now she dumps you if you reject Bhaal like wtf? it's so out of her character, here's a video https://twitter.com/funeralpvrty/status/1765774350597169487
There's something so wrong about changing characters left and right after a game release, yes fixing your game and adding content is good but Larian is straight up botching Minthara with this
YOU CAN'T FIX HER
Kino
Wtf I was told BG3 has no consequences
Ganker always lies
if you romance astarion and make him suck the neck of the vile blooded drow in moonrise towers there's actually a pretty heavy consequence where he will breakup with you unless you pick VERY SPECIFIC dialogue options in order to convince him to trust you again.
It's actually a pretty complex romance with him so I can see why fujos like him so much.
Why romance him anyway? He's not on my level. I romance Gods only.
>t. Gale
>I romance Gods only.
Who can't help but to?
that is the most fanfiction shit ever. I can't believe they actually put that in game
> fanfiction
As opposed to a vampire Ascendant or a Mindflayer being who once was Balduran?
mindflayer being balduran was a moronic pointless twist.
The entire game is pointless nonsense
You could say the same about the first two BG games and especially about Throne of Bhaal with its anime power battles. The series has never aimed at ambitious themes like Planescape and Disco Elysium did.
No you can't. This game is an actual joke, a perfect mirror for the state of the industry
>I romance Gods only.
game needs more stuff like this, gale ended up being one of the most interesting characters both to play as a mc and have in your party
He can basically become close to one by the end but he becomes really fricking evil if you go down that route.
Gale is for Durge only.
>Its very complicated, you have to pick the right options from the multiple choice list
You can always pirated every version before pozzed changes
>pozzed
go back poltard this is a serious thread
Keep seething cuck
Ok but does he pass?
>If I change character sex yo małe it will be male wtf???
Go back
Minthara just has no business being a party member in the first place and they don't know how to reconcile this.
why would you sacrifice so much content for the ugliest girl in the game
Because the game becomes much better after massacring all those moronic druids, devil-spawns and harpers.
It's too bad they wasted any time or resources on TWO fricking druids and they cant get the single "evil" playthrough companion right.
>they bent over backwards to stretch halsin, an obvious basic quest giver npc, into a full party memeber and they have rewritten wyll, albeit into a mind numbingly boring character
>they bring back jaheira and minsc and do a quest chain where they get reunited to save the day again
>but they won't ever bother fixing minthy or actually let you get her pregnant, a situation there's already recorded voice lines for and they wrote viconia so utterly abysmally there no chance to recruit her either
i dont understand larian anymore
They've gotten too big and wienery. You can't grow to 450 employees and still make a coherent product.
You were also supposed to get Minsc in Act 1.
I genuinely don't get all of the choices for cut content and rewrites.
It's highly unlikely. But do you think that if there is a "definitive edition". The lot of these cuts and changes will be finally restored to what they were meant to be?
honestly at this point, the stuff that would need to be added/fixed goes beyond a definitive edition.
I don't know, they've now done this front-loaded bait and switch shit with their last three games.
look at Divinity Original Sin 2s definitive edition and temper your expectations accordingly. Spoiler alert: It was a glorified patch
Tbh I would take a glorified patch. The game is still a buggy clusterfrick in multiplayer, especially in act 3. Did you know you can softlock yourself at the end of the game due to a bug?
homie, DoS2 lacked a frickton of voice acting before FE came out. It was more akin to DLC than patch thanks to that alone.
Isn't halsin literally one of the devs' self insert
>>but they won't ever bother fixing minthy or actually let you get her pregnant, a situation there's already recorded voice lines for
Ain't no fricking way, maybe i should try BG3 again
gays are to blame. Halsin was added as a companion at the last minute because of them
Anon, women and men alike were thirsting for Halsin. Same goes for Raphael and so on.
like he said: gays
i liked raphael because his voice actor put in the effort to characterize him like lae'zel's actor.
not like Minthara is any different lmao, halfassed character made playable that obviously had no coherent reason to be a party member because people were horny for her
That's a man
I don't know if it's a leftover bug from older patches, but after Patch 6 Minathra had virtually zero commentary on current events in Act III like the rest of the party members do, had no party banter with other characters out in the world, and didn't even have anything to say about killing Orin while present for it. She still has no companion quest, her romance dialogue is non-existent, and she still stands clipping inside of Halsin at camp, even though they've intentionally added more ways to recruit both of them in one run (Halsin and Minthara also still never acknowledge each other).
