especially with something like a coinflip between Sissi and Rozalia, you have to remember that wish banners are far better for collecting characters than a coinflip, and we should be getting one with the Apo banner.
If you have <50% of the roster excluding collabs, the limited banners are a fantastic chance to catch up, right behind the valentine banners. If you really want Slayers, you should plan at least 300 summons as a backup plan, because I've seen so many people miss a collab and just quit because they're unlikely to come back.
Across the 6 months, we'll collect around 600-700 summons. If you cut out a sizable chance to get Slayers at 300, that leaves you with 300-400 summons. It's very easy to hit pity twice or thrice in a row and suddenly find you won't have enough to summon on a more important banner, but one strat I like to do is summon up to 50 or so, and if I don't get them early use the pity on the important banner.
Unless you PvP, Oldius and Julian are not going to come in handy. If you really need them, they'll come back eventually or you can use a wish banner on them. Ashemar is good, but if you're only using her to unlock Lostham's bonds, it's not worth it unless you're PvPing with him. Helena is a must pull if you're starting up Ragnarok, or even just anytime, because she's incredibly versatile. Sissi/Rozalia I would pull too, because Sissi isn't that bad for PvE while Rozalia is another must pull. Don't go for McClaine, Azusa isn't the same as the other two, but she's amazing also.
If you want those 3, you already have to set aside at least 200 summons, if not 300 at worst. I would skip Kertesz as he's not that useful in PvE anyways, but if you already have both Slayers characters, you're probably safe.
Also I guess my summons are pretty simple. Get guaranteed Ashumere, then roll Slayers and Apo. If I get any of the new releases on the Apo banner as a bonus then good. If not I'll probably use the wish banner on Michel/Lugner, since we can't get the newer ones, while seeing what else is available in the future.

Flier Class has higher ATK and MDEF and unlocks the ATK bond which is Excella's main bond. Lancer class has more HP and DEF and unlocks DEF bond.
Honestly, I like the lancer class sprite better, but in this game 90% of the time offense is the best defense.

My current guild is interested in one of the first three places, the previous one instead had only the goal of conquering the capital and it took us at least a week to finish the DE and as boring as it was, it wasn't as boring as finishing it in a day
Are you playing on SEA? Well there's two different problems anyways. First is that DE wasn't buffed to compensate for Ragnarok stats and Guild Techs, so at this point your own units are too strong to be unable to clear the capital. Second is that the first DE was an absolute mess because it was ranked only on magic ore, but they didn't limit the amount of magic ore, so it was decided just by whichever guild could stack parties the hardest on the outer nodes to overkill more.
They could buff the stats, but honestly it's not like DE is a paragon of game design. It's just randomized TT laws. I'd rather that new mode for the higher level guild techs actually have non-randomized design and actual planning beyond having to clear the capital in a day.

Done for a while. TR 22 was released in like Jan 2022 and CN still hasn't gotten a new TR. They did show that they're going to fill in the missing Tensei characters, so it's possible we get a Tensei TR eventually, or possibly a Langrisser Millennium TR since it's apparently going to have a retelling in Mobile. Neither are really long term plans so I assume after they're really done with all the games, they're going to milk something else for the stages like Betty Route in L1 or make up originals.

Zlong should stop putting useless units into destiny banners. Lightbringer is the grand prize and Ricky is not bad either but Caroline is trash especially for those only interested in PVE. Luckily I have Caroline but Apotheosis and SP Bernie come first
35 oil and shorts until I'm finally done with the aniki grind, well there are a few niche soldiers I want to level eventually and the bunch of useless ones. I feel like those two are the drops that you need the most of.
I’m done with the stat grind of Aniki, but there are still some troops I want to max out just in case I need them. Course that probably isn’t the best use of my gold, since there are pretty niche troops.

I have been accumulating aniki materials for some time because I honestly don't know what to upgrade. I've read the various specific skills for each class and some don't seem like a good investment since I don't use certain soldiers and some are activated only in particular conditions. I'd also like to upgrade some soldiers like Giant Zombie (for Autokrato and Epsilon) and Poison Bat Mage (for Bozel, Patsyr, GiTS, Gustav, AO and Saintess).
Sorcs do the job if you aren't attacking an undebuffed enemy. Giant Zombies are cool, but when are you using Autokrato and Pepsi in PvE? Stick to the basics, which are upgrading the skills, starting with damage increase and attack then damage decrease and def/mdef. Those "particular conditions" should be seen less as a restriction and more as an incentive to try and fulfill them, or they're covering for some other weakness. Which skills are you missing in particular? Like sure you could forgo the Lancer tech for 20% def/mdef on non-defensive terrain and it probably wouldn't matter, especially if you're not regularly running tanks anymore and if you've heavily invested into Pepsi such that he would be better than someone else on a Rag stage, then go ahead and max Zombies.
Or just max the HP and defenses. There's a ton of aoe on boss stages and having the extra troop alive after an aoe before healing makes a difference in damage too.
Are you doing pvp? Heck even if you are it's better to just focus on hero coverage with troops and focus on as much damage as you can get from passives and maybe some defensive ones for your tanks troop type. Once you do that you can either focus on getting 80% or troops/less useful passives. As someone who basically focused on getting 80% soon after those nodes were unlocked I highly recommend against touching those black holes. I think I took a good majority of a year to max all of them out without flag.

Magic only if you’re going for AB rankings, and even then maybe it’s clock instead if you want to rng it. PvE yeah, just a normal build. Apex she can use Night Bloom in some situations because her 3c and 2c cleansing a debuff is useful for counter aoe rush even more. She can also use Draupnir since she’s a 4 range mage for cheese. Her accessories are actually pretty open because her 3c will one shot anyone without Bozel/Luna tier mdef basically.

SPs break the lore anyways since there's no way Bernhardt even knew about Alhazard before meeting Bozel, and he was already older at that time. SP Bern's lore means that he most likely never established Rayguard in his timeline, and obtains Alhazard through some other means since he's conquered the Dragon tribes in Velzeria. Alternatively, turning into a dragon just makes you look younger because they live longer and this version is after L2 Empire and he's invading/conquered Velzeria.

