I'm honestly pessimistic on this issue. We already had the exact same issue occur with the minis-event in JP, still can't view the story in the archives to this day. Don't recall if this is the rerun event or the rewrite they did for the current event but I hope it's the former. Hit the shield 5 times to disable it's defense buff then keep attacking it normally. Hit the main boss at least 5 times per turn so it damages itself. The sword is pretty straightforward. Use units who can either counterattack or do followup attacks and put them in a + shape so it's A2 only hits one unit. Remember that last part when you do the interlude boss.

Check the drop lists with the "First Clear Reward" notes to get all the equipment if you're missing any. You might not need some if you account for the stats through other means (I know for sure that I didn't have Mini Perrault when trying this strat).

Main "priority" is beating stage 8-8, but I don't mean you have to rush through it, I just mean that once that hurdle's done, the rest of the game becomes much smoother in progression. Going through the old events will give you a lot of good characters and equipment.
Specifically if you play the Korean version, this might not be mentioned in any newbie guides, but they have recently added feature for offline farming. You basically set a squad, put them in a stage that you beat with a 4-star clear for 1-3 hours (longer if you purchase slot upgrades), and then you can just close the app and return and you'll get a bunch of EXP and grinded units/items when you return.
If you play JP, you won't have that feature. So, there's no stamina system in this game, you instead use resources depending on character strength and how many merges they have. So because of that, people recommend to not merge any characters you use constantly until you can max merge them, and for farming characters they tell you to keep an unmerged copy altogether so that you save resources.

I'm still slowly working on my (kinda JP biased) super newbie guide.
Got instillation instructions and a ton of links to guides/resources mostly done, but I'm still working on stuff like newbie questions and character introductions. Might push it out the door soon and update it with that stuff later.
The JP DMM version can be a little buggy, but it for the most part it just werks. Sometimes they frick up the hidden English translation which results in a black screen or two while using it, but it can be bypassed either by temporarily switching back to Japanese or using an English patch made by people on the community discord.
I'm glad my wife was shown some appreciation and got another skin. Though I still like this one a bit better overall. Sometimes less is more, y'know?

The ratio of the three resources changes which facility part you're going to get. However higher quantities changes the level of the facility. For example common appearing at any amount, premium appearing once you dump in a 150 minimum, forget how much you need for the highest level.

Anyway, I started KR maybe 2 years ago and changed to JP when the PC client came out because LDPlayer used too much memory. If you did not start KR yet then there is no need to start now. I don't believe there is any advantage on playing KR from the beggining, there is too much to farm, and too many chips to max out.
Playing JP is much more comfy on PC client and if you know what you are doing you can reach the main mission 9-X in 1-2 weeks max on JP and start the real content which is Sanctum/Events/Resource Farming right away.

If you have like top tier chips maxed you could do them on auto with fully maxed Eternity + Lemonade Alpha/Ramiel/Leona at low health. I tried doing that but couldn't finish it. At some point I had to try my strategy I used for 90% of the levels from 2-1 to 3-60 which is HIGH EVASION teams.

You have 2 options here. You can used Khan maxed out with evasion points/chips and Dust Storm. When I played KR I think I got it early from an event. Currently on JP you can only get it from 9-4EX, that's hard.
Second option is Arachne + Sleipnir. I went for this option because it was easier to get. You can get the recipe for Arachne in around 3-4 days of research, 1 copy is enough. Put her on the back and Sleipnir on the front with some evasion gear, now you can evade almost 99% of the attacks. You have 3 slots left for your top tier attackers, Eternity, Sowan whatever.

Keep using evasion teams with mixed units. Sometimes you will need Ice attackers or fire attackers, you will need to take more care than ever with enemies who retaliate, it's very hard to go full auto here.

Nice, thanks. I just started last month on KR, but the event we just had was the Winter Ark one, so I basically got all of those from the event/exchange shop lol. Good to know Sleipnir has a good use too, since she was one of my favs that I maxed right away.
Sleipnir is very OP as long as evasion is concerned. You should try to get Harpyia to add together with Sleipnir so you can get follow up attacks, these are great because Sleipnir can evade retaliates and Harpyia is a decent attacker with good defense penetration, this duo will solve most of your retaliation problems.
You should also look for supporters who can buff Sleipnir for that extra evasion when necessary, like Machina, Audrey, Muse.
If you choose Khan as your evasion defender you can use Salamander and Quick Camel for follow up attacks and also fire damage.
Other common strategies are Glacias + Ella + Rhea for ice damage insta kills, very powerful. In a few levels you might be able to use the unreliable but extremely powerful immortal team with Goltarion + Faucre + Black Lilith.
And when evasion isn't viable you can use the defense and elemental tanks like Bloody Panther, Echidna, Black Wyrm.
Those are a few that I can remember at the moment

I doubt JP will ever totally catch up, but they are trying to close the gap it seems.
I can't predict the future for update release timing, but the KR offline farming is actually huge. JP will get it eventually too, but speaking as a new-ish player, it made a huge difference in my progress, where before the update I would be lucky to grind a SS character I wanted from the event, whereas now I can easily get a 5-link LV90+ SS character in like 2 days. Also it's just stupid efficient, not just for time, but you can just throw in a 0-Link B-rank character like Fallen to profit a ton on resources whenever you need to.

