i never finished this game and don't mind spoilers so can anyone tell me the significance of that female ghost near the start ?
she acts as if you had some undying love with her but mr protag has no clue what she's talking about.
i dropped it around the part you meet the succubus.
was just wondering if that was his dead wife or something.
>i never finished this game and don't mind spoilers so can anyone tell me the significance of that female ghost near the start ?
Oh boy. >when it hits you
The problem isn't wordswordswords, the problem is it's still an infinity engine game with a fair amount of combat that is even more basic that it's predecessor BG1, and on top of that tied most of the optional dialogue to fricking Wisdom
Just use console commands and cheat the combat, its fricking garbage.
It came and went with barely a burp. It failed hard. Then game "journalists" arrived looking for something to make themselves look interesting and here we all are.
But it's definitely a great game though. Always was. It just simply couldn't compete against Baldur's Gate, which chronologically it followed release-wise.

It was developed at the same time as BG1 and Wisdom has tangible gameplay benefits outside of dialogue choices, like a nice bonus to Luck and gained XP points.
I don't think anything is useless, even high CON gives you some unexpected choices, but this is definitely a INT/WIS kind of game that pushes you towards being a mage.
Why didn't more RPGs go down this route? I don't really mean mechanically, but how much it being a mystery works so well while all the characters, events and worlds itself REINFORCE that mystery and eventual answers. No RPG really clicks together like PS:T.
Don't worry, I'm already totally spoiled for a lot of the major shit.
I fricked up like an idiot and tried to play it on the PS4 at first which was a fricking chore. I corrected this error and now the experience is smooth as butter.
le many words "game"s still going strong
what the frick is wrong with their hands?
Dishonored syndrome
Yaoi hands
It would be better with more words tbh
zoomer here, I also shat my pant over it because it was great as far as video game stories goes
tell me you're uneducated without saying you're uneducated
western developers didn't know VNs were a thing until bible black happened.
Guys help I’m stuck in the robot dungeon what spells should I use
hope u got some paper and a pen cuz you pretty much hae to draw a map or you'll be lost for hours
if you wanna kill the end boss he's in the north then east i re call, and nordom is in the west
ignus terror, I hope you have Ignus with you. Otherwirse just skip the rooms and find the NPC, all you get is a unique spell scroll I believe.
Use buffs on your guys like Strength of One, those are the most important spells in my opinion
Also you can go back to the entrance to rest if you need to, just make sure you draw a map so you don't get lost

>watching the sensory stone scenes
Kino.
Just use console commands and cheat the combat, its fricking garbage.
>cheat the combat
Why? It's more or less trivial and high level spells are kino.
>listening to Deionarra Theme in car
It hurts.
The sensory stone scene was one of the few times a game has ever caused me tears.
we not only shit, but we piss as well
Nope.

BG2 is basically PST2. WIthout PST we would've had BG1 the second part.

this, it's obvious that you want to put points into WIS no matter your build, which is why cleric isn't a playable class, to balance that shit out.
I dit a charisma/wisdom run and missed tons of intelligence dialogue options.
>Weebs and zoomers can't read past one sentence.
Unlocking the bronze sphere was the hypest shit.
Is there a clearly best build? I remember some anon saying certain stats are next to useless, but I don't remember which ones they were.

What's with zoomers and pant-shitting? Do they have a scat fetish or what?

because it requires good writing . I think it also worked out so well BECAUSE written word was the primary asset they had to work with. cheap stuff.
Wut, amnesia and mysteries are dime a dozen in rpgs.
OP is actually a huge fan of Planescape and just wants to bait discussion, just be honest bro
It was the first pc WRPG I actually finished because it was interesting
Playing through right now because of how good everybody says it is.
They are correct.
Also holy shit I forgot how ass old DND rules were.
Leave this thread. Don't worry about the combat, it's really easy except for maybe one or two encounters.

They make sense if you roll your character, but that rarely works in vydia outside of roguelikes.
Endure. In enduring grow strong.
>when he finds out what the final boss did
JUSTICE does not stand for chicanery.
I love how you have to be outright careful in dialog with him and Ignus. and have characters in general respond to situations.
made him kys lol
Combat was very forgettable but the writing and dialogue was pretty good.