After checking out the Shizuka video length I figured I was fine skipping. Especially when it sounds so RNG dependent to even following along.
Just skip the mechanic. Run down to the Hunter and stun him unless you can tank 10 attacks. Since you don’t kill any minions you don’t have to bother with the cold shit. The AA and 20% stats are to make up for people who need the extra dps.

either way, only ended up tanking 2-4 the entire stage due to all of the stuns or things being killed at ranage. once the final phase hit, neither the boss or his doppelganger got a chance to move after their revive
cherie + baldr refresh helped smooth out the times I couldn't get an astaroth stun with log / lucretia + liana act again.
I used Bern instead of Sonya. You actually have a bit of leeway here because Hilda can stop act agains and I don't think the video optimized the AAs on Florentia. I had two dogs and the giant aggro onto me instead because of positioning and still managed to clear on 16. Also bringing Bern+Lancer Hilda wastes like 1 turn because I didn't get down as fast, but obviously Bern's aura and FB adds a lot of survivability and damage.

for some reason I didn't even consider moving away from the NPC, I figured him being attacked repeatedly would be a game over, but oddly enough he's completely avoidable. kudos to them for giving the player some leeway I suppose
I've tried rushing downward like that and only managed to get stuck in a loop of freeze-stuns by the time twins unfrozen and then they just proceeded to erase me off the map
You only get frozen if you have 10 stacks or more. How are you even getting to 10 stacks? You shouldn't be killing anything within 3 spaces of your units and you only kill any mobs on the first turn. The only way you get frozen is if the boss hits you twice, since he give 5 stacks when he enters battle. But again, that's why this strat is for people who can brute force. With a strong covenant, none of your units should even be getting hit twice.

Everyone was getting 1 stack per turn. I've killed the Giant on the right side but also aggroed the first wolf though (by going too close to the water i guess) and the second giant
Also i clearly saw "immune to "cannot act again"" buff on the Wild Hunters while they were frozen, didn't check after since he erased me with 10 AAs while i got stuck with frozen units

They're immune to the can't act again debuff, but terrain effects bypass immunity. You should also be hitting the boss immediately after he wakes up if you can't surround him on Hilda's terrain to reduce the amount of AAs.
Any tips from the last voyage? I haven't gone past floor 10 since the first one and haven't even bothered to make it to 10 the last two. My first 4 hero sets were also pretty damn garbage.

And damage stacking, yes. That's pretty much the things you need to do the Voyage. Also Juggler for a tank is almost always optimal choice in my expirience. I don't remember if Rozenciel is allowed in there

Are wish list banners the same as a normal rate up banner, just for the heroes you pick? 40/40/20? Used one to get Virash for bonds (what a bland kit this guy has) and got him over Brenda, don't want to keep summoning on it for Helena's def bond.
Same rules as a rate up, the only difference is that you decide which units to summon. I'm guess it's lang IV and V banner, if you haven't used the two resets you could reset and put Brenda and one more unit you need.
yeah I had her on there with Virash, contemplating Brenda/Rainforce. I have 60+ tickets and 22k+ crystals, but want to grow that stash for upcoming collab, possible Rosalia (have bonds), and SP Bern. dry on a lot of resources anyway, and I'm guessing the wish list banners are here to stay as a way for them to make room on destiny banners
I'll keep that in mind if I get his bonds (missing Rain), but have plenty of other bruiser / melee attackers to build up in the mean time
His skills are bland, but his casting+3c lets him shine a bit in content where you get a 40% buff like Ragnarok. Your soldier attacks matter a bit less there and his casting lets him get all his attacks off before dying if the boss doesn't have first strike. With a 2x multiplier skill, 50% phys talent, 614 base attack and 5% from casting, he can hit some pretty big numbers.

Yes, double Gaea used to be bis on Ledin if you just wanted pure counter damage, with Fujin replacing the chest when it came out. Frontier now replaced Fujin.

Clock is probably good in PvE actually yeah, I guess people just don’t like building two sets for her or swapping hers around.

I imagine they either don't want to swap equipment, or want to add more to her kit since she's one of the few characters that can boost her own movement outside of what you can normally see

It's a lot of extra threat range if breeze procs, opponent has to keep in mind her 7 range + bonuses from tiles after chiv. 10% damage is also 10% damage. Heck some people even use magic on her, or used, I'd assume that phase is over.
If it's just dicking around in pve then bring literally anything, that one equipment dude even recommends double red for purely pve. Not sure if the math actually checks out on that, especially if a character that can maintain FM, but I don't follow said recommendation.
I'm starting to get pretty tired of the bullshit in the challenges. I've tried the forth challenge I don't know how many times now. I don't have Odin on first turn, I don't have Helena, I don't have enough sources of fixed damage and I can't oneshot minions in enemy phase, everything I try goes wrong and if I try to do it following the mechanics of the map I get wiped out due to too much damage. Did they raise the stats check? In the past I've never had all these problems with the fourth challenge.
I beat it using Shizuka's method and have less stats than his set up, at least in soldier training.
Do you have access to stuns, SP Cherie, Bernhardt, strong Route characters, or any Astaroth's + 4 range mages? I found if I could tank the boss's first intro, I could keep him stunned with mages, Cherie, and Baldr as a CD refresh / wave clear when needed. Hilda also stops his Act Again if you have her
Baldr works pretty well for clearing out add waves if you're not avoiding them altogether

You always buy vouchers and SSR box, then dump the rest into the Random box (i've got Plushy out of it recently, and something else long ago, don't remember what but it was useful iirc. Don't have any hopes it's just dump option mostly)

That will be 99.9999% SSR accessory rolls, don’t worry about it. Anything useful is either Christmas miracle or you parting with your money.
If you do AI arena 5 times a day and are 1900+, you should have enough to buy the random box occasionally. If you have 4.5k saved before the monthly reset, you can dump 3k coins into the random box. The chances of an SSR acc are 10%, so it's not that bad but given the chances between SSR and SSR+ you shouldn't expect to get anything specific unless it's common.

The ones I'm looking at leveling right now in no particular order are Cyborg, Dragoon, Heavensguard, Falcon and Heiro. Kinda considering Zombies since I saw Shizuka use Epsilon in a Ragnarok stage but I'd have to build him and that's probably not worth it just for a single Ragnarok stage.
Go for the T4s. Newly released troops usually have much better stat spreads and effects but are used by less units.

30% atk/crit, and rng 25% phys damage reduction. Sometimes brought on Lanford/Brenda/Wataru/Elaine/Sonia. Also has base 4 move to pair up with unique classes.
Hoplite - Tech pick in Apex, that's it.