Comparing JP to KR, JP has the PC Client, while KR doesn't. JP has easier and risk-free payment methods if you don't have a Korean way of paying (more on that later).
Comparing JP mobile vs PC, in theory one main benefit of PC is that you didn't need patches, since there's a translation built-in that you access through regedit, so you only switch to English once and never need to update. In practice, that didn't end up being the case, because the recent events were messed up, so you needed to switch between Japanese and/or use patches anyways. PC's still preferred though.

Now, as to the actual banning matter, just being transparent I wouldn't be able to tell how big the actual risk is, because I haven't seen anyone report of actually getting banned. That doesn't mean there's no risk, but it doesn't seem like a common problem, just something to be cautious of. I mean, if you're gonna do it, just be smart. You're using a burner Google account, so just use a spare credit card too to see if it goes through.
Android emulators being shady is sort of common knowledge, at least if you've been playing mobile games for a while.
Personally, LD Player spiked my CPU usage pretty badly back when I installed it a few years ago. The problem persisted through uninstalling, and I eventually had to resort to a factory reset, so I wouldn't recommend using it or other emulators.
That said, a lot of people either don't have any problems using emulators, or don't care if they do, but I still think JP's PC client is worth using instead if only for peace of mind.

Manual Replacement
Step by step guide:
1. Download jp_pc_mtl.zip
2. Extract it
3. Go to the game folder, path: C:Users<Your Username>AppDataLocalLowUnityPiG Corporation_LastOrigin_R (Note: game folder name may be different in the future, ping me if that happes)
4. Go and search for localization folder, open it
5. You will see a folder with a random codename, open it, and you will see a file named __data
6. Copy the __data file from the localization folder in extracted patch folder, then paste and replace the __data file in the game folder
7. Do the same for table_localization_ja: copy the __data file from the table_localization_ja folder in extracted patch folder and replace the file in the respective game folder (table_localization_ja)
You're gonna have to do this every update as well. No worries about deleting or uninstalling the old patch as the game replaces patched files.

It does fix the broken cutscenes in the current event along with anything that was broken before(april fools, hirume 2nd side story, etc.). Since you're changing the jp localizization files with the modded ones. Anyway your choice if you want to use this. I just hope this helps for anyone wanting to read up on things again.

The best available to you is probably going to be what you can buy from the shops and the odd chance that you'll get an SS drop from the stages. Otherwise, make due with the S equivalent of whatever you can find, but don't level them. If you don't have your research tree done, then you'll destroy your resources trying to level gear. That's where everyone burns most of their resources on, so there's no point in worrying about gear until you get to that point. You're gonna be stuck with unoptimized for a while until you finish your research tree.

The max evasion you can get her solo from stats is 209 + 200 + (20 x3) = 469 at level 120.
At some point you will want to use units that can boost evasion to help her get 500 EVA.

Crafting takes a special ratio of resources to get a desired kind of unit, and even then it's too luck based to be viable for new players
If you want S and SS tiers you need to grind Event stages, usually, or blitz thru the story until you get ID from chapter 8 guaranteed 1st clear drops and then go grind stages.
Targeting specific units by using the Creation History or some guide online does help, but it's still random, the build timers are the giveaway for rarity i'm sure you've noticed, every unit has a specific build timer
doing the crafting slot machine only really guarantees S/SS units in the special creation
but the resource cost in that is a hilarious waste, especially the modules
like
said, you will mostly get your units and their dupes from events, so it's FOMO and the stuff they gradually add to the evergreen pool

Be warned that tier lists will always trigger people. If you are a new player then fine, but do your own research, read the wiki and choose units with your own peepee.
The OP units work on their own, but an OP team can be made with girls from any tier, if you plan accordingly and properly level them up. Chips/OSs/Gear are more important than the rarity of a unit.

