i think its because the open world they was worried dumb kids would need them but overall the game is still overall a harder then gen 1-2
they’ve been handholdy as frick since Gen 7 and it’s been impossible to get lost since Gen 5

Whatever cave it was, it was dark and it took me over a week to get through it without Flash. I wanted to give the game up but was too in love with the series to stop. Taught me a valuable lesson about perseverance at a young age.
This makes a lot of sense. I wasn't a kid by then but I can imagine a kid getting lost in Mt. Coronet.
I was 6 when I played and somehow I was the kid who wasn't frickin moronic enough to not get flash first. When I found out there were morons that were trying to get through it without flash I was just like holy frick other people are stupid as shit. If I went in and it was pitch black I instantly said frick no and left.

OP here. I bought Black 2 but everyone told me to play Black 1 first + the save I got has a bunch of high levels + legendaries + master ball and other items so my plan is to play B1 and transfer the goods away from B2 before I erase it.