Well rounded, but the counter is only for themselves, not the unit. 20% damage reduction, but there are far better lancers for tanking. They get pigeonholed into increasing counter damage for Landius/Werner/Emilia/Sonia while also maintaining some bulk. or are an option for ranged squishies to try and counter kill while also surviving, but that's unlikely.
>Dragoon, Heavensguard, Lizard
Heavensguard are squish, but are widely available and have a 45% damage increase only conditioned on movement. Dragoons are just for a physical option for Cherie on maps you can't use unicorns. Lizards are decently available, but their 45% increase relies on enemies not being next to each other, so they're a PvE pick.

Busted units. 30% attack, 47 base attack. They come overstatted and even bring along a secondary effect of 30% reduction on attack. Only contingent on having higher movement than the enemy, but Fliers have 5 move anyways. Don't bring them to bosses like Sleipnir.

Use for Lambda and Suzette.

Also busted. Archer with 45 base attack, unconditional 30% attack, and 15% def ignore if you or enemy is on def terrain because why not. Also is overstatted so they actually have slightly higher bulk because why not again.

you're probably better off ore'ing it. seal guardian is common and easy to upgrade with dupes, plus elwin typically wants his exclusive to upgrade to his SP form
if you're still doing dragons, epic martial spirits are probably pretty tight, and you wouldn't see much use past dragons, which are early-mid level content at this point

Opinions about SP Hein? Is it worth the cost in runestones and controllers or not?
He's interesting to use, but he feels so replaceable in glory or empire teams. He could potentially stand in for light of genesis if you can't roll her, due to his teleport and slightly improved range on his Arcane Tome single target skill. He's pretty mid tier as far as SP characters go, but with the advantage of getting him easily to 6* beforehand. I think he's useful for Scylla if you occasionally need to beat her, or haven't done the 70 yet.
I have most of the long range mages except Lana, Mariandel, Noemi and Leobeck but apart from Lucretia and LoG they all have 5* and in several cases SP Hein has higher stats and is easier to use so I was wondering if it was worth building he. Mostly I would use it for Ragnarok.
SP Narm, there is no archer better than her and you may not unlock the pegasus master class as it only increases survival stats.
SP Freya is a good tank and pretty much the best FB for Origin. You could also only use Freya SR but in SP class she has more damage reduction and thanks to redeemers the chance to revive at least once.
SP Lewin isn't bad but it depends on what other Origin units you have. I only built him because I had no DPS for Origin apart from Luna but if you have Azusa, Oboro, Lostham, in my opinion you can not build him.
SP Grenier is not bad but it costs a lot since you also have to upgrade Bolt ranger to get a good damage reduction and therefore also a large part of the archer / assassin training. The advantage of SP Gren is that in case you don't have ranged tanks with the related bonds, he is a good alternative to face the second half of act 2.
It is a pity that Zlong has stopped doing SP for SR and R but surely they have noticed that does not bring any income since in the end they are free SSR units.
He's completely skippable if you have any other of the top tier mages, but he's a definite improvement over his baseline. I SP'd him to flesh out my roster a little bit for Covenant & RoR battles, but he isn't a must have like Cherie or Elwin.
Since someone asked already are any of the non SSR SPs worth it? I see quite a few people using SP Lewin and occasionally SP Hein in challenging content.

idk about ledin, but SP-Hein is highly underrated in PVE imo.

Also, Freya is a core for many cheese strats for many Ragnarok levels and boss fights.
I think the most useful for me has been Narm, and I recommend her. She gets a huge movement boost, permanent Roundabout, and plains movement. She's excellent cheese, Glory/Princess teams are very strong, and she's awesome in a lot of challenge content due to her versatility, and she's a great addition to rush teams in auto-arena for helping get your extra crystals. She's been very relevant in late game content like ancient beckoning, ragnarok, covenants, etc.
Upgrading Freya will help with Thor's final stage, and her Twisted Fate / What If stage if you haven't done that yet.
I have SP Hein, I just have better mages so he hasn't seen a ton of use. Lewin also seems to be a huge upgrade, but I haven't converted him yet.

Noob question, Leon's talent, your attack/defense increases the more blocks you move before attacking. Does chivalry resets the talent? Like, I move 5 blocks, activate chivalry and move 3 more to attack. The talent will only count the blocks I move after chivalry or the whole 8 blocks?
Yes, it counts as a new turn so it resets.

Probably shoulda mentioned I have Narm and Grenier. Narm was useful from time to time even without her SP and Grenier I probably could have ignored but he's been useful on occasion.
Alright, I'm done Frick this dog and frick this kusoge "just stat creep and roll the best units". Everything I've tried never gets past the 2nd vexation, I could steal with the lack of debuffs or the attack buff stacking, I can't deal with both. Thor will stay at 90% and that's that.
I didn't clear that until clearing it ended up giving more exp than necessary to get Thor to 70. Pretty sure I used non SP Freya and Bern mainly for fixed procs to get rid of the adds.

Due to the random spawn of wolves, balanced blade is very useful if you are using Bernhardt and/or Clotaire. Freya with EE, SP is not needed but increases survivability, is one of the most useful unit. To "tank" the ST Shred skill you can use units with Shrine maiden, if you manage to take out all the wolves the hit shouldn't be strong enough. Because of the AoE skill Rozenciel is one of the best healers and can use shrine maiden. Eliminating the wolves as soon as possible and blocking/decreasing Fenrir's movement are the most important things to survive.
If I remember correctly I completed Thor 10-3 after Odin hit lv 70 and Frigg 10-3 recently and still have to complete all other 10-3 left. Simply put, sometimes you just have to wait to get the right stuff, unfortunately that's one of the main problems with the game.

Come on, most of the modern units wouldn't even help with this one. I think I did it with SP Freya, Bern, Licorice, Bozel, Rozen?, and maybe SP Lewin.
Also since there was SP Hein discussion right before this, this is one of the maps where you can his use second specialty, which is a mobility-2 terrain combined with Emerick. Or you could use Narm for just the mobility down, but Hein does a bit of fixed damage too. You want to kill the Wolves before they enter battle, which means weakening them so Freya's fixed damage pre-battle kills them. We actually have Sigil of Storms now which helps more, but you don't need it. Put on the ranged counter armor and her exclusive and she does like 5k fixed damage before battle. Don't guard against Vexation, use either a tankier unit or Shrine Maidens to tank against it. Rozen can alongside debuff prevention. If you don't have Rozen, Bern will tank it just fine too tbh.

