Its called games
>children
Fixed that for you.
youre right
It's called Stockholm syndrome.
Nintendo could sell literal shit in a box and their cult of stunted manchildren would buy it.
unless its the wiiU, virtual boy, gamecube, or early years of the 3DS*
You're thinking of snoys. Half of all Nintendo consoles underperform expectations
You mean like the Wii U and Gamecube you subhuman homosexual?
turns out people dont care about power or graphics
shocking, I know
>much cheaper than the competition
>full-size games on the go is a very attractive gimmick, especially in its home market
>launched with a bunch of Wii U gems that nobody played
>decent first-party support
>much cheaper than the competition
It was a good package. I still maintain that the DS/PSP era was the golden age of mobile gaming and nothing will ever come close again.
females are good consoomers
all current gen consoles are shit
Yeah but I can’t play 7th generation games at 60 FPS which is a major failure. It’s also been practically barren for the last 3 years after Nintendo blew their fricking load.
>be affordable
>be available
>have games
I know, it shocked me too when people don't give a frick about processing power and just want good games.
It's literally the only console with games worth a shit that aren't found on the PC. Of course it's curbstomping playstation and xbox right now.
Only autist snoys care about muh cinematic experience because they want braindead games
the only reason to use a console over pc is if the console offers me anything pc doesn't
in the switch's case, portability. The Steam Deck might change that, but application suspension is never going to be as seamless as it is on a console.
The only other reason to play consoles over pc was convenience, which hasn't been a factor for playstation and xbox for over a decade since they started turning consoles into bloated media machines.
Once again the switch wins by being the least bloated and annoying console on the market, AND you can pick it up and bring it to any place where you can play it with or without a TV. It's the most accessible and convenient console right now, debatable ever. PSP was capable of similar feats but had its own pitfalls.
tldr switch is the only console that isn't fighting something else for a niche. It's uncontested at what it does, or at least it will be until 2030 when everyone gets their steam decks. But even still, steam deck is an immature platform.
XBox, Playstation, Steam.
Vanilla, French Vanilla, Vanilla extra cream.
All the competitors are fighting for the same market, Nintendo is going after both fans of Nintendo 1st parties and handheld gamers.
Most people who own a Switch probably have one of the other gaming devices, it doesn't matter which, they are basically the same.
The most amount of gaming occurred during March 2020 to June 2021 during the heat of the pandemic when most people were locked down. What did we have available?
>PS4
Last gen console, old, people who wanted one already got one.
>Xbox One
Nobody cared about this.
>Used 3DS
Sold out everywhere, prices doubled overnight.
>Switch
Sold out everywhere. Nearly impossible to get. Stock just kept getting bought out.
They're still locking us down like commies. PS5 is sold out. Xbox One X might come up sometimes. At the end of the day, Nintendo can produce 5x as many ARM chips as Microsoft or Sony can produce their X86 chips.
Games
uncontested in the handheld area for years. SteamDeck is not a true competitor.
>great variety of exclusive titles
>convienece in portability and hybrid features
>still waggle shit for people who care about that
>cracked day one so pirates and haters even bought one
Vs
>xbox and Playstation offering basically nothing of value anymore
Turns out most people don't care about power or graphics.
Who knew?
For starters, you can actually go to a store and fricking buy a Switch. It’s a no-brainer.