Helping her raid the Grove also has catastrophic consequences that last through the next two acts with zero pay off or alternate content for being evil. In fact, all you get by siding with Minthara is locking yourself out of multiple side quests and locking yourself into the worst outcomes for multiple story lines. It's clear they didn't expect the majority of players to experience her story line and only put a minimal amount of effort into her.
there's no bug, she has no content after act 1 other than some epilogue stuff. larian has only thought through the good playthrough, going evil is only sort of neat in act 3 when you can do the bhaal/slayer stuff which ties into playing a durge.
When the Early Access released they went out and encouraged people to do evil playthroughs because they were going to focus on them and wanted feedback lol.
I think that Durge was meant to be the true "evil" option that they somehow couldn't get to gel with the start of the game so they just threw up their hands and said "FRICK IT!" then made durge into its own character. I also think that the extremely obvious rework of the early story when they decided to remove Daisy and instead use emperor fricked over pretty much everything with the story past act 1. The lack of actual consequences for using your tadpole makes me think that Daisys route was meant to be the original evil route before Durge came into the picture with the rewrite, Daisy was probably meant to lure you into joining the absolute and corrupt your allies with the promise of power and when she was cut out of the game so was every choice that was related to siding with the bad guys of the story.
For being so haphazardly thrown together the story still manages to be intriguing but it is also glaringly obvious that something went very wrong in the writers room halfway through development
Can I get a QRD on Daisy? I avoided engagement with the game and its players during the EA period.
daisy was the parasite in your head like the emperor, she wanted to tempt you into using powers so you could 'stay with her' as you went full squid. the game song 'down by the river' is all about her.
https://bg3.wiki/wiki/Cut_and_unimplemented_content
Interesting. The Emperor is okay but his story becomes increasingly messy and convoluted as it goes along. The reveal of his former human identity is quite meaningless in the context; it changes nothing, and there's no reason to care. A simple seducer entity might have been more effective in the role.
I honestly lost a lot of interest in the game when I got to act 3 and never played very far in to it because of the Emperor stuff
There are a few benefits to being “evil” though yeah not anything in act 2 at all which makes it feel empty since half of the quests are relating to the grove frickers and and the other half are bosses you can talk into suicide.
Dark urge has several benefits, but besides that, there’s giving the girl to the hag for +1 stat and the hag can then join you in the final battle after doing a quest for her, evil astarion gets buffs and good summons vs brain, evil shart gives you some items, light does too, but evil also gives you the summons vs the brain. Wyl being “”evil”” also gives you some content but it’s not really that interesting or strong tbh. Dark urge has good amount of his own shit though to where it definitely feels cucked to play evil and not be a murderous psychopath. Minthara/Halsin/the throwbacks just don’t have much content compared to the other characters.
How do you get Shadowheart evil?
let her kill aylin and go full sharran
Stab nightsong, become the new leader of the shadowfrickers, kill mommy and daddy. You need to grab that shar spar to kill the nightsong though.
I have never been able to get her to kill Nightsong, she always pussies out
Really? Weird, I’ve only killed her twice with shart, but she was pretty eager to do it. I thought it was the opposite where you needed to convince her NOT to stab her.
i think her choice depends on her approval of the mc. i have played evil durge and did both 'just kill her lol' and 'do what you want' options and both times she kills aylin easily. i did good play through with a dip into selunite cleric and convincing her was easy but the 'do what you want' option could go either way. you can always just reload until she kills aylin. i sort of hand wave the jankiness as part of her brainwashed character just not knowing what the hell she really wants and has to be pushed and the consequences can be dealt with later.
You have to push her to do it.
I legitimately hate every other type of charactergays from this game so seeing fans of characters other than my favorite suffer makes me so happy.
I beat the game when I pirated it.
Can't imagine people actively playing this unfinished game, just wait for definitive edition.
There is not much reason to play it untill modding tool comes around, I've done 4 playthroughs and whatever content is left is pretty insignificant. Also
>Muh le evil woman doesn't approve when I don't do le evil things
Are you moronic?
>rewrote the most tragic ending to be more optimistic
probably the only good change larian made tbh
Could've fixed Karlach heart but that got cut. I'll take what I can get, but still shit.
Of all women romances they only nailed the frog. Shadowbawd is a bawd. Minthara speaks and looks like granny despite the character itself giving strong 30 y.o. woman vibes. Karlach is somewhat ok, but too foolish and feels a bit fake.
It's pretty clear that they only care about Shadowshit
Dead and forgotten game. Zero cultural impact. Let it go.
Larian fricks up everything.
just finished my evil playthrough and the ending cutscene is 2 minutes without an epilogue. literally every other ending has an epilogue and is a massively better ending