Breeze is +10% damage no ifs or buts and a chance for +3 mobility, it's generally the best enchant for any offensive unit unless they can squeeze more out of crits for instance.
Your other options are Clock, which sounds like a waste on LoG because her talent is practically Shelfaniels' cooldown skip + she constantly AAs milling her skills super fast anyway. And Rough Sea, which imo is situational, mostly for character that want more than one "main" stat to increase.
Magic is literally Breeze minus +3 mobility and +5% to AoE. That's not her choice either
Oh, I see. My main issue with breeze was that half my characters already use it and I'm always struggling to get more breeze enchants. But I can see the benefit of easily swapping equipment and since the difference in damage doesn't look that much, I'll stick to breeze then as much as I can. Kinda shitty that half the enchants get overshadowed like this, they could buff them up a little to make it more even.
Breeze is basically on literally everyone. The characters that don't use it best aren't very many, especially in PVE. Pretty much only conversion tanks, Luna, Omega, healers and characters that can keep themselves healthy for full moon don't opt for it. I honestly only have magic on Shelf since aoe is literally the only thing she does. Clock is on Sakura and Bozel simply because I cba to re-enchant, especially in Bozels case, with Kaguya being the only one I have clock on purposfully.
Of course there's that equipment sheet dude who says stats are king in PVE and you should double red everyone that can't use full moon or maybe rough sea. There's no way I'd check the math for that though.
Beating it wasn't hard but autoing it was incredibly frustrating.
Breeze makes it easier to swap equipment between characters since most probably have breeze in the first place. Magic has a far rarer multiplier so it will generally never lose to breeze unless the enemy has high damage reduction. Especially in cases where you use a covenant like Baldr or Odin, who give upwards of 150% damage dealt, Magic will do like 4% more than Breeze. On the other hand if you're hitting someone with 50% damage reduction, Magic will do like 5% less damage. TJess will generally never be attacking without a skill either, so unless you need the mobility, Magic will generally do more damage against PvE bosses who don't usually bring damage reduction. But, it's a really small difference since without Covenant skills it's like a 2% difference most of the time and you're effectively forgoing PvP where +2 mobility is a huge difference.

Do you have the bonds or at least the ATK bond? Considering Way of the law and Ragnarok probably future PVE modes may no longer use factions so the more usable units you have the better. Going into more detail, Brenda is strong (590 ATK at 6*), AA and has useful skills. Julian isn't bad either, once the talent is activated he is practically Elwin with a bow.
If in doubt, post the units you have, maybe there are others that deserve to be upgraded before them
I have all bonds for both, it's the main reason I'm thinking of spending shards on them over vanity projects like Hiei as the better units (Lostham, Awakener, Kaguya) I don't have bonds for and I don't want to go back and waste runs on doing the bonds over having then ready in 1 go and sharding from there like everything else. Pretty much every good unit for PvE whose bonds I own are 6* except for Altemueller, but he seems completely powercrept even with SP in shit like Ragnarok so I'd just save those resources.
Brenda is nice, the only problem is that her low cd skills are kinda eh. If you have a mostly phys team then the -30% def is useful for everyone that goes after her.
Any beginner tips for endless voyage? Specific characters / skills / combos I should be looking out for?
Pick up either Estelle or Tiaris 3c. Go ST, aoe is useful for trash mobs, but it has rarely been useful for bosses. Gearwise, stats are more important than the effect. This means making sure your characters are fully geared over picking rare shit. Try to pick up a few act again characters or skills, usually it’s only Shalltears 1c or Brenda. Try to not go 3 phys or magic so some skills you pick up won’t be completely useless. Lucretia is still OP because her talent brings her puppet. Jugler is easily the safest tank because you will very rarely dedicate more than 1 healer slot and you would rather they bring utility over 2 or 3 aoe heals. Jugler will cut down on aoe damage dramatically. Or if you can rng his talent. Tactics wise just put in a good balance of multipliers. 2 int/2 damage dealt or magic, etc. don’t just all in on stats or damage increase. Brenda talent is op too obviously. Don’t miss the temple of mights or stores.

If you're interested you can have fun looking back at past threads or discord/reddit to see the complaining on that map. Spawned so many funny complaints about the AI and how Dieharte is dumb as a rock. Although nowadays with shit like Bozel 3c you can stomp the map pretty easily with aoe. Good to see the new player experience still allows for bad level design appreciation.
I actually enjoy the struggle and the game constantly pushing you to strategize, though this is the first time it became frustrating, I don't like the type of maps where you have to protect moving npcs, if I'm gonna lose, I like it to be because of my own moronation. But yeah, I imagine the game becomes a joke once you start unlocking 3c and spamming the whole map, so I better savor it while it last.

SP Cherie is still one of the best characters in the game, and SP Lana is good. But it might be a year before you can even worry about SP classes, they really take forever to get enough resources for. Most of the better princess characters are newer. I honestly have no idea which of the upcoming characters are going to be any good instead, though.
I don't know why I built Lanford, probably thought I needed Heavy Infantry at the time. Also realized I barely have ssr's, aside from those on screen, there's just Listell down below and that's it.

Tiaris, Cherie, Luna, and Shelfaniel are worth using Gate of Fate runs for 6* still nowadays. Tiaris is obvious, Luna mostly still as a minimum requirement for the hard content you'll use her in, Cherie's SP is basically balanced with the assumption you 6'd her, and Shelfaniel's 3c, the reason you'd use her, is balanced around her talent. Coast on destinies for a while to build up your roster.

Certainly seems that way. Not saying you should abandon your old account, but keep playing with the new one also if you can. I'm a new player and got all these (last character was from an event), not even 2 months in. My luck wasn't good either, went to pity pull several times already, but it feels the game is more generous to new players than it was before.