Unlike other games where you have combat trinity. Defenders in this game either fall into the category of literally invincible for a stage or utter garbage, gets killed turn 1 and now your whole team is dead.
You'll be cycling through a lot of tanks depending on the circumstances, needing evasion, needing high defense, needing a specific elemental resist, needing to protect key unit types that your "default tank" cant provide cover and etc.
Follow the list the other anon linked you first, get your farmers set up since they typically go solo. Then for tanks I'd level up Marie, she's an SS tank you get for free early on. Very durable, protects light units which you'll mainly be using since you won't have the resources to deploy expensive units like heavies. After that consider investing into an evasion defender of your choice. Most will suck, at low levels due to evasion being an high investment stat but they'll allow you to cheese things your Marie can't handle on rare occasion.
Those are my defenders for now

She's one of the best units you get early. She has a single target taunt (provoke) forcing enemies to attack her but her main niche is obliterating stages with flying enemies with her buffs. Also has a 3x3 wide aoe attack for what its worth.
Your next best defender is probably snow feather. Good EVA tank, can sometimes solo, has elemental damage for annoying high defense enemies and can counter attack/stunlock.

The fire ones, big chick cannon? They aren't that threatening. If you kill them before the attack lands the attack dissipates mid air. However if you don't have the dps for it you need someone with row/column protect to defend all units in its aoe simultaneously . Target protect won't cut it.

Did you check the past events yet? You can get a few guaranteed units just doing the normal missions which are super easy. Also in these events you have a higher chance of dropping units compared to the main story zones. Also in main story zones you should aim for 7-8, you are guaranteed to get Invincible Dragon, a great support unit with many uses.

See the enemies with the red thing? Read their skills again and then read yours. You will see that when you attack the red enemies without killing them, there is a high chance that all your light units will get a debuff that makes you do less % damage to all heavy enemies.
So, how do you fix that? Either you need someone on your team that can remove this debuff, like Armand, or you need to have heavy/flying units to kill them, they are not affected by the light units debuff. Or have a really strong light unit that can kill them in 1 hit

The second most OP team is basically Muse + Sleipnir + Arachne

You need 1 Arachne only, she will mark the tank at the frontline which is Sleipnir. You need full link Slepnir for maximum evasion, she can reach 500+ evasion which is insane. Muse can negate evasion debuffs and also buff Sleipnir evasion.
Your last 2 units can be anyone really. I used orangeade who buffs attack and Harpyia who has good attack and can follow up attack after Sleipnir, negating retaliation.
I traded for Glacias with my ticket and now I am farming Oberon.

Farming is the main way to get units in this game. Vast majority of the time you'll get B ranks but you just have to be really patient. The main story quests have lower droprates than events too IIRC.
The drop rates change according to stages but overall it goes like this:
- 1 SS = 500 runs
- 1 S = 100 runs
- 1 A = 10 runs
- 1 B = 1 runs
This is regarding Bioroids unit drops. AGS unit drops have way lower rate.

Where are you getting those numbers from? You get more than 1 B rank pretty often from a single run.
Overall feeling. As I mentioned, stages have different drop percentages. Meaning that in 1 run, in a stage you might get 5 B units but in other stages. You may need to do multiple runs to get 1 B unit.

Wrong info. There is no way to bypass auto targeting marked enemies. The only thing with higher priority over marked is the provoked state. So unless you are being provoked by the unit in the center of the map you will always hit the marked enemy.
I am quite sure that I have found myself several times not targeting enemies with the marked status. Is there any difference if the enemy themselves use the marked status or if an ally applies it to an enemy?

If I were to runs this I would use Eternity + Ramiel or Lemonade Alpha + Ramiel. It really depends on how strong/fast they are. Maybe even Eternity + Leona if you want to make it cheaper.

Also just having 1 copy of an SS unit is not good enough for hard levels. You will want to farm units at some point so you can link them and get max bonuses at level 90 and full link. If you are feeling too lazy to farm units then get some S rank unit that seems good and use the blue cores:

The korean version is a lost cause if you don't have anyone from korea to vouch for you, you need a korean id to buy stuff there and it's also IP blocked. In the Japanese version you just pay through DMM using paypal or whatever.

Supposedly it breaks the ToS and can ban the credit card you register with that account, but I haven't seen an actual report of that happening. However, what I do know from the reports is that even though the VPN stuff works, it's a pain in the ass or might take multiple tries for it to go through.
That method still wouldn't work. Because LO is 18+ on google play, you still need to verify your age, which still requires a KR phone number. The problem is getting past the age rating.

But the character interactions overall gave it SOVL, the jokes and the interactions between MC and the characters. LO feels so plastic at least at the point I'm at, it feels like for each chapter the plot and dialogue ends in mission 1 and it's just repeated until last mission.

