I bought cp2077 when I got my 3080 to make it sweat and it was a pretty decent game.
Now if all the sidequests had the quality of the main story or even some of the sidequests in the witcher 3 it could have been a great game, but it played like a somewhat-imsim somewhat-rpg with nice graphics and derpy systems and it felt like an AA game at best but with a very shiny coat of paint
Expac is supposed to fill out the entire city with more chars and missions and activities according to the leaks. Seems like theyre doing a Hearts of Stone but 10x as big thing instead of a Blood and Wine thing. Pacifica and the Underground are getting massive overhauls.
Given that they mentioned being inspired by Rockstar methodologies I won't be surprised if they mimic Rockstar's plan of abandoning the RDR scene to dedicate full resources to the new GTA.
In any time they'll be saying CP77 goodbye and work on the next Witcher title, for sure.
What this means is either they start firing down the untalented people from their staff and go back to their prime years of having a small team with great talent and make a successful Witcher title. or they finish digging that putrid hole and let the dirt pile up on them.
Yes, they own the Witcher's right. They scammed (as the gypsies they are) Sapkowski, the writer of the novels and bought the rights for a couple bucks.
>They scammed (as the gypsies they are) Sapkowski
They didn't, after TW3 became a megahit Sapkowski just got salty he sold the rights for pocket change.
It's still a Scam, no matter how legal it was.
They took advantage of his ignorance and paid no respect to the man who created what the developers considered a great series.
That's being scummy.

I hate this fricking >IT WAS BAD AT RELEASE DUE TO BUGS BUT ITS A GOOD GAME NOW!
meme
No, its just genuinely a shit fricking game, the gunplay is shit, the RPG elements are shit, the progression is shit, the story is rushed shit, the graphics are shit
I genuinely hate the fact that it came out so bugged because then they wouldnt be able to use it as an excuse for bad score

I bought it for VR and am still waiting for them to add it
you could just post the headline, you didn't need green text, spongebob capitalization AND le, they don't even make sense together
So, bullish? What do they have coming down the pipeline, or will they be acquired by a M$ or Snoy soon?

And get bought mainly for their IP's. Or do they not own Witcher?
This. It's very 2019-facebook-ey

they didn't scam him, he sold for cheap because he thought video games were a joke that would amount to nothing

The bugs unironically helped them in the longrun since everyone focused on them instead of criticizing the fundamental problems.
I honestly don't think the AAA audience would have had any problem with it if it worked out of the box.