What unit do you have? Apart from Dieharte, all the others can be useful.
Ledin is a good melee tank (both magic and physical), a FB for Glory and doesn't need SSR bonds but doesn't have revive and ranged guard.
Bernhardt is the FB for Empire and quite useful when it comes to challenges that require fixed damage as well as can function as a physical tank but needs Leon (DEF) and Bozel (ATK).
Landius is the FB for Yeless, a decent ranged tank but needs specific soldiers (this is a cost if you're f2p) and needs Rachel (ATK).
Altemuller is a FB for Strategy and a decent tank and attack unit and doesn't need SSR bonds. I honestly would never recommend him unless you have GoF to waste. If you use him as a FB he loses a slot for the FB skill, as a tank he can only tank physical attacks, all his attack skills have a long CD except one.
These are my current ssr's - new ones are Yulia and Rozalia + uncle Bernie from the fusion stardust bag. And now I'm out of resources to build em up, xp pots, hammers and gears and months of gates (Tiaris will be 6* in 2days so that's a huge load off my shoulders), at least my princess team has two new members and I can actually start saving up crystals and vouchers. Thanks for all the tips guys, really appreciate it.
Some advice
For now, use the resources you have only for the upgrades of the 5-6 units you use in the various challenges, later you will have resources for others too.
Don't overlook the SR units and the starting trio. Narm is the best archer, Vargas is a good physical tank, Freya has the FB for Origins and a decent tank, Matthew has the FB for Protagonist and can be useful both as infantry and as cavalry, Almeda can be useful for those maps where you need more than one healer plus debuffs, Grenier has the FB for Glory and is a decent tank. Given the units you have you may be forced to build Lewin to face some challenges that require infantry and Origins units or Kirikaze if you manage to get Dieharte.
When trying to get a unit, always check what bonds it requires
If you decide to build Yulia, know that she needs 6* and unfortunately Zerida for the ATK bond.
For Bernie you need Leon (DEF) and Bozel (ATK), two good units obtainable on destiny banner.
Rachel, Listell and Lanford need Landius for the ATK bond but Listell converts MDEF to ATK so she can do without it.
Rozalia needs Ares (ATK) and Maiya (DEF).
Tiaris needs Dieharte (ATK) and Gerold&Layla (DEF)
Don't build niche soldiers for now, just focus on those shared between units you own. In general, at the beginning it is better to upgrade lancer, flier and holy/demon/mage.

Def doing that now I'm kinda free'd up from rolling atm, checking out these wishlist banners and stuff for bond reqs heroes.
I'm also seeing the potential of the two new girls - Yulia is an excellent decoy to lure mobs in as she'll survive the first hit (Luna was my previous 'puller' but now I use her as my main faction buffer since she can cycle the buff with wind speed for almost perm uptime) and Rozalia is just a monster brawler. I checked both their passives at 6* and man it's so good but yeah, this is gonna take a while huh.
My angels are at lv8 since I mainly used Cherie and Angelina as my flyers, but now I'm kinda wanting to switch to Griffin Knights(lv4) since Cherie and Rozalia use them and I think the latter will perform better than Ange in the long run.
Yulia has Heavy Infantry, which reminds me to build up some HI heroes once the princess team is at a comfortable power level.
And thanks for the heads up on the sr's, I do have them 'kinda' built up since I had noone else at the time I was playing, but glad to hear they're still pulling their weight.
Rozalia uses holy knights, which you've probably built up for Luna. Keep that in mind as well.
Bernhardt is also getting a SP soon, and while he's already pretty useful, his 3c faction buff is godly for the already overpowered Empire. Landius and Altemuller are still nice for their faction buffs since they don't have good alternatives, but they've both been powercrept. Landius is the better of the two, and does have a chance to be saved since he hasn't gotten his SP yet. I could see Ledin be useful for a while, but he's outclassed even by SP Grenier of all people in PvE now. He does have his pretty unique 3c which lets you grab a unit and lock it down if it's not guarded.
tl;dr Bern has more usefulness for a FB, Landius can still work if you want to run Yeless sometimes and want to gamble on his SP class and skills down the line

Depends on who you have. The largest change is probably covenants, which are super units you can summon in most PvE content and they provide some passive stats/effects. We have a town/farming mode now that gives a few nice bonuses. More rotating events, like Endless Voyage which is a roguelike, Dawnlight Bastion which is a tower defense, Skyline Tactics, which is autochess, etc. If you still haven't completed Eternal Temple yet, that's still there. Also one of the only simultaneous progression systems they added, sort of, is casting nodes. You just farm and it gives more stats and one passive skill if the character has it released. Most of the stuff is just more time rifts, newer characters, more story, more skins etc. We also have SP classes now for some protags/starting SSRs. Some are minor upgrades, while some are huge upgrades and turn them into some of the best units in the game like Cherie.
Oh 5 months is way farther back, so there's more changes like the level cap increasing from 60 to 70. They added 3 cost skills to every units except Rs, and almost every unit has a prf equipment they use to try and rebalance a few units. Not sure sweeps were in the 5 month time frame, but you can sweep dailies and guild stuff now. A lot more troops/equipment added.

I'm starting to think that Zlong are starting to scrape the barrel, they no longer know how to invent "fair" PVE challenges. I'm trying to complete the new chapters of the story and the buffs that the enemies have are worse stuff than forbidden battleground and voyage. Starting positions of the units are disadvantageous and most of the time you are surrounded, buffs that block the class advantage, passive skills that increase the movement of all enemies, revive given to anyone, etc. This is a strategy game, the problem is that if you block talents and class advantage and don't give the possibility to position units, every challenge becomes just a stats check. If the new Interstellar mode and act 4 are at these levels I really think I'll leave the game, my units even manage to do decently in Ragnarok.

A handful of skills give HP shields to units, signified by a second yellow HP bar overlaying on top of the normal one. It's a really rare mechanic in normal gameplay; the first instance was held by Kreuger, I think. Recently, it's given out most frequently by either covenants (Heimdall gives shields to everyone on spawning, Loki gives one to himself) or various unique skills in Voyage.
I'm mostly confused by that Voyage tactic that increases stats "when unit has a shield", but i also see it in Amadeus' 3C as a Command part.
Seems mindbogglingly stupid to have a command that works practically only on Grenshiel AFTER her 3C IF she's around him and also maybe Kreuger
Voyage has a lot more ways to give someone a shield. There's one set of equipment that gives a shield if you have the top+head, the team skill that gives a shield to lancers, there's a 1c that gives everyone in two spaces around you a shield. And of course, you can pick up Dark shield or other talents that give a shield.
As for Amadeus, it's because he gives himself a shield. So the command is mainly to give himself another +10% attack, and as a bonus since he's a newer unit they decided to slap it on as a 3 block command instead.

If you're talking about the floor 15 assassin or samurai spawn or something, I'm pretty sure he has Super Gale instead of normal gale, which is 100%.
Just found out that Loki can actually receive the effects of FB after he transforms even though he's a covenant, so you can actually give any FB to any unit now. Wanted to see how hard Ryo can hit with a fully stacked Elwin FB? Now you can.

