Stop using overrated IPS panel and get high end monitor with VA panel that doesn't introduce smearing.
I still don't know why IPS is considered best panel when it's glow and contrast is so bad that i'd rather take TN or cheap VA with it's slow pixel reaction over that shit.
>Why did we move to inferior display tech in the 2000s?
money, easier to ship lcds
>high end monitor with VA panel that doesn't introduce smearing.
does not exist and samsung is the only good one and they are also shit both in smear+qc is shit
if you are a heavy casualgay this is maybe acceptable
if you are not poor you can just buy oled/qdoled though
>pay a premium for OLED >have to be constantly worrying about burn-in
memento mori you neurotic anxious frick
accept death and you will accept running oled light at 100% like a real ligma male
this is NOT a paid shill planned obsolescence post
>ips >glow and contrast >VA >curved screens and smear >oled >burn in and text clarity
There's just no good fricking monitor tech
you pick the one that soothes your autism the most, its very simple
The blacks on my IPS aren't perfect, but that monitor on the right is clearly just a total piece of shit.
Burn in is still an issue it is just less likely to happen.
The software has to aggressively dim the screen in large bright scenes and it can be distracting once you notice it.
Also OLED have issues in darker screens with picture smearing during darker gradient transitions.
This isn't something software can overcome given what OLED tvs are made of.
OLED tvs are a lot like Plasma screens. They are great at one thing but there are a lot of issues that come with them (low nits, picture smearing, chance of burn in and color degradation).
A high end mini LED TV just has slight blooming but it is pretty much better at everything else.
Once Micro LED tvs become cheaper in 5 to 10 years you will see OLED tvs go the way of the Plasma screen.
Most of the people posting shitty looking LCD panels are doing it to get a rise out of people.
Anyone who has a high end mini LED TV knows how good they are and the faults they still have.
You really don't have to worry about burn in if you get a decent screen. Most have features built in to prevent it, and unless you're leaving it on 24/7 display the exact same still image you'll most likely never experience noticeable burn in for the life of the screen
My phone suffers from burn in from playing one vidya too much.
Shills always pretend that games can't cause burn in, despite the fact UI is static almost every time.
how come my oled phone used for 5 hours a day at full brightness with many static elements has no visible burn in after 4 years but I should worry about a new oled TV I play 2 hours a day on at 40% brightness?
>open local shop website >the very first review is user complaining about burnouts after 5 (five) damn months even though he used the maintenance software you supposed to run every 4 fricking hours
Holy shit just gas all OLED Black folk and finish microLED already.
seriously how come vita's likely dogshit screen is still alright years later and switch oled apparently can last years yet at same time gays spend a couple grand on monitors that somehow burn in in months and it's not even user issue?
that's what hairband when you buy bargain bin Chinxshit
still have my LCD TV from 2008 and it looks nothing like your pic. just played Doom 3 on it last month, too.
>Why did we move to inferior display tech
Because we would rather not call on four giggahomies just to move the TV. LCDs always sucked but they are cheaper, lighter, and larger than previous tech

>responding to CRTards
Sir....
Yeah, this. That said I switched to TV for PC display.
VA is the worst panel for gaming
va is blatently better than ips an tn you moron
>I love black smearing
Good for you.
Only good VA panel on the market is 240Hz from scamsung and at that point you can buy OLED.
and that 240hz va from scamsung still has smear
worse for motion, which is what gayming is reliant on, so, worse
no, its not worse for motion
only problem va faces is poor viewing angles which is a non-issue for a pc monitor
>high end monitor with VA panel that doesn't introduce smearing.

yeah if you're buying a five year old one
newer OLEDs have built in tech to where burn in is a non issue

You also worry about your phone getting burn-in like a moron too?
But that does happen
My phone suffers from burn in from playing one vidya too much.
Shills always pretend that games can't cause burn in, despite the fact UI is static almost every time.
how come my oled phone used for 5 hours a day at full brightness with many static elements has no visible burn in after 4 years but I should worry about a new oled TV I play 2 hours a day on at 40% brightness?
>how come that man who drank poison didn't die
>all poison must now be safe
meanwhile, in the land of not being poor and having a job, we've solved this with qd oled
Just recently got my hands on the AW3423DWF blows everything else I've had away and it has 3 year warranty so frick it.
>OLED
I'm sorry for your loss

There's just no good fricking monitor tech
If you have megabux go buy a microLED
The blacks on my IPS aren't perfect, but that monitor on the right is clearly just a total piece of shit.
And now an image that isn't from about 20 years ago
but that's not fair hes using a display panel with non shit contrast ratios
I'm too poor to afford anything actually good
That's the shittiest LCD you could ever find. Straight from 2008.
Nah, you need to make you room pitch black for CRT to not look like shit.
LCDs have much higher peak brightness and the surface is less reflective.
This says more about Dell products than anything else
>we
you have no input on what monitors are produced unless you're in the C suite or on the board of a corporation that makes monitors
Stop playing in the dark, moron.
even if you don't play in the dark it's blatant
you need at least 10k contrast or better for it not to be blatant
that's what hairband when you buy bargain bin Chinxshit
still have my LCD TV from 2008 and it looks nothing like your pic. just played Doom 3 on it last month, too.
TNchads, we win as usual.
>Why did we move to inferior display tech
Because we would rather not call on four giggahomies just to move the TV. LCDs always sucked but they are cheaper, lighter, and larger than previous tech
>Not using a Sony BVM dual pane LCD
NGMI
>Lightweight
>Energy efficient
>Better heat dissipation
>Easier to have multiple displays desk or wall mounted
got to love when people use shitty panels as a representation of LED tvs as a whole.
I've had my Q90NA for two years and it gets deeps blacks and very bright highlights.
because CRT was trash
btw shadow warrior 2 sucks