Yes. If you're talking about war-time interactions, like characters talking about the consequences of being a soldier and all that, then yeah, same goes for fun quirky interactions as well. I will say this though, most of the good stuff is in the events rather than they main story. I will say that there's a big change in tone/quality around the 8th chapter if we're going by the main story's timeline, but again, you'll see most of it from the events.
When I was a new player, the Side Stories are what really drew me in. Like Johanna's about how she was an actress for Crusade movies, but because of the deranged director wanting to give realistic scenes, he discards special effects and has Johanna actually slaughter Bioroids to make the films.
Between those and the comics, I'm more interested in the setting before the Metal Parasite invasions instead of the post-apocalyptic stuff we have for the main game.

There really isn't much that falls into this category. As someone who has only been playing for about a year and not since JP launch. I've managed to collect about 99% of the rosters along with most of their exclusive gear. The only thing I think you could end up feeling FOMO for are SSS chips which from what I can tell only drop from events (and only from the more recent ones too). However I think you are eventually allowed to promote your SS chips to SSS, just not yet in JP. Maybe a KR anon can confirm this.
I have the KR version installed and yes, you can promote SS chips to SSS, but only some of them (the beta version chips, the ones which also have a penalty).
The only thing that is no longer obtainable is the pre-registration skin for Constantia but everything else is available, event units always get added to the unit productions the patch after and they may even gift you one copy or so.

Whenever I try installing the MTL patch I get a random a bunch of numbers for newer events for some reason. The older events are translated fine but the newer ones just don't seem to work. I'm using LDplayer and I'm definitely copying the patch into the right area.

Got bored of farming just for the sake of farming and decided to finally tackle the challenge modes I left on pause.
Honestly when you don't look up the solutions online it's a surprisingly good puzzle. Especially the predator ones, last time I attempted his set of challenges the big chicks just shredded right through any tank I threw at them. Few months pass and now the chuuni duo just curb stomps their nonsense while eternity just mops them up quickly over a few turns. Wonder why they stopped releasing new challenge stuff and mostly just do Sanctum and whatever the new raid things are. Personally liked this content much more than sanctum, even though they are similar in nature.

Yah, she's great. Probably one of the best launch B rank bioroids around (once you promote her).
She's a pretty good universal character that isn't glued to any specific team. However if you do pair her with Cyclops princess they can go pretty nutty with co-op attacks smacking the whole field, LRL pumping AP, Cyclops Princess pumping speed in return while also disabling counterattacks. Which is typically LRL's one big weakness you'd notice if you use her regularly. Gotta use her exclusive equipment for co-op attacks but you either get it for free or as a guaranteed drop from one of the earlier chapter EX mission clears. I forget which.

Totally fine reason, because you're kinda stuck in F2P limbo unless you have payment connections to Korea or can manage to bypass Google's payment restrictions.
I will say this about emulators though in case you end up playing other gachas, I've been using LDPlayer and it doesn't use a ton of memory (RAM), the most is maybe CPU, but you can restrict what cores to use in the settings, and learning to change the settings from the default helps in general for performance.

LO does give you something like 1500 tuna as part of the NUX (new user experience); the thing is, you have to spend a good deal of it increasing your various inventories.
Most of the HC rewards are one-time (like completing a company lineup in the compendium, or an achievement). The recurring HC rewards are very small.

10c have most likely leaned hard on KTH to make it a payfest, but I think a good part of it comes from his disappointment with how badly income tanked on DC. It outright collapsed after the first year, and the JP/GL launches did very little to reverse the trend. Though, I still cannot understand why they didn't revamp monetization after Line Games left (leaving SU as sole owners) in summer 2019.

Depends if you wanna buy skins. It's easier to pay in JP. Korea has some restriction on Google Play unless you have a Korean phone number or something. So if you know someone from Korea, go for it. I think there's a workaround if you ask in the Discord, but I don't know much and I heard it's a hassle/inconsistent.

It's pretty easy to patch KR after you do it once. How easy it is to setup to begin with depends on how well you get a grasp on Android emulation and file locations. Go to the Discord, and you get the game app, the patcher app, and the patch. You just set up a folder to install the translation patch, update that folder whenever there's a new patch, and use the patcher app to install whenever there's a new patch or game update.

The closest units that come to "not missing" is either promoted Dark Elven when she misses an attack and gets a massive buff on the next attack, or Brunhild's passive skill that deals DoT to all enemies each round, although that doesn't count as an attack.
To add to what the other two anons said, some units have skill level-based ACC+ boosts on their actives (Galatea A1, Raven A2, Talon Feather A2, Neodym A2, Tommy Walker A2, maybe some others).
I think Raven's and Neodym's are particularly nice, since Raven's A2 also removes EVA/DR buffs on crit, making evasive enemies easy pickings, and Neodym just wipes out all buffs in a 3x3 protection-ignoring wave and reduces EVA and SPD after stacking her passive by spamming A1. Raven has to watch out for counters, though.