Another fun thing with him is that his transform acts as the end of action after he transforms so with say Grenshiel or Yani2 he transforms and instantly FBs without the need to do anything, and in case of Yani2 can also curse 2 units as usual. Or if its Helena he will put ironwalls and petal storm on transform.
Overall, i really like him, fun summon unlike dumbass Tyr

Because that's just by strongest hero power. So the top is basically people just picking units that have high base stats and skills that give more power while just resetting/sweeping through.
If you go to the shore rankings you can see their actual comp. For example, #1 and #2 on the hero rankings are # 2 and #5 on the beach party rankings, where they're obviously using a different and more well optimized team.
The ranking in voyage is poorly done, especially the challenges, players who have never reset have a lower rank than those who have even more than one reset. It is better not to think about it and enjoy the mode, especially because this is one of the best voyages.
After hitting pity summon 3 times in a row and scraping every bit of crystals I could manage to get, I finally got Liana. Jesus frick, that was a hard grind but finally got my second healer. While Tiaris is good, if she's not 6*, it's very unreliable and it will get you killed eventually. Doesn't matter, the pain is over.

Should've stopped after rolling one SSR on the destiny. Liana is Lang 2 so she'll appear on an Oathsworn literally every month, and 1/2 with another character you want is way better than 1/3 if you already have Bozel or Luna. Could've just stop gapped with Sophia instead who scales well into late game.

The choice to change the protagonists is terrible especially because the new trio are all SSR and none free and I had grown fond of the previous protagonists.
I read about the new DE and I didn't understand anything, it's true that the old one was exhausting, but the new one is absurd, I hope someone in Global makes a guide before it starts.
She's not horrible but she's nothing special, she improves as a healer and continues to be a debuffer that allows others to debuff. Considering what Almeda is capable of doing in story mode, her SP is pretty disappointing aside from the artwork. Honestly, it is not worth building her if you are not a veteran player, the other players would be better off spending the necessary resources on other SP, even SP Hein is more useful than her if we consider the endgame.

How did they manage to make DE worse? Shared server rankings and it’s individual, time locked map so only the last unlock matters yet ranking is still speedbased, only 10 people for the top reward, and it requires even more grinding throughout the event instead of just the first day. Also the new dps is pretty busted.

If you already have Altemuller 6*, he could be useful, otherwise I don't recommend him, you can invest GoF and resources on something else. I built him for Forbidden Battleground in case I couldn't get Grenshiel, and I did get J&C. However the SP has 596 ATK, and in content where you don't need his FB or he can be buffed by other units he can make a difference, especially with enchants breeze.
SP Lewin has become a stable unit in my Origins team, good ST skills, good AoE skill and the ability to tank (if you spend an additional runestone). The only unit I can think of at the moment that has two dispel skills is Sword of Light and Shadow in addition to Elwin.

Not for PvE in particular, also note that Jack is free. Apotheosis is the only limited, and he's built for longer stuff (in theory) compared to Wettham. Not particularly necessary for PvE.

It's literally Twilight Guard but with 15%AoE famage reduction instead of mdef. A straight upgrade if you wear TG for better heals

Roland can be a 4 range mage for Protagonist but his unique skills depend on his talent.
Precia is not bad and has useful ST skills.
Nemia 3c passive allows her to have 4 ranges under certain conditions
Andriole doesn't look bad and since he has good talent, all ST skills and good stats, in PVE he shouldn't be bad.
Eshean seems more of a support unit than DPS and has several useful generic ST skills.
Hoffman...all of his unique attack skills are AoE although he can use decent generic ST.
In fact the problem is this, most of the talents and particular effects of the skills are useless due to immunities, so the best thing to do is to look at the stats, the range, if the unit has good ST skills and if it has DI and/or DR.
If I remember correctly, there is already immunity to stuns and any effect that prevents the enemy from performing actions while immunity to class changes should have been added after Saintess.

Honestly, with how rare they've gotten, and the recent poll with Feraquea, Varna and Imelda suggesting that instead of SPs, they want to just release alternate versions of existing characters as new ones on gacha banners instead, I think they just want to retire the SP mechanic entirely, and SP Almeda is indeed supposed to be a monkey's paw to scare people off of wanting more SPs.

She’s not spectacular because she’s not the next designated power creep, just like a lot of recent characters aren’t either.
If anything, she’s even expanded a bit upon like Hein with her own spellbook that gives her a damage skill even if you kit her for fulltime healing job.
She’s just her own gimmicky thing much like most of characters are really, even though i too am massively disappointed with her.
As for evolutions, i speculate that it all comes from these portal-shmortal alternate timeline realities we are seeing with Milky and her Timeleap stories and
alternative kids and
“King of Sin” from the trailer looking an awful lot like Ilzach.
I think they’re going for “Langrisser if…” kind of thing, which is a direction i unironically like the idea of. And if that’s true then it makes sense these alternate characters might be way too unrelated to make an SP. Like idk think holy Feraquea on a path of redemption, Imelda that overthrew Bernhardt, tyrant and despot Cherry. Shit could be really silly and fun if they actually go for that

Almeda is a hybrid unit and her SP continues on this path, the problem is that she will cost 4000 crystals which for what is offered is too much. As demonstrated in story mode and Voyage, Almeda has the potential to be a good DPS mage if she has the right skills and stats. Zlong preferred to make SP Meme Almeda rather than SP Almeda, unlike SP Matthew, at least the artwork isn't bad and it's Langrisser. 2c has two rounds of CD so, unless they change the casting skill it has the same problem as Mass Crystal Heal with the difference that almeda has no other ways to increase immunity stacks.
From what I read on discord it is the fault of the Chinese players if the SPs are no longer so frequent and probably because Zlong have understood that they do not lead to any profit given that the only players who can build them are those who have already accumulated the necessary resources and for a whale 4000 crystals are nothing.
Summoning and then spending vouchers and crystals for a slightly improved unit is worse than an SP for the players but certainly more profitable for Zlong.
Honestly, after reading Kaguya's casting skill I almost lost the little faith I had in Zlong, players practically have to pay to have a semi-functioning unit only because the developers made wrong choices (conscious or not).

Whew. And then she can proceed with 2c (fixed damage, combat with 20%mdef ignore, dispels 3 debuffs from allies, heals allies, reduces cooldown) and she can 1C and go back on rotation.
The bad part is her 1C has too long a cooldown. Maybe if it was 1 turn you could at least see if you can do something to help her inch closer to the middle and get her in, but as it stands, eh...
Still, i really enjoy more complicated characters like her, i feel like i'm gonna waste my resource building her just for fun.
In my opinion she is a good unit for PVE whether she is balanced or not and she is new player friendly since she doesn't need SSR bonds, she doesn't need stars or setup turns for 4 ranges, she has a good selection of generic skills and she has good stats (albeit lower than other long range mages). Her biggest flaws are the factions (Origins, Yeless and Mythical are not factions you build at the start) and the fact that in DPS only maps you can't use her full potential and you need scepter of divinity for 4 ranges. I've already started using her at 3* with only one class unlocked and she's not doing badly, probably as soon as she reaches at least 5* I'll try to use her in Ragnarok instead of SP Lana (I don't have her).

getting to silver 2 in world arena gives 10 crystals a day, and you will easily end up in top 100 by that point.
making sure you have 2k total points daily in auto arena gives you 20 crystals a day
put together that's 380 crystals a week if you get to silver 2 each monday, and thus 1520 a month. keep in mind you get 100 a week from winning 5 wa matches a week, even casual mode, and that's an extra 400 a month. so up to 1920. and if you're getting enough wins in auto arena to get 12 points a day, that's 15 crystals a day, 105 a week and 420 a month. so 2340 a month just from those 2 arena modes.
and that ignores sources like timeless trials, logins, or giveway codes/share
it adds up a decent bit as long as you hold tight to your crystals. for example, i have over 360 rolls just in crystals due to various sources like the above mentioned, and don't go below that even when spending some tickets here or there on a destiny guarantee. keep your tickets close, and you should climb even higher.
According to Banner News on discord, Slayers will be on 16/11/2023. If Global changed the schedule it could be released a week earlier maximum two, but we haven't had any changes for a while.

So, very dumb question. How do you deal with the macho blast? I'm wiping the floor with the level 65 dragons at this point but the level 60 macho blast always nuke a character or two. Is it a physical attack or magic?
Spread out and use a high HP character to tank it. If he can only hit 1 person, he will usually aim for whoever is closest if there isn't class advantage. It's physical and the def ignore is effectively just -100% defense, so you do retain 20% of defense if you use a faction buff. If your tankiest character can't survive a hit it's probably a sign that you need to upgrade your gear. Use leveled SRs over level 20/30 SSRs.
So, he aims for class disadvantage first and if there is none he aims for the closest? I should probably try teleporting the tank halfway through the map to take the hit. My healers are always the ones being nuked.
That's good info, thanks. I was trying to understand his patterns. Now I get why Leon was being targeted from the ranged Aniki, he was using angels. I'll keep that in mind when I try it next time.
Physical. They usually target either whoever is closest to them or whoever is squishiest, so the go-to tactic for many players is to send out a high-mobility unit with a damage reduction talent to bait it (normal Cherie worked pretty well for this), or bait it with a healer or mage that has access to shrine maidens.

Better enchants, HP in particular, on squishier characters. Note that on Armor and Helm, HP can go up to 15%, and it's a stat i'd definitely look out for the most on healers, they really aren't the heroes to trade good HP% for 3% int instead.
Miracle and any similar -%DMG reduction effects should help too.
Chasing down Aniki ASAP can help as there's a small chance they will opt to attack a character they can reach instead of Blasting, but it's a gamble. I do advice working on surviveability of your weakest neccessary units, especially if they get 1shot
Iirc also Shrine Maidens do work in mitigating Macho Blast damage to the hero. Last Rites probably do too

Considering the fact that at the moment of the new world there are 6 units and the artwork of 4-5 other units is known, the probability is quite high. In the "best" case one of her bonds will be a banner mate.

If they add a new faction at this point, it would end up way behind with needing a faction buffer and units to supplement it. On a release schedule of 2 a month it would take them nearly half a year of hard pushing the faction to even make it semi viable which would be extremely blatant with the powercreep. It would also just be extremely f2p unfriendly. Then they would also have to justify the new addition's theme if they want to add older units with only 2 factions in. The reality is they're running out of ideas for units. We have more than 120 SSRs now and there's only so many things you can do on a standard srpg engine while also trying to incentivize people to roll. Then they also have to toe the line between making a unit relevant in Apex without being busted in PvE unless you want the powerlevel of challenges to go up again.

They're cutting it down to one precisely because the buffer isn't there anymore. 2 every MU with 2 new units released means they should always maintain pace, but collabs don't get uniques, some MU only have 1 limited unit and they use them as a way of rebalancing so some units are given them early and some later. As more units are relevant in Apex because they tried to make new ones not complete trash they have less room to make strong EE so certain units aren't overbearing.
As of now, we're missing exclusives for Z2, Lugner, Poly, JoaConnie, Grun, Sagni, Amadeus, Nymph, Tatalia, Elise, and Tomirk. That's a buffer of like 11, and maybe I'm missing an old unit or something. It goes down to 9 from Slayers, and 8 because of Apotheosis. That's only 4 months of buffer room in a game where some units are meta relevant even in Apex for a year or more. 1/2 more collabs and it would go down to 6 or 4 and we get collabs like 2-3 times a year.
During the anniversary they announced Millenium and very likely that could be the new faction, although I wouldn't be so sure because it would involve changing some faction-based PVE modes and Zlong are lazy

I finally remembered to do Valkyrie today and finished him up. I assume for pve the extra fixed proc for if I'm using Thor is better than any other armor and I just happen to have a boat load of Prisoners Gears so I can just merge them. Not sure about enchant, thinking of clock or fm.

My only full moon unit, unless you use him in PVP I don't think clock is necessary. As well as being useful for Thor and Fixed (you could also use Thor Necklace but you would lose stats), with Phalanx he is able to take cavalry hits without problem and even oneshot during the counterattack.

Friendly reminder if you don't have them all for whatever reason, if you intend to get all 12 hearts of desire we know of that costs crystals (2 in CN and 1 more coming), that'll be 48,000 crystals.
Furthermore, if "muh meta" matters, only Sigma is completely unused in any current content, and only Altemueller has rare usage.

What is exactly so wrong with SP Alte in PvE, can anyone explain? It's always a mystery to me as i don't have him, but his stats and kit seems above evrage to me. Strong ST with double tap as long as there're targets nearby, prebattle heal, tons of stats and DR. Looks like a solid unit, but anytime he's mentioned he's always handwaved like he's irredeemable
SP Altemuller has good stats but when he brings the FB he loses a skill slot reducing the number of attack skills he can use and his 3c can be used every other turn otherwise you have to wait 6 turns before attacking with it. I, like many others do not recommend it, especially after the release of Grenshiel, building SP Altemuller 6* is a waste of resources for a unit you would only use once in a while. Consider that several strong units have been added to Strategy, once you have Adankelmo/Sagani, Azusa, IBC, Lostham, J&C/Alustriel, McClaine/Archon, Lugner/Florentia and Grenshiel (which at 6* has higher ATK than High SP) you practically have a Strategy team capable of completing most of the PVE content without problems, SP Alte would just be an extra DPS unit without anything special. Of course, if like me you have Alte at 5-6 and don't have Grenshiel, building him might not be such a waste as it would give you a good buffer and DPS for forbidden battleground and a unit with good stats for ragnarok.

Seems like every one of my mages either millsclocks their skills fairly good by themselves (luc, log, ashe, yani1, yani2, shelf), are better off with something else (log carries book, lucretia the TS) or are just kinda garbage-yunimportant emergency side unit anyway (yjess, omounas)
you can save it for a future mage if you like at the very least lina inverse if you're pulling for slayers
or if you don't mind being very inefficient, you can slap it on bozel, even with clock, it's a 2nd 30% chance so it can help with cooldowns on spamming strategies. or lana, a magic enchant sp lana works very well. or a more offensive ibc. there's also a meme with a fully casted florentia which also lets you use crystal or full moon enchants

I'm building Light of Genesis (PvE) and just got this, which seems pretty good for her. Question, with a 6 stars LoG + this thing, do her soldiers (sorceress) get to attack if you're attacking from max range or are they too far away?
unit range = hero & soldiers
skill range = hero only since troops can't use skills
troop range = soldiers
a good example of this is lana. her talent does not increase her troop range. her 3c increases her soldier range. if sp, her new talent increases her unit range and thus skills and soldiers

Sissy White:
The healing effect is increased by 10%. At the end of the action, if 3 or more [War tocken] are consumed, the ally with the lowest health will be restored HP equal to 3x of INT and will be applied [Investment].
Kaguya:
INT +5%. At the beginning of the round, if there are 2 or more other allies within 1 circle, the range of talent application [Pig][Deer][Butterfly] will be reduced to 1 circle.
Chris:
INT +10%, when actively attacking and entering combat restores its own health after battle and obtains a random buff. The recovery amount is 2x of INT.
I like Kaguya’s. 2 ring card range was so bad for the style of play she is actually used in. But I think even in almost any style she would prefer her cards spawn within 1 ring all the time. Wish she got more Int or at least some Def or HP.
it's a nice skill but it basically solves a problem that shouldn't even exist, two rings range in both pve and pvp is too much. As much as I really like Kaguya, I prefer to use the resources needed for this skill on units that don't yet have the new passive rather than on her, not to mention the fact that the only sure way to get four cards is to surround her at every turn. Unfortunately Kaguya is one of those poorly thought out units, the long range should not have been linked to the cards and the 1c had to have a CD based on which of the three skills is used, in this way she could be another long range mage and also have different support skills from other units.
Would have been nice if they solved the problem earlier with her her EE yeah. I think for as many hoops as she needs to jump through she could stand to be a little stronger in either damage or utility. But she’s still lucky to be a holy class mage with shrine maidens. Pretty much the only reason she is able to be used at all in apex.
She is one of the strongest though, if you manage to proc tane every round. 20% INT and 20% damage is a higher modifier than what most units get, just that it won’t stack with miracle. Plus she can crit far more reliably on longer fights, has one of the best heart bonds, which is 10% damage dealt against units with debuffs, and of course the ability to perma clock her 3c. The only thing she loses out in is base int compared to units like SP Lana or Y2/Y1.
I agree but if one has to choose which long range mage to build, Kaguya is probably one of the last ones due to her problems. With or without EE, using her most of the time means moving the other units into useless or disadvantaged positions and now there are Adankelmo and Sagani who oust her from the role of the only long range mage for strategy. The alternative would be to use her with scepter of divinity, with enchant breeze and treat her like a 2+1 range mage and only take cards if possible.
Kaguya is fricking busted in DE aoe maps, not that you really need even MORE strong aoe for those. Her hat is bugged so she just straight up randomly gets 4 cards when the battle starts and always gets 2 at the start of the turn.
Helena's sounds pretty good too.
I disagree, it's just a coinflip chance at half a clock enchant of her 3c for 99.9% of cases. I can see why it interests people giving most Helenas have pretty much invested enough to basically have it already and as long as it works, it's functional, but personally I prefer less rng with higher investment. Or st least extremely favorable rng.

They really need to nut up and rebalance uniques already. There shouldn't be a single one with 1 stat boosted and it's not 10% minimum, and helmets should give HP across the board instead of memes like Angelina and Shelfaniel. Plus good and consistent effects, and if they dare to give something as basic as buff duration as the single effect, make it work like the rest of modern uniques and give a real secondary effect, like nuVirash/e-girlJessica.

As for 12C i genuinely have no clue. We've already got autoFbuffer so uh. Probably 2-range attack and some gimmicky 1c
considering how they've been pushing him to be so mixed forces focused, and his casting skill is then further forcing him into a in battle critical path, they'll likely add skills to beef that up
It depends on whether Apex will need a game changer in that period, otherwise it could be another Ledin or Almeda. Like it or not, SP and new units, more often than not, have to have a reason to exist in Apex to be strong, unfortunately.

I don't like Roland, due to the talent he can only use long range for AoE skills, all ST skills ignore melee damage reduction so scepter of divinity shouldn't work, it's basically Yulia nerfed with the ability to attack AoE. Precia doesn't seem like anything special either. It seems to me that Zlong wants to sell N units as SSR units since both, even if stronger, are not that different from Matt and Almy in terms of usefulness.
Honestly, if it weren't for fear of future bonds, I would gladly skip this banner, Lina and Zelgadiss are two units clearly superior to Precia and Roland, even Gourry seems stronger.
Just saying, comparing to Gourry is cheating because he's a literal god in a standard tank/healer PvE setup. FB plus Tiaris AB is already 7, or if you run with Rozen you can stack 5 with her passive. Plus tank auras count as buffs too. At 10 buffs, he has 50% Atk/Def, -2 CD, first strike, and infinite revive on initiate. He also has a very respectable 593 base attack in the class that gets 10% damage dealt at 7 or more buffs. Then his 3c is a 1.5x with 30% increased damage dealt on a separate modifier if you have 10 buffs because why not, on a 3T cd, reduced to 1T. It also keeps buffs on you for the turn you use it. Also he gets a 1c passive for 4 move and 15% healing after battle, skill command in case you couldn't reach 10 buffs without another aura and air slash.

Well only Ledin (due to both his unique being a tweaked version of this & bad sp that didn't fix his issues in being barely relevant in an increasingly shrinking amount of pve maps) and Jugler (just shit in modern content and powercreep means he's not nearly as crucial in old shit for newbies) have dropped out of usage entirely. Even Listell is still rarely used for AA AoE, a few time rifts & TT.
